Tikka masala and butter chicken with basmati rice
Tania Z.

Inside was spacious and low lit. Staff barely spoke English so we had difficulty ordering. I asked for cilantro chutney and he said they didn't have it. I said 'green sauce' and he said ok. Our party ordered 4 medium combos, 2 butter chicken and 2 tikka masala. Each combo came with naan and basmati. We also ordered 3 drinks. For some reason all but 2 drinks and the sauce came out (after about 20 minutes). We asked about the remainder of our order several times and were told just a minute. We saw patrons come after us and leave before us so my sister (upset at this point) told him we were almost done with the food and were expecting 2 more drinks and the sauce (to dip the naan). He finally gave us the rest of our order. Naan and rice were underseasoned while the curry was aggressively seasoned. Overall flavors were good.

Portions were on the smaller side, but you also get naan bread and rice. It's actually a lot more filling than I thought. The paneer tikka masala was spicy but bland and needed more seasoning or salt. I do like their pizza from pizza twist. And I would like to try their plentiful desserts next time. But I have been spoiled with amazing curry elsewhere and this was a bit of a miss. The side of raw onions was a bit off putting.

New spot that opened up with a fun Italy meets India twist! Omg. The crust was so fluffy on the cheese pizza, my kids devoured it. The butter chicken pizza was sooooo flavorful! The staff was so attentive and eager to answer all of my questions. There are so many menu options that I DEFINITELY am coming back to AT LEAST TRY THE LAMB BURGER!!!!! Ahhh! They were setting u their cute Christmas tree today so it's cute and festive!

We tried out this new Indian place opened locally. Great service and great food. Very clean as well. This is Indian style pizzeria as well as Indian fast food. We tried two curries, rice and naan combo. For fast food eatery, quality of food is excellent. They are open daily from 10 to 10. For quick Indian bites in Woodcrest area, this is the place to go. We have to try the pizza next time.

We went for a slice and tried their butter chicken, samosas, and garlic naan. Everything was so flavorful. Our kids loved it. The staff was so hospitable and accommodating. This place checked every box.

Food is average. I will not return to this place. The garlic naan was dry and burnt. We ordered the lamb, the chicken, and the combo. It was not bad, but it was not good enough for us to go back.

Came here to try their pizza, lamb biryani, mango lassi, and garlic naan. The lamb biryani and naan was so good I forgot to take a picture of it before finishing it lol I've been to many Indian spots and tried their pizza, this one takes the cake by far not only just for their pizza, but the biryani, naan, and homemade mango lassi. This is now my go to spot for Indian Cuisine, the staff is very nice and conservative and I love the wall art

This is top notch. Mind you this is northern Indian and not to be compared with southern I found it since it was close to the military base and I so glad I tried it. To start the home made lentil soup was hearty and lentils had excellent texture so you can tell it fresh and yet it was complimentary. I had the bone in goat briyani which was succulent, huge portions and paired with their Raita it was perfectly balanced . Compared to the classic Hyderabadi style this has less spices and overall ingredients but it's more savory which is common with most northern style Indian food. Just a gem of place

We found this place online and decided to fuel our bellies here. Upon entering there are seats on both sides of the restaurant with the serving area and cashier in the middle. We decided to dine-in and they helped us with ordering. I ordered the Dinner Special Thali ($15.99) which comes with 2 entrees, daal, rice, naan, mango lassi, samosa or kheer. I was allowed to choose 3 entrees of my choice from the select options they had in their serving area (not from all the entrees they have on their menu). I like options and variety, so from their limited entrees I chose mushroom saag (spinach based), chicken tikka, and their paneer tikka. I'm glad I got to taste different options but I like the chicken the best. I also chose the kheer and got the mango lassi as my drink. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken ($14.99), basmati rice ($3.99), and the cheese naan which we asked if they can add garlic and they kindly did ($4.99). Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. On the tv's they were playing Indian music and their music videos, which were entertaining to watch. ---- Overall: the price point and tasty food are reasons we'd be stopping by if we're ever in the area again or driving back to SD, definitely check this place out if you want some yummy Indian food in Riverside at a reasonable price!

