So apparently they did a renovation a few months ago. The place does look more open and nicer but that's not saying much as the previous layout was very bad. But, just because you did a renovation means you can increase the prices? We got two "2-item" combos with one can of soda and one water and the price was $35. Skimpy on the portions, watery channa and the spicy tikka is not as spicy anymore and also watered down. The naan used to be made fresh with your order but now it is pre-made and it tasted very doughy and rubbery. Btw, their menu board is still up with the old prices(which were high as well for what this is and what you get). I asked him about the price discrepancy and he told me "oh yeah "they" raised prices" not taking ownership whatsoever. Also I asked him if the ownership has changed as they looked Bengali and he said it didn't BUT a bunch of other reviews say the ownership did change. So why lie? Last thing, you dine in but there is no trash bin, I asked and they told me the trash bin is outside. So you eat in then walk your trash outside as you are leaving to throw away. Wtf? Seems like they want to make the most money with the least effort. No thanks! Lots of places to eat in the same shopping center. Will not be visiting again. read more

This place was surprisingly pretty good. I got the 3 entree combo that came with basmati rice, garlic naan, and I picked vegetable korma which was ok and creamy but a little bland, also chose tandoori chicken which was really good and last entree I got chicken tikka masala and it's good but a little on the sweet side. $13 something for my combo plate. This is buffet style and I chose those items. My husband ordered chicken korma to be made which was different from what we are used to...looks like they didn't use yogurt because it didn't taste creamy so that's why we're giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The biryani rice was decent not the greatest but good probably not enough ingredients like nuts and raisins etc. The garlic naan was ok. My husband really likes the samosas and it's like $2 something a piece. People were nice and service was great when we asked for more sauce (tikka masala). Not much of an ambiance. read more

I love Indian food and was shocked to realize this little place was so close to home, tucked away in the far end of the Ralph's shopping center . My group of 4 arrived promptly at 11am, when Yelp stated they were open, but I saw that they had opened a little early and two customers were already served and seated. There were 4 or 5 interior tables that could seat groups of 4. When you walk inside you go straight to the counter to order your food. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us with a big smile and explained the menu. They have 3 combo options (1 vs 2 vs 3 entree) that includes the foods in the hot food display counter or you could order a larger size portion as a single entree off the menu. Things in the hot food display were 1. Chicken tikka masala (spicy and non spicy options) 2. Vegetable Korma 3. Goat Curry (extra$). 4. Saag Paneer 5. Tandoori chicken 6. Aloo Gobi 7. Lentil dish, and I think some others but can't remember!! Anyways after you pick at the counter the employees scoop it in front of you - with the combo meals you get rice and naan. We all chose combos so we could try the different dishes. I really love eggplant and was bummed it was not on the hot selections but guess what? Nice man made it for us anyways to put in our combos!!!! All the flavoring of the food was on point and delicious! The spicy tikka masala is not something for the weak so if you don't like heat then order the "regular" tikki masala. Meat was tender on the goat and chicken dishes. My favorite however was the eggplant, I seriously could eat it everyday Staff were so sweet and kind. We even had a nice conversation about shared interests (running races) and he shared a story about his friend doing the Everest marathon and showed us the pictures. Amazing!! So support small businesses my friends because this was yet again another hidden gem in riverside! read more

Came here after it was highly recommended from a friend. Pros - Great flavor on the tika masala Cons - Skimpy on the chicken Both the chicken in my tika masala and my tandoori chicken were really dry. My food was room temp at best...... Service was whatever; fast but unenthusiastic. It's a shame because the flavor on the masala was probably one of the best I've had. read more

