He didn't know how delicious Indian food is until he met me. Now he's picking Indian restaurants for dates. This place delivered on all fronts. Plenty of parking. Gorgeous ambiance. Delicious food. Attentive service. Affordable pricing. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, garlic naan, cheese naan, and vegetable samosas. The meals came with rice too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I asked for white meat specifically for the korma and I got dark meat. I ate some but it wasn't the same :/ Still a great restaurant and I highly recommend it for a date.

This is top notch. Mind you this is northern Indian and not to be compared with southern I found it since it was close to the military base and I so glad I tried it. To start the home made lentil soup was hearty and lentils had excellent texture so you can tell it fresh and yet it was complimentary. I had the bone in goat briyani which was succulent, huge portions and paired with their Raita it was perfectly balanced . Compared to the classic Hyderabadi style this has less spices and overall ingredients but it's more savory which is common with most northern style Indian food. Just a gem of place

I received the kindest welcome and delightful service and help from Nisha, who explained the dishes to me and recommended The Combo for my first visit. Such a great suggestion since I had never dined at an Indian Cuisine restaurant before. Each one of the servings in the combo was incredibly flavorful, delicious and very filling. I loved each and every one of them! I even had leftovers to bring home, which I am already looking forward to enjoying. The garlic naan bread is out of this world! Their Mango Lassi is indescribably delicious and Nisha informed me that the yogurt they use is made fresh in the restaurant. It tasted so clean and amazing. Definitely going to be hooked on that!!! The atmosphere was so nice and peaceful after a long busy and stressful week. Exactly what I needed. No loud music or noise that people had to talk over. Very, very nice and relaxing. Thank you for the atmosphere as well. Nisha also blessed me with a rice pudding to try and I can hardly wait to make it my evening snack. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome on my first visit. Overview: Great deal, food, and service, perfect for a quick dine-in meal or ordering to-go…read more ---- We were driving back to San Diego from Mammoth and was craving Indian Food. We found this place online and decided to fuel our bellies here. Upon entering there are seats on both sides of the restaurant with the serving area and cashier in the middle. We decided to dine-in and they helped us with ordering. I ordered the Dinner Special Thali ($15.99) which comes with 2 entrees, daal, rice, naan, mango lassi, samosa or kheer. I was allowed to choose 3 entrees of my choice from the select options they had in their serving area (not from all the entrees they have on their menu). I like options and variety, so from their limited entrees I chose mushroom saag (spinach based), chicken tikka, and their paneer tikka. I'm glad I got to taste different options but I like the chicken the best. I also chose the kheer and got the mango lassi as my drink. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken ($14.99), basmati rice ($3.99), and the cheese naan which we asked if they can add garlic and they kindly did ($4.99). Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. On the tv's they were playing Indian music and their music videos, which were entertaining to watch. ---- Overall: the price point and tasty food are reasons we'd be stopping by if we're ever in the area again or driving back to SD, definitely check this place out if you want some yummy Indian food in Riverside at a reasonable price!

This is a small Mom and Pop Indian café located in the La Sierra neighborhood of Western Riverside,…read morenear La Sierra University. It has a very beautiful, artistic interior and clean look that makes a wonderful impression. The walls are painted in vibrant colors and designs. Even the bathroom is upgraded and gorgeous. They made a conscious effort to make their establishment very inviting. 5 stars for its upgrades in such a otherwise downy strip mall. We have tried several relatively new Indian restaurants in the past few months. The food, even when requested to be mild, had a bit more sting to it than I had hoped. That makes an impression that leads me to rate this as better than some, but not my favorite. First was an appetizer, a huge portion of Samosa Chaat. I was disappointed that the samosas were not particularly crisp after being smothered in the rich spicy gravy, chickpeas, and tamarind and mint sauces. It is a very pretty appetizer and very filling, but the overall spicy heat made it borderline inedible for me. Our second dish, the Butter Chicken, was very nice. There was plenty of dark meat chicken, tender and juicy, in the traditional, orange, creamy sauce. It was not only delicious with its exotic spice blend, it helped cool down the insides of my mouth while I was struggling with our other two dishes. Our final selection was the Aloo Gobi, basically, potato and cauliflower and a boatload of mixed spices. Sadly, this was too hot-spicy for wimpy me to enjoy. Again, we had requested each dish be prepared as "mild". I'm pretty sure they could have toned it down more than they did. Overall, a solid 4 stars is what I feel is fair. The prices were good, the servings were respectable, we had no complaints about the service, and the decor was very pretty. For those, unlike me, who can better handle the heat, it might have ranked higher.

Counter host was busy with counter order, so chef came out to take my order. Opted for chicken tikka medium/hot, chapati, and saag. First time I've seen the heat scale offered as mild = jalapeño and hot = habanero. I like hot, but sometimes the definition of hot might be nuclear plasma, while medium is only fresh lava. Asked for medium hot. Stand-by!!! My only complaint was my soda was flat and tasted a little chlorine-ish. Water reminded me of hose water from 1978. Not a good memory, then and now. Owner noticed I was not drinking, asked why, and I told her. She brought me out a bottle of sparkling water at no charge!!

Kailash Parbat was recommended to us by family, and we recently dined here with my in-laws. We…read morereally enjoyed some of the dishes we ordered, while a few others were just okay or a bit lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area.

We ordered way too much food because we were having trouble deciding - we ordered the chicken tikka tandoori kabob (which was very tender and juicy and flavorful,) the lamb saag (the curry was so green and made with spinach, broccoli, and collard greens and had so much flavor), the goat house curry (which had amazing flavor!), the garlic naan (which was perfectly cooked), a mango lassi (because of course,) and then cocktails too. Everything tasted delicious. The menu is pretty expansive, so I'm going to have to go back because I still want to try the samosas, the pakora, the korma . . . probably other stuff too. I highly suggest this!
