Kailash Parbat was recommended to us by family, and we recently dined here with my in-laws. We really enjoyed some of the dishes we ordered, while a few others were just okay or a bit lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area. read more

Mouthwatering food with tons of options. This is a place to try whether you are vegetarian or not. We went for lunch and it was busy but we were still able to get a table immediately. We were looking for an authentic Indian place on our trip to Chino Hills. With a quick search, I found this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. This is in a strip mall so we were able to find parking easily. Once we walked in, we were seated almost immediately. The ambiance was very beautiful and decorated with traditional Indian decor. The server was very sweet and gave us complimentary dosa since they are launching it soon. The dosa was well made - soft and slightly crispy. It came with both coconut and tomato chutneys. It also came with a side of sambar. The dish was tasty and authentic. We also got a pan shot. It sounded interesting so we decided to try it out. It was yummy! We also got dabeli and vada pav. For entree we got the kofta curry and paneer tikka lababdar with garlic naan on the side. The vada pav was delicious and the dabeli was mouth watering. The paneer gravy was cooked to perfection. The flavor was great. The kofta curry was nice but not as good as the paneer gravy. The naan items were well roasted. Your long awaited search for amazing authentic Indian food has come to an end, because it's here. And not only is it here, it's extremely inclusive with their veg cuisine! The inside of the restaurant has traditional aspects with a modern touch, giving it a more sleek and upbeat vibe. They have a full service bar too if you'd prefer a more casual Friday night styled dine instead of a table. Our server was very kind and while I didn't have much experience in ordering Indian food, he was helpful in picking out some of their top sellers, as you can see pictured below. EVERYTHING, and I mean everything tasted incredible. It's one thing I've always loved about Indian food, their great use of spices and seasonings that truly elevate dishes without ruining them, and kailash parbat did just that and more. The naan was flaky, it had stretch, it was perfect for dipping and mixing, the tikka was plentiful, flavorful and the dipping sauce added the cherry on top. The Dal, paneer and masala all had their individual flavors and spice and it gave a great distinction between the three, each with their own pros. Nice restaurant, food was good/okay. Some things needed more flavor. Pani puri- pretty good, but needed something to add to it in the puri. The pani and tamarind sauces were perfect. Bhel - everyone loved this Corn basket - weird combos of flavors Pav bhaji - everyone loved this Paneer appetizer - a bit too plain, needed more flavor or needed to be cooked tandoori style more. It was way too soft and flimsy. The sauce it comes with was not flavorful. Cheese naan - the cheese tasted funny but the naan was good. My child wasn't a fan. Mumbai sandwich - needed more flavor, it was a bit too mushy and the cheese didn't taste good with it, I would say no cheese next time and to add more seasoning. Mango lassi - really good! My child loved it! Virgin Mojito - really good! I'd like to come back and try out other dishes. The place is nice, employees are nice and food came quick. A simple greeting, checking in, or being visible on the floor would have made a big difference. Recently I visited Kailash Parbat and tried the Indian snacks here like Vada pav, Dahi Bhalla papdi chat, Chole Bhature and Amritsari Soya Chaap. I loved the Dahi Bhalla papdi chat here and also the Chole Bhature was their signature dish and worth trying. Vada pav was also good. Just the soya chaap could have been more smoky and spicy. Also we tried their masala tea which was the best!! Next time I would definitely try their Indian Thalis. Also the service staff gave good recommendations. I ordered the Paneer Butter Masala Meal ($17.99); this vegetarian meal was satisfying, flavorful, and hot The Paneer Butter Masala Meal included fluffy Jeera Rice, soft Paneer (Mild Indian Cheese) in savory Butter Masala sauce, crisp Papad, and Butter Naan flatbread. It also comes with dessert (sweet, syrupy Gulab Jamun). It's a satisfying vegetarian meal! The textures and spices are an adventure of comforting flavors. If I had to nitpick, the Butter Naan flatbread was a little soggy and floppy. Thankfully, it easily soaked up the hot Butter