NEW OWNERSHIP I've been coming here for many years. I live down the street. I used to eat here three times a week. The new ownership has shrunk down the portion sizes. The food tastes different. Specifically the goat isn't as good. I know times are tough. We need to find a way to give better portions. For now as the portion sizes are smaller and the food isn't as good I won't be coming here. Especially when you pay three dollars extra for The Goat and they barely give you any. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience. Ever since the previous chef left, the quality of the food has gone downhill. The dishes were bland, watered down, and lacked the authentic flavors I used to enjoy. The customer service also left a lot to be desired. The person at the front counter was rude, seemed rushed, and wasn't interested in helping. When I asked for recommendations, they offered little assistance and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The dining area was also disappointing. The tables were sticky and didn't appear to have been properly cleaned or sanitized, which made the restaurant feel unkempt. Overall, both the food and the service have declined significantly. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements, because this place used to be much better. read more

Food was delicious. Service was chill and kind and pleasant. Mango lassi was on point. Samosa as well. Would come back.

They changed ownership and chef. The food is tasteless and the portions are laughable. One side of tandoori chicken was 1/2 a tight or a thigh of a pigeon. The naan was flat and chewy. And they probably put 3 pieces of chicken in my tikka masala. And the prices were ridiculous. Never coming back. I gave them 2 stars because at least they gave me plenty of rice. read more

This is my favorite cheap indian food place in Riverside. The owner here is incredibly sweet and once we had to wait super long for him to train the new guy on how to make the naan so he gave us some extra curry and naan to have since we finished our plate. As a namaste regular, i can say that im pretty disappointed with the serving portion on this last visit. I ordered the combo #1 chicken tikka which is only one slot of meat and rice, but the amount of chicken i got (4 small chunks) is unacceptable. I usually expect all my rice to get sauced as well and i only got a little dab of it as you can see. On a side note, the naan was very doughy as well and had no flavor. Its very inconsistent ordering here and it really depends on who is taking the order whether or not you get your moneys worth. The food is good usually i would just like more of it if im paying nearly 15 bucks for a combo #1. The vibes are cool though. read more

First time here and I was seriously impressed. I've tried a lot of Indian restaurants around the Inland Empire, but this one stands out in the best way. The food tastes incredibly authentic and has that comforting, home-cooked feel you don't always find. It may be a bit tucked away, but don't let that fool you--this spot is a hidden gem. The staff is warm and welcoming, and it feels like a true family-owned place, which definitely shows in the quality and care put into the food. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Came here over two years ago and it was amazing! I loved the shrimp curry the best. Nice customer service although I will unfortunately flag that a few days later I was personally contacted by their young cashier who took my number from an online order I placed. Very inappropriate. We have been customers for years and the food is always consistently delicious! Tonight was no different. We ordered (through a delivery service) chicken Tikka Masala, vegetable Korma and palak paneer with a side of naan. The food came hot, thoughtfully packaged and made to our specifications. Sometimes it takes a little longer than your average "take out," but it is cooked to order and worth the wait! read more

You never want to end up in Riverside, but if you do find yourself in that unfortunate situation, this restaurant is a diamond in the rough that almost makes it worthwhile. Great food, kind staff, quiet place. Lots of halal, vegan, and vegetarian options. Anything you need, just ask. Good place.

Two stars for Smriti's friendly service and one for the half way decent Bhature. The restaurant is a hole in the wall in a strip mall. A steam table offers some basic Indian fare. Did not look appetizing at all so we decided to order a la carte. The Bhelpuri chaat was anything but Bhel. For those of you who know what this is, do not order it here. For first timers- do not order it here. The chhole bhature were ok. The dough for the bhature isn't the same they use for the naan but hey it works. Fluffy bready bhature! The chhole not very good. Not authentic. Also sadly none of the accompaniments were provided or were available. They need to up their game if they want to last. read more

Everything is amazing! Perfect spot for Indian food. Staff is also very nice. Will definitely be coming back.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. the food was ridiculously bad and flavorless. The naan and roti was slathered in oil and tasted gross. The lassi had was warm, had spinach instead of mint, no salt, and smelt expired. The papad was soggy, the onions were soggy. The chicken tikka was somehow simultaneously too sweet and too spicy?? The daal was gross and had no flavor, the saag paneer was mushy and flavorless as well. The food was overall stale. Don't waste your money here when you could go anywhere else. read more