My husband ordered chicken korma to be made which was different from what we are used to...looks like they didn't use yogurt because it didn't taste creamy so that's why we're giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The biryani rice was decent not the greatest but good probably not enough ingredients like nuts and raisins etc. The garlic naan was ok. This was delightful and the right amount of spice for us. Delicious Tandoori chicken - it's my personal fave. It's got a nice grilled crispy layer on the outside and nice and juicy inside. The garlic naan was thin and crispy. Sooooo good Pakoras- wow. It was so good. I'll def be back and I have these to blame. Service was great. It has a very beautiful, artistic interior and clean look that makes a wonderful impression. The walls are painted in vibrant colors and designs. Even the bathroom is upgraded and gorgeous. They made a conscious effort to make their establishment very inviting. 5 stars for its upgrades in such a otherwise downy strip mall. We have tried several relatively new Indian restaurants in the past few months. The food, even when requested to be mild, had a bit more sting to it than I had hoped. That makes an impression that leads me to rate this as better than some, but not my favorite. First was an appetizer, a huge portion of Samosa Chaat. I was disappointed that the samosas were not particularly crisp after being smothered in the rich spicy gravy, chickpeas, and tamarind and mint sauces. It is a very pretty appetizer and very filling, but the overall spicy heat made it borderline inedible for me. Our second dish, the Butter Chicken, was very nice. There was plenty of dark meat chicken, tender and juicy, in the traditional, orange, creamy sauce. It was not only delicious with its exotic spice blend, it helped cool down the insides of my mouth while I was struggling with our other two dishes. Our final selection was the Aloo Gobi, basically, potato and cauliflower and a boatload of mixed spices. Sadly, this was too hot-spicy for wimpy me to enjoy. Again, we had requested each dish be prepared as "mild". I'm pretty sure they could have toned it down more than they did. Overall, a solid 4 stars is what I feel is fair. The prices were good, the servings were respectable, we had no complaints about the service, and the decor was very pretty. For those, unlike me, who can better handle the heat, it might have ranked higher.

We…read morereally enjoyed some of the dishes we ordered, while a few others were just okay or a bit lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area.

Tandoori and Naan are cooked in a CLAY TANDOOR OVEN at this location…read more Most entries are served with a complimentary bowl of Basmati rice that is fragrant with spices (cloves can be found). The food feels like a home cook meal and I was told from Northern India province. This was definitely not an Americanized India fusion nor anything served in any India California buffets and definitely a level above it. ========= Tandoori are served on Sizzling Platters and placed on top of sauté vegetables (onion, bell peppers with spices) that are pre-marinated for hours. A lemon wedge is provided to squeeze additional citrus flavoring to the meats. The spices in the tandoori meats were well embedded that I could smell/taste the spices hours after eating as well as the next day upon reheating leftovers. 21. LAMB CHOPS (RACK OF LAMB / 5 PCS) Pre-marinated lamb with each leg cut and blacken char in the clay oven. It was cooked to well so a bit dry/over done for me. However, I was told the meats can be cooked to any wellness a customer prefer. If you want medium make sure to specify upon ordering. It came with a paste made from fresh mint/cilantro to help with gamey taste associated with lamb. 16. CHICKEN TANDOORI Bone in chicken thigh/drumsticks pre-marinated with spices. Additional hot spice paste can be requested, but I ask to put on the side. It was cooked well done, so could be juicer if cooked less. A side of marsala could also help with the dryness of the meat. ========= Boneless cubed meat are slow braised in India spice sauces: 61. LAMB ROGAN JOSH ** Delicious in flavoring ** Braised cube boneless lamb in a stewed tomato sauce filled with India aromatic spices (onion, garlic, India spices: black cardamom, cumin, cloves, etc). It's similar to saltness of a rustic tomato cacciatore sauce but w/ India spices. 60. LAMB KORMA Wanting to compare it to Al-Noor (Pakistan) in Inglewood is Spicy, Salty, Tangy, the taste was a total opposite to a Sweet Floral Nutty and Creamy (Himalayan is India). In the usa, most restaurants are called India to make it simple for non-India customers. The flavor is different because these are two different cultures/regions but use the same name Lamb Korma. Although I could taste the cashews, it was more bland in comparison to the Rogan Josh and other Korma I've tried elsewhere. I did not add additional hot spice. All the sauces come in the same dish and fits in a 24oz plastic container including the rice. Meats are cubed and seem to be about 4 oz of meat on my 1st visit. ============ Garlic Naan is at ala carte prices and not complimentary. It had garlic with cilantro flakes. It was OK but not as buttery as Al Noor. However, this restaurant's Basmati rice had more flavor than the Naan to go well with their dishes/tandoori. Restaurant is small café style, it's can hold a party of 6 per table. Bottle wine or glass is available to purchase besides beer and soda. It does get busy after 5pm and parking does get tight since it shares it with other eating establishment. For quieter setting, go before the dinner crowd. Staff is friendly and nice. During my visit, many of patrons (are not India) and happy/eager to experience a place with exposure to dishes that provided different blend of spices. Service/experience and attentiveness was much better the 2nd time around that I look forward to trying a new dish on my next visit.