Masala's thick, smooth sauce. In addition, I think offering guests "spiciness levels" (examples: mild, medium, hot) rather than one heat would accommodate more guests. Unfortunately, my dining partner found the meal too spicy for her tastebuds. Personally, I enjoyed the nice, hot kick. Staff is courteous and welcoming. I was seated quickly. In addition, the meal arrived within seven minutes and 15 seconds. Fast! I appreciated the quick, helpful service. The ambiance is very festive. Sugar is the "base ingredient" of uninspiring dishes that claim to be authentic Mumbai street food. 4.5 stars We made our way to Chino Hills over the weekend to try Kailash Parbat and overall, it was a great experience! The food was flavor-packed and satisfying, especially if you're into Indian street food and North Indian comfort dishes. We ordered quite a bit -- KP chaat platter, papdi chaat, chole bhature, schezwan hakka noodles, paneer tikka lababdar, tava roti, kulfi falooda and gulab jamun with rabri. Everything was tasty and nicely presented. The chole bhature and papdi chaat were definite favorites -- super flavorful and well-spiced. When ordering we were warned that the schezwan hakka noodles would be extremely spicy and it was definitely very very spicy ( a solid 9/10 spice). Desserts were rich and indulgent. The falooda was refreshing, and the gulab jamun with rabri was pure comfort. Only downside service was quite slow, even though we were the second customers in the restaurant upon opening at 11.. The staff was polite, but we had to wait longer than expected between dishes. Still, we'd come back -- especially for the chaats and that gulab jamun! We went on New Year's Day and there was a huge line. We waited close to an hour for a table for 4. Once we sat down it took them a long time to take our order and we had to flag them down. After we ordered though, the food came out quickly. The food is excellent. The chaat platter is so flavorful, but it has to be eaten fresh. This would not be a good to-go item. The garlic naan and the paneer butter masala was super flavorful. The crispy potatoes is basically fries with an Indo-Chinese flair. It was doused in sauce and somehow still crispy. But keep in mind it's spicy so if you're not into that, I would stay away. The veg fried rice was delicious and super garlicky. The green paneer we got had a nice sauce that complemented the dish well. Finally the laasi was very flavorful. It's not a huge cup so don't get one to share because there won't be enough. Overall, I would definitely recommend eating here, as long as you're ok with waiting for a table. read more

To preface: I liked the food here. I think everything here is vegetarian, which is lovely (I would love some vegan options too, but no, I'm not taking stars off for that). There's a huge selection of different street foods and chaat, so I ordered the sampler plate to try a couple different things. All of them were good! Probably the weakest one was the crispy corn chaat, which sounded more exciting than it was. I also wasn't a huge fan of the chili cheese sandwich-- It was really oily and not in a good way, since it felt wet, and the cheese didn't really hold the two slices of bread together. Otherwise, the curry was excellent, and the naan was great. I'm leaving a mixed review because of the owner or the manager, though. When I asked for to-go boxes, he gave me A LOT of trouble about it because, according to him, the chaat wouldn't be good later. Just give me the box and let me take my leftovers! (As a side note, the chaat was absolutely fine later as a spread. You just have to be creative...) This also extended to him telling me what to put in what box, grabbing the box from me to show me how to open and close it (I am familiar with takeout boxes), and just generally being unnecessarily condescending. This might be a tad harsh, because I'm sure he just wanted to help, but it ended up making me uncomfortable. Okay so I think most of the recent reviews get this...their service is garbage and non existent. Also don't get any cocktails...it took them 90+ minutes for them to get me the cocktail that I ordered. I honestly don't think it's worth coming here even if the food is not bad because their service is that atrocious. Some food is fantastic...others I'm rather meh about. Pani puri 4/5. Herbed potatoes and the sweet tamarind sauce are fantastic. The tangy water...it's not heavy enough in seasoning for my liking. When you bite into it it's like a fluffy crispy airy dough shell with the texture of boiled eggs but the flavor reminds me of samosas... Also