So....great social media advertising posts led me to drive all the way out near Riverside to try this Indian cuisine - run from a residential address but assured permit status. I downloaded their app which was easy to order from. I set a pick up time after my Mt Rubidoux hike (which I highly recommend) and drove to the address. Someone was outside already handing someone else their order and I gave them my name, and voila, order was in car and ready for somewhere to eat it. I ordered a Butter Chicken Burrito, a Bhatura (fried bread) and a set of 4 samosas. Everything was neatly wrapped and nice and warm. The Samosas were a good size and had two nice accompanying dipping sauces. The Bhatura was a decent fried bread - made better dipped in those sauces I just mentioned. The Butter Chicken Burrito was good in size and taste, yet it didn't taste at all like Butter Chicken that I've had all over the world. Maybe it's a regional thing (I guess I've had North Indian Butter Chicken) so I was disappointed at this, yet it tasted nice for whatever it is. Overall a good experience.

Yes, yes... and YES!!! I'm so glad we finally tried Cali Tardka! I had been wanting to check them out ever since seeing them on Instagram sometime last year. If you're searching for flavorful, authentic Punjabi dishes, this is definitely the place to go. We drove from Palm Springs, so it took about an hour to get there with rush hour traffic--but it was absolutely worth it. We ordered 2 Greg Specials, 2 Chana Samosa Plates, and 1 Shahi Paneer Burrito. Everything was made promptly, and we were able to pull up curbside where our order was brought out by Manu with a big smile and great service. Even though we didn't go inside since it was a pickup order, the place had a welcoming vibe. Not wanting to hop right back into traffic, we pulled around the corner to the park and opened up the Chana Samosa and the Burrito... and immediately started texting to order more! They were that delicious. The flavors were incredible and everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The pricing was also spot on. I honestly can't believe we didn't try them sooner, but I'm so glad we finally did. Safe to say we've found a new favorite spot, and we'll definitely be back! Thanks Manu and family!

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. FINALLY!! I've got my hands on a plate. I ordered the Greg's special, with a side order of garlic naan. The food is absolutely delicious. Very flavorful. The service was up to par. They even bring it to your vehicle. They provide utensils. Packaging was nice!! Very easy to place an order on their website. The prices are great and the portions are absolutely amazing. Food is fresh and hot when arrived to store front. Con: I was really looking forward to enjoying the Samosa because that is one of the best parts. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of their Samosa because the potatoes tasted sour and it barely had any seasoning. It mostly tasted like sour potatoes wrapped in a crispy outside. I've got to say that I will not order a Samosa with them, but I definitely will order a plate again. Thank you again Cali Tardka!!

Really great Indian takeout spot in Riverside! Live around the area and have heard great things about them so decided to give it a try. Ordering online was quick and easy and pickup was on time and prompt. Their food was really great, one of the best Indian places I've had. The Greg special was awesome and came with a samosa. The highlight was the chicken tikka masala burrito, a unique take on a popular dish. Chicken was done very well and the naan was amazing! Will definitely be back for more and can't wait to try the different dishes on the menu. Feels like you're eating top tier homemade Indian food!

I tried the paneer tikka and aloo gobi burrito recently. Both super delicious, and as usual, the curry was very generously packed. I did find the burrito fragile (understandable, given that it's wrapped in a piece of naan); I cut it in two, and one half fell apart after I took a bite and put it down. Just keep a tight grip on it and you'll be fine. I ended up pouring some curry on/in the other half, since it was just a little bit dry.

Really happy about this place. I was looking for places to eat in the orangecrest area and this place kept popping up. First of all, they make all their food in their home and all you have to do is to order online, choose pickup time, and then you would pull up curbside. They will bring the food to you. They were prompt and right on time bringing the food to us. The menu was super simple, which I love. This was our first time, so we just went for the gregs special. This was a wonderful plate of tikka masala and butter chicken with a huge portion of rice, garlic naan, and a samosa. This was such a huge portion, you can basically split it to 2 meals. Everything was delicious but I would come here again just for the samosas alone. They were fried to perfection. They do have a permit for their home kitchen, so it is legit. Super stoked that we live pretty close to this location for Indian food.

This place was the first time i tried indian food before a and its so bomb. I keep going back and its still my favorite indian place. The serving sizes are huge and the naan bread is soooo buttery my entire family loves it! Its so quick to order as well. I love getting the 2 entree cause it comes with the free side and a naan bread still!

