When we asked for an explanation we were told to go "F*** yourself" along with I will "F*** you up" while aggressively lunging towards my mom. Thankfully the daughter of the owner held back her mother. I am guessing afraid that that it would be an assault and wouldn't go to well for them. The police was involved but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Although they did suggest we take action in court. Which brings me to my conclusion. Zero Stars. Never come here! The owner is mean and disrespectful! I brought my dogs here twice and they cut their paws and belly. The first time I let it slide but this second time I decided to call and ask. The owner had the nerve to tell me that they don't make dogs bleed and it's "matted". I comb my dogs daily and there is no hair on the belly, how can the fur be matted?... Regardless, I just wanted the person to be more careful next time, I didn't ask for a refund or any discount. The owner insisted to yell and tell me they did nothing wrong and it was my fault. There was a simple solution, be more gentle. Horrible service and disgusting management. I brought my two dogs here last week for a grooming and all seemed well until I noticed the paws on both my dogs were cut open. And not just one paw... all the paws. Its very unnerving to have a groomer thats taking care of your pet that LACKS the the ability to do a SAFE and PROPER job. My dogs was whimpering while walking around the house after I brought them home and they were leaving spots of blood over the floor. I was very angry... This is just poor training and handling of animals here at this groomer. But what made this whole experience SO much more Unprofessional and Disgusting is how the management handled the situation. I called back to inform them that they had hurt my dogs and SIMPLY asked them to BE CAREFUL the next time they do it. BUT instead the manager/owner of the store was nasty and RUDE. He insisted that he did NOTHING wrong and said that my dogs were to blame for being cut. Are you kidding me? you are a "professional" groomer, you should be able to handle animals properly and carefully. ZERO STARS! UNPROFESSIONAL,, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - DISGRACEFUL and UNKIND TO DOGS Nightmare Experience!! Against my better judgement, we tried this place. My husband just picked up our medium- sized labradoodle. Our dog is very docile and beautiful dog who is also a professionally trained service dog. She was mistreated, horribly groomed and shaking and crying when picked up. The three women working there were smoking inside of the facility, near the dogs. The place is outdated and not very well kept. We went there on a recommendation, as our groomer is away. We were quoted $85 by the daughter Jenny. When my husband went to pick up our dog he was told by the owner Vlada $140, and they would not release my dog without the full amount. What??? Are we ok with holding animals for ransom now? What kind of puppy bait and switch scheme are they running in there? We were at their mercy, they were threatening to keep our dog, or call the police, so we had to pay. It was so awful my dog was crying to be released. The floor was filthy, the area where animals are kept is dirty and smells of mold and oddly alcohol. Please rest assured I will be contacting the Board of Health to investigate the myriad of violations clearly visible to the entering naked eye. I will also be digging deep into this business to see what exactly goes on there beneath the service. Where should I start? The cigarettes, ashes on floor, exposed food, dirt and what looked like blood on the floor near the grooming table need to be investigated. All groomers' Licenses are not clearly posted, and you can tell these are just not "dog people" - no gentle caring demeanors, my dog looked so upset. If you hate animals, but love wasting money - then this place is for you. If you care about your animals, the way we do, because you know they are as much a part of your family as your children are, avoid this place at all costs. I brought my puppy to Vlada's Grooming I dropped him off when I came to pick him up he was very quiet usually he's very hyper I didn't think anything of it thought he might just be tired. When I brought him home he just laid in the floor didn't want to play or anything so I turned him on his back and started petting him then I noticed a cut on his stomach one on his leg another by his eye and his private areas are filled with cuts. Right away I made an appointment to the vet she gave me a spray and antibiotics & when I went back the lady who groomed him had nothing but attitude blaming saying my dog is just sensitive and they are not even being considerate and cover the vet bill! read more

