She responded to my initial email request from their site pretty quickly and then was SUPER responsive. She came on a really short notice to meet my two cats and grab a set of my keys and I felt comfortable after meeting her - she's super friendly and nice and seems to really love cats. I had her come twice over the weekend to feed and play with them (and do some light litterbox cleaning) and she could not have been better! Each visit was $25 all in and she keeps you updated with texts and photos and even videos. It was really nice to see my cats in action while I was missing them and see how well taken care of they were. Dami even cleaned and washed their food bowls without being asked! She was super personable and a huge animal lover and I'll definitely be using her for future cat sitting visits :)

He was covered in poop and urine, visibly stressed, and had clearly been left like that for hours. The staff did not even offer to clean him. They handed him to us exactly like that until I demanded they wash him. Another dog, my son Luis, was found standing in a huge puddle of urine, which tells me neither of them was properly walked or cared for that morning. That is basic care. This is not a small mistake. This is neglect. Zuko is a rescue. We have worked so hard to make him feel safe, secure, and confident. Seeing him so scared that he came home, pooped in the hallway, and hid broke my heart. He has never done that before. He looked ashamed and terrified, and it honestly made me fear that he may have been yelled at or mistreated. No animal should ever leave a facility in that emotional state. What makes this even worse is that no one called us. No one apologized. No one explained. No one even tried to make something up. Nothing. That silence speaks volumes. It felt like they didn't care at all about the animals or their clients--only about money. This is not just bad service. This is animal neglect. Possibly animal cruelty. I trusted this place with a life that depends on humans to protect him, and that trust was completely shattered. If you love your pets, please think very carefully before leaving them here.

We had a horrible experience with another vet in Queens that was much closer to us. Going to St. Mina's is a little out of the way, but we figured we would give it a try. And I'm glad we did. Since 2018 Dr. Benyamen has been taking care of both of our cats, Harry and Merlin. Harry ( also a rescue) was the older one and had a thyroid condition. Dr.Benyamen helped us through the medication process, offering an ear gel rather than a pill. Harry just wouldn't take pills. This was a lifesaver! We would have to bring our Harry in regularly over the years, as he grew older he had more issues. Dr. Benyamen always, always took the time to make sure that we understood all of our choices in Harry's health care. He never pushed us one way or the other, and let us know prices before any tests were given. He even called the day after one of our visits to see how we were all doing. The staff at St. Mina's is exceptional. All of them knowledgeable and compassionate, courteous and professional. Dr. Benyamen and his staff helped us to give Harry the best years of his adult life. Harry took a turn for the worse last week and we took him to Dr. Benyamen. Together we discussed the options. Our Harry's health was suddenly declining quickly and ultimately we had to give in to giving up our Harry, he was just too sick. The experience of letting our Harry go was very emotional. Dr. Benyamen and his assistant let us take our time as we said goodbye to Harry one last time. We were all in the room together as I looked into Harry's eyes and he took his last breath. Having the support of Dr. Benyamen and his assistant there was priceless. I'm writing this review today after we picked up Harry's ashes. Dr. Benyamen doesn't miss a beat. When he saw me waiting. He came over to ask how my husband and I and Merlin were doing. I guess I can say that going to St. Mina's is like going home. They always made us feel like family there.