The best authentic Indian food in Riverside. My meal came with basmati rice & garlic naan bread. So delish. Generous serving. Can't wait to order again.

    Pickup spot for food

Service is quick and friendly. The food is delicious, I've gone a few times now and enjoyed everything I've tried. I think my favorite so far are the butter chicken masala fries. The only tip for those I would say is to make them more crispy to handle the amount of sauce so they don't get soggy quickly, but other than that they're very flavorful with juicy chicken. It has a sweet note at the end of the spiciness which I really enjoy. I also got the butter chicken burrito and the Greg's special as well which were all really good, I definitely recommend and will be going back myself.

We found this place online and decided to fuel our bellies here. Upon entering there are seats on both sides of the restaurant with the serving area and cashier in the middle. We decided to dine-in and they helped us with ordering. I ordered the Dinner Special Thali ($15.99) which comes with 2 entrees, daal, rice, naan, mango lassi, samosa or kheer. I was allowed to choose 3 entrees of my choice from the select options they had in their serving area (not from all the entrees they have on their menu). I like options and variety, so from their limited entrees I chose mushroom saag (spinach based), chicken tikka, and their paneer tikka. I'm glad I got to taste different options but I like the chicken the best. I also chose the kheer and got the mango lassi as my drink. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken ($14.99), basmati rice ($3.99), and the cheese naan which we asked if they can add garlic and they kindly did ($4.99). Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. On the tv's they were playing Indian music and their music videos, which were entertaining to watch. ---- Overall: the price point and tasty food are reasons we'd be stopping by if we're ever in the area again or driving back to SD, definitely check this place out if you want some yummy Indian food in Riverside at a reasonable price!

The food feels like a home cook meal and I was told from Northern India province. This was definitely not an Americanized India fusion nor anything served in any India California buffets and definitely a level above it. ========= Tandoori are served on Sizzling Platters and placed on top of sauté vegetables (onion, bell peppers with spices) that are pre-marinated for hours. A lemon wedge is provided to squeeze additional citrus flavoring to the meats. The spices in the tandoori meats were well embedded that I could smell/taste the spices hours after eating as well as the next day upon reheating leftovers. 21. LAMB CHOPS (RACK OF LAMB / 5 PCS) Pre-marinated lamb with each leg cut and blacken char in the clay oven. It was cooked to well so a bit dry/over done for me. However, I was told the meats can be cooked to any wellness a customer prefer. If you want medium make sure to specify upon ordering. It came with a paste made from fresh mint/cilantro to help with gamey taste associated with lamb. 16. CHICKEN TANDOORI Bone in chicken thigh/drumsticks pre-marinated with spices. Additional hot spice paste can be requested, but I ask to put on the side. It was cooked well done, so could be juicer if cooked less. A side of marsala could also help with the dryness of the meat. ========= Boneless cubed meat are slow braised in India spice sauces: 61. LAMB ROGAN JOSH ** Delicious in flavoring ** Braised cube boneless lamb in a stewed tomato sauce filled with India aromatic spices (onion, garlic, India spices: black cardamom, cumin, cloves, etc). It's similar to saltness of a rustic tomato cacciatore sauce but w/ India spices. 60. LAMB KORMA Wanting to compare it to Al-Noor (Pakistan) in Inglewood is Spicy, Salty, Tangy, the taste was a total opposite to a Sweet Floral Nutty and Creamy (Himalayan is India). In the usa, most restaurants are called India to make it simple for non-India customers. The flavor is different because these are two different cultures/regions but use the same name Lamb Korma. Although I could taste the cashews, it was more bland in comparison to the Rogan Josh and other Korma I've tried elsewhere. I did not add additional hot spice. All the sauces come in the same dish and fits in a 24oz plastic container including the rice. Meats are cubed and seem to be about 4 oz of meat on my 1st visit. ============ Garlic Naan is at ala carte prices and not complimentary. It had garlic with cilantro flakes. It was OK but not as buttery as Al Noor. However, this restaurant's Basmati rice had more flavor than the Naan to go well with their dishes/tandoori. Restaurant is small café style, it's can hold a party of 6 per table. Bottle wine or glass is available to purchase besides beer and soda. It does get busy after 5pm and parking does get tight since it shares it with other eating establishment. For quieter setting, go before the dinner crowd. Staff is friendly and nice. During my visit, many of patrons (are not India) and happy/eager to experience a place with exposure to dishes that provided different blend of spices. Service/experience and attentiveness was much better the 2nd time around that I look forward to trying a new dish on my next visit.
