We've seen this place a hundred times when they're closed between 3-5pm. Finally making it in for a visit before 3pm we were warmly welcomed. Clean interior with tables or booth seating. The main dining room is open seating. On the left side is their banquet room for special events and private parties. A nice space to hold an intimate gathering. We dug right into their lunch buffet priced at $16.95. They also have a lunch special for $12.95. Buffet had veggie egg rolls and fritters, fish, tandoori chicken, tikka masala chicken or veggie, lentils, potato, rice, chic pea salad, mustard greens, salad station with lettuce, tomato and red onions, with mint and tamarind sauces, oranges and rice pudding. A nice spread of traditional dishes and sides. Fresh garlic nan was brought out in a basket for the table. Not sure if this is refillable we were too full to ask for another. Flavors were tasty and service was great. Overall a cute little spot among the surrounding shops. Parking is plentiful but area can be a little sketchy.

I went here for the Indian buffet on a weekday after getting excused from Jury Duty. Whew! Pleasantly surprised the moment I walked in the door. This restaurant reminded me of Indian restaurants in the Chunking Mansions of Hong Kong! Why? The aromas, the music, the decor and the small but cozy size. Ended up enjoying the food more than I expected to. Unlike a couple of other Indian buffets I've been to recently, these folks seem to make everything fresh or relatively fresh. The variety of foods is also better than most, and I've been to countless Indian buffets. Looking forward to coming back when that craving hits!

This place is SO GOOD. We tried curry & kebab and biryani heaven before this and this place is far far above that. The food is so fresh and it tastes so much more authentic. Their raita is thick unlike some of the places I've been to before. Same for the mango lassi it tastes soooo fresh and the color proves it.

Plain Partha. Dry and hard not flakey

2nd Indian food spot in Riverside I tried this month, and it also received 2nd place in my heart. Located off University and Chicago it is definitely not in the nicest area of town - I for sure would not be loitering in the area after dark. When my group walked in at lunchtime it was is that had to initiate contact with the workers there instead of being greeted guests. We were told to pick a seat in the main dining room (there appeared to be a secondary one for when they are crowded or have large groups?). They had a lunch buffet set out with two hot food areas and I guess it was assumed we would want that until I asked for a menu. Water was supplied to us promptly thankfully but other than its initial placement we had to keep trying to find someone to give us a refill. The whole time we were there only one other customer came in and it more so seemed that other employees filtered out from the kitchen area to have their lunches. Ultimately my friends picked the buffet selections and seemed okay with the choices - which were more than the 1st Indian food place we checked out - I think Punjab had roughly 10-12 options. I ordered an eggplant dish since I was not hungry enough for a buffet but it was so blended that I could not enjoy the eggplant flavor. Their partha was better than the other place we went too but also fell flat to what I am familiar with. Overall this place was more pricey, less hospitable, and the food was just not the quality we were looking for.

These sprinkles were actually mints like a palate cleanser. Tasted like black licorice!

Spacious and bright LED-lit interior was what struck me right away. My group visited during lunch hour to eat the special for $12.95 (plus tax and tip). We considered the buffet, however the special was plenty! Water is at your table in a carafe. The staff was helpful and ran down what the lunch special included today. They let us know that it does change. It was very large and colorful served on a platter- chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, paneer, rice, and garlic naan. They asked if we needed more naan periodically and refilled our water. Everything was so hot and fresh, and really rich tasting. They were also mindful of our heat tolerance level and sent us plates with mild spice. We opted out of dessert. A pleasant and delicious experience all around!

Food is amazing here! Service is also the best! I used to go to UCR and anytime I wanted Indian food I'd come here. Ambiance is like Indian restaurant, Bollywood music playing and a nice vibe. Their shahi paneer and malai kofta is my go to order. The owner is very sweet and has give us sweets on the house many times. Now that I moved back home from college, I will definitely miss this place!!

Enjoying our lunch.

This is the best Indian food I've ever had. Sooooo tasty and fresh. The service was amazing. Very friendly servers and the owners oversaw everything to make sure we will be happy.