BEWARE !! STAY AWAY. After bringing my dog here for grooming yesterday, they returned her with a Big chunk of her skin missing from under her front arm. They told us that it's a minor cut and it will heal by itself but it is pretty severe . I am currently at the vet and will be taking further actions soon. They told us that they will not cover any medical fees and will not issue a grooming refund. just warning everyone, DO NOT COME HERE. It was my mistake for not searching this place up online before hand but what's done is done. My dog is in severe pain and has been shivering and shaking all night long . DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my dog here JULY 2020 and it was the WORST experience. Please do not risk hurting your pet! If you love your pet, it is not worth it! You will see in the pictures, these people CUT off my dog's ENTIRE toe and give him to me with a bleeding toe. The nail, skin, fur, claw was completely cut off. He was in so much pain and crying. Unfortunately, I have to change my rating. After leaving my cat here last August for one week, we came to pick him up to find he was sick, sneezing, depressed, and had gained weight. It turns out that instead of leaving him in a large cage in the front, they had kept him at the very back of the shop in a small cage in an isolated area, where he was mostly ignored. I guess that made sense why he got sick - being neglected and likely kept in cold conditions makes it easy for a cat to get sick. His sudden weight gain was a BIG sign that no one had played with him. After we brought him back home, he spent about a week sneezing, eyes and nose tearing, and spending most the day sleeping and lethargic. We were worried and took him to the vet to make sure he was okay, and they suspected he had contracted a cold during his stay at this boarding center. In the past, we were comfortable leaving our cat at Vlada's Grooming because we thought that he would be well taken care of. Unfortunately, something has changed with this business and we would never trust them with our cat again. Warning - do NOT leave your pets for boarding here!!! read more

What was once a great salon became a nightmare! I've been using them for years but the management went down the hill. My dog was left In a cage for almost 4 hours and when I came to get her not only she wasn't groomed she was dehydrated. The phones weren't answered and obviously I wasn't notified. You can't see the grooming section from the waiting area I heard a dog literally crying and barking loud like cries of help I got up to check and the woman by the fest said you can't go back there I asked how much longer 15 minutes later my poor dog came out petrified trembling bleeding from her paws!!!! This is the worst place.I would not give any stars but had to give something. I went the first time to get my dogs nails cut and was able to hold her while the girl cut her nails. It wasn't that clean. Today, I tried again figuring to just give it another chance but it was even worse. I have been bringing my dog to this groomers for years and was usually did not notice anything bad other than their pricing going up. At this point my 30 pound dog cost 90 dollars, not sure if that's normal. Anyways today I asked my father to pick up my dog from the groomers since I wasn't able to. Previously I paid 80 so I told him it would be around that (already expensive). When he went to pick her up they said it was 90 dollars. He simply ASKED why it was so expensive. The woman working there, I'm assuming the owner, instead of being professional and explaining why prices went up she basically kicked him out. YELLING hateful things to him, cursing at him, threatened to assault him with a chair. An absolutely inappropriate response to a simple question. They are lucky he even paid them after the way they were acting. Disgusting and pathetic. Will never be going again and I suggest everyone else goes somewhere else too. There place is dirty and honestly I've always been 50% sure they don't actually wash the dogs. F that business for the way they treat their customers. Although this place is inexpensive and convenient for me, the place is extremely unprofessional and unsanitary. I picked my dog up and she had a popped blood vessel in her right eye and seemed very upset after being groomed. I took her to the vet and they told me that a few of Vlada's customers had come in to see them after being groomed and that it is not known for being sanitary or any good and that my dog probably popped a blood vessel when they were holding her down by the neck while grooming her. This place is one of the best grooming places in Brooklyn! Prices are great($40 for my shitzu!) They give you exactly what you ask for. Only bad thing is that they only take cash which sucks but most grooming places do the same. Small store but they are always packed especially on weekends! read more

I have to join to numerous complaints of the pets' owners and report an animal cruelty. I left my cat for grooming, when I picked him up and went home, I didn't notice anything. After 2 days, I found little drops of blood on my floor. I inspected my cat, and found a big scratch on his inner leg, but what's worse, I found his both paws were bleeding! I looked closer, into his claws (or, it's more appropriate to say, what was left of them), and was in shock. They were covered in blood, and the middle claw on EACH paw was missing! There were just holes filled with blood where there used to be claws!!! It was late at night, so I couldn't call the shop and complain, I read the reviews on the internet and learnt that so many people had similar problems! I took him to a vet the next day, and the doctor said that those two claws were pulled out cruelty, and it looks like they were tearing my cat forcefully from something he was holding on to. The other claws were cut down close to flesh, and had dry blood covering them. When I try to imagine the whole situation, it brings me to tears, as I can see how they beat him, twisted his paws, hurt him.... That is just absolutely unacceptable! So many people complained and this shop is still in business! I urge you not to bring your pet to them, ever, and for those who suffered already, I urge you to report this to Animal Abuse. I just reported them to NYC 311 Animal Abuse, and the more reports we have for them, the more possibility that they will be finally shut down. read more