the fried dough thing on top to add the extra crunch is nice Bombay vada pav - 5/5 soft pillowy potato bread with spiced potato fritter.. just yes. They give you additional chilli peppers which honestly are a little too spicy for me.... And the mint chutney is really spicy too.... But the tamarind sauce is tangy and more tart/ and different from the tamarind sauce w/ Pani puri. I absolutely loved this and this was the best thing on the menu. Stuffed mushrooms with cheese - 3.5/5 the cheese does cut into spice from other foods but it's not a dish i think is worth ordering. The tomato flavor is strong and I barely taste coriander or other spices because the tomato overpowered everything else. I don't know what biryani I had because it's not on the menu anymore as I'm writing the review as of 3.28.26 but that was a 2/5. That was terrible. Portion size fantastic but God .... Frozen peas carrots green bean mixture killed this. There was barely any spice or flavor. I genuinely was disappointed. Cocktail.. 0.5/5 It took them 1 hour and 30 minutes before I got my cocktail. Wtf why is it only one person knows how to make cocktails and why is that the person greeting people. Please get more and better staff so that they can actually be doing one job only. For reference I ordered the cocktail "vessel of shakti" and honestly... It gave me artificial candy strawberry daiquiri mix. The coconut water is lost in flavors. I did not taste like. Skip this. Just don't order cocktails because only 1 person knows how to make them. .5 only because the person making the drink was genuinely apologetic and busy. The service here is absolute shit. You can't flag people down, they'll ignore you if you're not Indian so rubbish service. But also the waiters seem really pissed off and don't want to be here. I was honestly surprised they were not busier! Service was excellent. My husband and I were seated immediately, we barely had to wait when we were ready to order, and when ready to pack the food into boxes and pay, the staff was very efficient is calculating how many boxes were needed and bringing us the check. Food was also great! Our favorite has to have been the Chloe bhatura. The bhatura came out piping hot and was so fluffy it was to die for. It also paired beautifully with the chick pea curry. We also got the Punjabi samosas which were surprisingly huge. The two of us got full off of the aforementioned dishes alone! It makes the prices very reasonable. I've been here twice now, and I'm a fan! It's a fun experience enjoying "traditional" Mumbai street foods. Just a heads-up, this place is strictly vegetarian - so if you're craving meat, this isn't the spot for you. But trust me, you'll be pleasantly surprised that meat isn't missed to feel satisfied! On my first visit, we tried a chaat platter (though I can't quite remember its name), and the waiter was fantastic. He even shared that he came from Mumbai to open restaurants globally, with his next destination being Germany. How cool is that? This 2nd visit to Kailash Parbat, I came with a larger group, so we got to sample a variety of dishes - paneer, pani puri, roti, saag and a few others I don't remember since I wasn't the one ordering. But my standout favorite was the dessert, rasmalai. It's hands down the best I've ever tasted - absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying their pani puri, dahi wada. Pani Puri - a little puff cup that can hold a lot of filling plus pani without breaking. The tamarind chutney was the perfect sweetness. Dahi wada - this is a bit more on the softer side. It was topped with a generous amount of yogurt. It's just as good, packed to the rim with goodness. Classic paneer tikka had a slight marination of some kind and paired well with red onions Palak paneer is my favorite, so it will always be ordered. This was packed with creamy and savory flavor. Chili garlic naan could use a bit more chili, but still, overall, 10/10 Chole Batura is another classic dish with fluffy batura, and Chana soaked in spices. I wished there was more chole: red onions and mango-like achar. The ambiance is done well and classy, not overpowering. This place is busy on the weekends. The blend of spice in the chickpeas was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. It can be very filling especially when you eat it with the fluffy bread. It was served with pickled spiced mango pieces, red onions, and chili. SEV PURI Crispy fried bread topped with onion, tomato, raw mango, herbs and spices served with chili chutney and sweet tamarind sauce. It was crunchy and unique in flavor.
