    Mutton dum biryani

Mutton dum biryani was excellent. Portions are very generous too. I think I could eat one order three times. They included the bones so every now and then you get a piece with some marrow, so good! Spices are very fun. Without the yogurt sauce I would've died but that's cause I'm a wussy. Front of house staff was very polite and helpful. Can't wait to come back and try another variation of spices. Maybe just going to order mild instead of medium

Samosas $4.99. Sauce was good just not enough of it, outside is very good and crunchy yet soft but inside lacking flavor.

I went here on a whim because I left the smoke shop next door. I ordered samosas ($4.99) and boneless chicken biryani (14.99). The portion was good can feed two people easily. Took about 20 minutes to get my order. The samosas were cooked nicely but both orders were lacking some kind of spice I can't put my finger on it. Just different from all the other Indian places I've tried. The rice itself didn't have any flavor and had to be paired with the chicken. Same the samosas like no flavor inside which is disappointing because the outside was cooked perfectly. The sauce they gave me, was decent but like why so little sauce? It was only enough for one samosa. I came in on a weekday around 6 pm there was nobody there. The woman who took my order couldn't figure out how to use the machine and I had to repeat my order one by one and slowly and then repeat again. Then after asking her child for help on the machine she coughed in my face without covering her mouth or turning away. After that she asked me if I was paying with card or cash and I said card, which I should have been more clear and said Apple Pay because the Apple Pay machine was just sitting right there. I did the Apple Pay not once but twice, the screen said "authorization required" and I'm puzzled because I use my Apple Pay every single day and just used it at the smoke shop next door. So inevitably it is their machine that has a problem. I pulled out my traditional debit card, only a slight inconvenience. Anyways, I'm giving it two stars because the lady and her children were nice, but after eating the food I didn't exactly feel like I was in "Biryani Heaven."

I was really excited to give this place a chance. It's sad that I had to drive almost an hour only to find it closed. Their website, Yelp and Google all say that they are open. Not a good way to attract new customers or even hold onto existing ones if this is their mode of operation.

I've had halal kabobs from restaurants all over SoCal and the country and this place is still my favorite. It's a great option for catering (I always get the family platter pictured) and this was my go to place when we lived nearby - the flavors are tasty but not too overpowering so it works for all guests no matter their spice preference. We still drive up to 30 mins to cater from here because the food is always so good and a reliable hit with any guests that we have over. FOOD: The meat is not just flavorful but most importantly, it's somehow always just so moist, so juicy, and so tender all the way through. And it's not just the meats - every item they serve is just really unexpectedly delicious. At most kabob places, the rice/pita/salad/hummus are just weak add ons to fill up the plate, but these items are always so delicious at Kabob House and you can always taste the flavor bursting in every item (my fav is the salad which has a lemon/vinegary kick to it that just elevates the meal). All the items on the menu are great, but my personal favorite is the salmon kabob (if you've never had a salmon kabob, do yourself a favor and try it out and at least add one skewer of it if you get a combo) - the owner recommended this to me years ago, and I've always added at least a couple skewers every time since - all my guests rave about it. SERVICE/AMBIANCE It's a small casual family owned restaurant and the service is always super friendly. You can see the food being made fresh behind the counter which shows their confidence - it's clear they take immense pride in the quality of all their items and are eager to share their food and Palestinian heritage. The price is also exceptional value for the quantity of food you get, especially compared to other similar restaurants. OVERALL: I will continue to eat from here and would highly recommend trying it out.

Reviews were good, local hole in the wall, let's find out... Service is counter, friendly and nice. As befits the current economy, prices are a bit higher for a local lunch. Food was excellent, enjoyed my Kafta very much although I would have preferred a grilled tomato and peppers like other places have. Bread was good, rice was good. Soda refillable :-) I will definitely try again when in the city. Recommended!!

I placed an order online for pickup and was given a pickup time. The place is very open, spacious and just has a neat vibe to it. I walked right up to the counter to give them my name for pick up and they said they were finishing it up. There were other people waiting for their orders as well. A couple minutes later, the gentleman behind the counter called out "Daniel" and the guy waiting next to me jumped right in and grabbed the bag and took off. I had wondered "I hope they didn't pronounce my name wrong and that was MY order." But didn't think much of it. Then the gentleman behind the counter asked me the name for my order. When I said "Danielle" he said "oh that was yours, the guy just left." He kind of looked at me like it was my problem to fix, so I took off after the guy and the employee followed me. Thankfully, the guy didn't get very far because he was verifying the order, so we made the exchange. Whew! I ordered the charbroiled chicken shish kabob with extra grilled veggies and a side Mediterranean salad as well as the hummus trio with sliced cucumbers instead of pita bread. The chicken kabob meal was delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the option to add on more veggies was much appreciated! I was really excited about the hummus trio, but sadly I found it to be lacking flavor. With the 3 options of regular hummus, spicy red bell pepper and edamame, I was definitely expecting a flavor explosion, but it fell flat for me. I'd definitely come back to try more of their main dishes. Seems like a great little spot to dine in.

$50 for less than a pound of meat? What.A.Rip.Off. We will not be returning. We've been customers…read moreof PKG for a number of years, and it was great (while it lasted). It started going downhill when they got rid of the PKG Rewards. We stopped going soon after that. For some reason, we decided to give a chance one more time a couple of days ago. Big mistake. We ordered to-go, and got the "Family Kabob Combo", 2 skewers. Since we're not big fans of their chicken, we subbed one of the chicken skewers for two Koobideh (with an upcharge of $6) and one Salmon skewer (with another upcharge of $5). The total was $45.97 + Tax ($3.56), grand total of $49.53. This would have been OK, if they gave you a reasonable amount of food for what you pay. Instead, we got a large container of rice, and two small containers of meat and vegetables. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photos, what you get meat-wise is basically extremely skimpy. The two Koobideh skewers weighed a total of 10 OZ. That's TWO of them together (see photo), not one, they weighed only 5 OZ each - barely more than a quarter pound hamburger. The Salmon "skewer" had a total of 5 pieces of salmon, each weighing only 0.8 OZ each, a total of 4 OZ! So what we got for the princely sum of $50 was 14 OZ of meat total - less than a pound, and a whole lot of rice, which costs them next to nothing. If you look at a lot of the older photos of the Koobideh skewers here on Yelp, you can see how much they have shrunk in just a few short years. My guesstimate is they're 50% smaller than they used to be, I know for sure since I bought them in the past that they used to be much larger. The price has increased 35% since we last ate here a couple of years ago, and you get 50% less food for that money, losing on both ends of the transaction. We feel cheated, to say the least. It's too bad, since we do like the taste of the food itself, it hasn't changed - what has changed is the value for what you pay. It isn't worth what they're charging for such a little bit of food (many other restaurants have gone the same way, sad to say). We won't be eating there ever again after this experience, it's impossible to enjoy a meal when you know you're being ripped off.