Food is mediocre and the service is horrible. The good thing is the price. $18 after taxes

The crab legs alone would've been worth the price, but it didn't stop at crab legs. They had a pretty abundant selection with some really good eats. I enjoyed the sushi and sashimi. I enjoyed the salt and pepper shrimp, scallops, muscles & other seafood options. It was just a really nice buffet. I definitely recommend. We had roughly 30 guests, and the restaurant comfortably accommodated our group in one section of the dining room with a combination of long tables and booths, which made it easy for everyone to sit together and enjoy the celebration. Every once in a while they played a birthday tune over the speakers, which was definitely an interesting and fun touch that added to the festive vibe of the evening. The buffet itself has a huge selection, and everyone seemed especially excited about the fresh seafood options. My niece even tried snail for the first time, which impressed me! There's also a large variety of sushi, which many of our guests enjoyed. Some of my personal favorites were the black pepper chicken, green beans, and sautéed mushrooms. Everything else looked delicious too, but I was already full. Next time I'll definitely come prepared with a bigger appetite to really take advantage of the AYCE experience. One thing I wish they offered was more beverage choices. The options were limited to soda fountain drinks, green tea, and unfiltered water, which wasn't the best selection to pair with such a wide variety of foods. There were also plenty of fried comfort foods like pizza and fries, which made it a great place for both adults and kids since there's truly something for everyone. The staff was friendly and attentive, and overall it was a great place to gather with family and celebrate a special milestone.

Because you get the 50/50 chance risk with the low price of like $15 - 20 (I dont know, my friend paid for us all) I suspect it was plenty of the fried and cooked foods that are responsible for some of the reviewers' ache. The orange chicken, hibachi chicken, lo mein, -- the usual. Dont count on the vegetables like broccoli to be safe either, they wont do anything for your gut either. I wonder what's the quality of their cooking oil, since my friends said it might be the root cause of it all. We never encountered me sick at any place except this The sushi bar was alright. Nothing spectacular and delectible. You get the low quality of sushi for the price, after all. Im not sure if it contributed to the sick feeling but beware! For the garlic bread, fries, chicken nuggets, and just about other 'instant' looking food -- theyre probably instant and quickly cooked for service, really. That garlic bread had a spongey texture. Again, thats what I get for coming to a low budget place

Lots of big tables for your big group of friends. It wasn't noisy either. Some of the best food and desserts Riverside has to offer, especially for a Sunday brunch. I'm sorry I over looked ADC for so long. They abolished all my cravings in one visit for a very appreciated price. Definitely go with a appetite! The flan tastes like aunties, the tri tip was this side of prime rib. They have a wonderful selection of food even an omelet bar! I just wasn't hungry enough to celebrate all the goodness I saw. I guess I just need to go back often because it's not just a great price, it really is amazing food. Check out the hot fresh cinnamon pecan rolls, too. Most everything is made in their kitchen. Shout out to Cori the Manger that addressed my special situation with a smile and attention. Looking for new brunch options? How about having an AYCE Sunday Brunch at the Cal Baptist…read moreUniversity Commons? Yes, it is open to the public, and the array of food is mind boggling, and just as good as any other good breakfast spot. It is located in the Commons which is located in the center of campus. It is easily found from the front entrance on Magnolia Street. Huge numbers of parking spaces are nearby. There is a large, lush, grassy, tree-lined area open for school events in the center, spaces for young children to run and play, and bathroom facilities aplenty. It has been a fairly well-kept secret until some TikTok'ers, You Tubers, and Instagrammers recently let the secret out that they are open to the public. Curious, we came around noon a few Sundays ago and the line out the door was overwhelming. Mind you, the line was made up of mostly non-students. For any late-rising students (those that live on campus), they got priority entrance because their meals are pre-paid, and many have nowhere else to eat, unless they have a car. It's only fair. So we left that day without eating and saved it for another Sunday when we could arrive earlier. They open at 9:30 am. Close around 2. Almost classy for a campus cafeteria, it is the main and largest of the several cafes and restaurant locations on campus. It has a sleek, modern look, is well maintained, and offers a broad selection of foods that is appealing and upscale. I had my eye on the carving center (tri tip available on this day) and custom omelet stations (there are two, one at each end), but there are so many more entrees and side dishes to choose from, including beverages and desserts. Grab a tray, take your time, and browse the many stations first before you start loading up. There is plenty for all. But if you walk away hungry, it's no ones fault but yours. This is also a place where students can get a respectable, part-time job on campus while "edjumacating" themselves. Better yet, it must be comforting as a parent knowing there is well prepared, healthy food available for feeding your son with a hollow leg. It is not the despicable, monotonous dorm food I had the misfortune to experience many decades ago (obviously not here). While very popular with students and public alike, there is a tremendous amount of seating for all, indoors and out. There are highchair and booster seats for the little ones. Very family friendly. Our bill for 2 seniors, 3 adults, and 2 children came to around $130, quite affordable when Grandma and Grandpa are treating. And everyone left satisfied.
