So I wanted to breakdown my star rating here. I hired the company to clean and inspect my chimney. The services were performed but I was never informed until I called and left a voicemail. -Minus 4 Stars: Denise Dansereau the GM of the company (wife of the owner). She was pretty rude on the phone when I spoke with her. Not only that, she left two nasty voicemails on my phone demanding for the money on a Saturday (10/19/19) when I was never informed that the service was completed. I ended up paying over the phone and asked to be emailed the receipt. I never got the receipt. Customer experience doesn't really exist, was pretty disappointed. -Minus 1 Star: I asked the technician politely to not disclosed the invoice with my tenants and that I would 100% take care of the bill. Technicians arrived on time. However, they arrived in a sketchy looking unmarked white van. They cleaned our vents and talked me into paying more to have the inside of our furnace cleaned. They did not replace the floor vent covers and there was debris all over. Our garage was covered with black suet. It was as if they just blew everything out with a blower not a VACUUM???? We've had our vents cleaned by another company in the past and they did an great job. I called and spoke to Melissa regarding these issues. She was very professional and handle the situation well. She spoke to the owner. He said that he would give us some service for free the next time we have our air ducts cleaned again. Well, that's not going to happen but thanks anyways! 2 Stars Pros: Called when they were 15 minutes out and showed up in the scheduled window of time. Appointment was easy to schedule. Cons: Work truck was a ghetto white van with no identification and the technician did not have a uniform. I find this very unprofessional. Biggest annoyance - the technician left my home a MESS. I found remnants from the ceiling under EVERY vent he covered and he didn't screw one of the vents back in properly and it was hanging down. Overall - I am disappointed. Last week I bought PSPS's Groupon for chimney/fireplace cleaning. I was able to schedule their visit pretty quickly, and they came out on Friday morning when my husband was home. Two men arrived and one went up on the roof to inspect the chimney, and the other set up camp in our den to work on the cleaning. My husband told him that in addition to the den fireplace, we have a second one downstairs. This was acknowledged, and the technician told him they'd be able to clean that one as well. In the 30 or so minutes that they were there, the inside technician spent about as much time texting as he did cleaning the fireplace. The technician on the roof (who I later learned was Randy, the owner), poked his head in to say he was done and would be in the car, and the guy inside quickly packed up and left. Didn't even lay eyes on the fireplace downstairs. Later that day I received an email with a bid for additional repairs that our chimney would need. I had a pleasant exchange with Alyssa, who was operating the emails, but I shared with her the experience that my husband had after he explained it all to me. I definitely expressed my frustration in this email, without being rude or unreasonable. I asked that they return to finish the job. Shortly after, Randy called me. He was clearly upset, and personally offended by my email. He'd misunderstood the texting comment (he thought we were talking about him), but still dismissed/defended the technician who had actually been doing it. He said he didn't appreciate my "tackiness" for "accusing" them of all of this. He said more than once that he hadn't known about the second fireplace or they would have taken care of it. That may be true, but I don't think it's a reasonable assumption that we have to shout something from the rooftops for it to be heard; as far as my husband was concerned, they knew about it. When I shared my experience with them via email, I was absolutely willing to have a conversation about what happened, maybe clarify whether there had been any misunderstanding, and figure out how to make the situation right. I hadn't even written off inviting PSPS back to take care of the chimney repairs. But Randy's phone call was so rude, defensive, and unprofessional. I think his use of the word "tackiness" was ironic given how this whole situation played out. Avoid this company if you have any reasonable expectation of professionalism, clear communication, or thorough work. read more

I have used PSPS through Groupon twice for chimney sweeps, heating cooling maintenance and then continued as a client outside of Groupon. Each time the techs were prompt(even received a call ahead notice for being early), cleanly and professional. For scheduling I have contacted through phone and email without any issue though I can tell how busy they are for the winter months. I have been a customer for a few years now and will continue to use them for my home maintenance needs. Thanks PSPS! read more

I have called several times to schedule and left messages, and to be truthful, did get a message of missed call once. Used a groupon. They came over and did a total bait and switch and I sadly fell for it and paid hundreds for a "whole house cleaning? because they found dry wall in my furnace that turns out all they did to clean it was use a compressor. They didn't insert any kind of brushes or anything into my vents to clean whatever dirt was in it, claimed their pressurized system would take care of it. The guys who came in took compressed air and sprayed in each vent for about 2 seconds. I was mailed some electro static filter that didn't even fit right, and I've called and emailed them about three times trying to get the right size with no response. Do not use these guys. read more

Avoid these scammers like the plauge. These people are far from professional and did the lousiest job. Left the vent covers to the registers not even put back. Tried upselling me for things that should have been done in cleaning. This company is a fly by night operation and there manager Rick had the nerve to ask me for money with them destroying the residence. The workers show up in this beat up mini van with no logos of the business name. The guys looked like they came out of the nearest jail yesterday and just happened to not even know how to use a vaccum cleaner. I had to clean up everywhere behind them as they took no care to making sure things were covered protected. They were extremely rude to my birds and had no respect for anything. Don't hire these morons. Not only that they dumped there vaccum contents on the deck. After turned on furnace there was this burning smell. They only used a cheap shop vac and didn't do the job according to industry standards for air duct cleaning. No inspection with cameras of the heating system. These guys couldn't even work the vaccum cleaner and didn't use proper negative air return. The vaccuum deposited crap from who knows what other house. There is nothing but crappy work and extortion going on from this company and the job isn't done. No worker identification a true contractor wouldn't be such unprofessional either. Your in someone's home don't disrespect them. Also they didn't wear slip covers to protect the rain and dirt from being dragged into the house. Dirty disgusting and downright nasty business who sends text threatening messages as well. No use of cameras or brush that rotates to clean the ducts they didn't do nothing more then as far as the hose goes into the vent. read more

I bought a Groupon for air vent cleaning to prepare for the upcoming winter. I called them no less that five times during the two weeks to try to set up an appointment, but they never answered. I even left two voice mails and never got a call back until week three. They finally called back, set up an appointment and came out. I will say that they did an excellent job. They're family ran and very busy and that's why they don't get back to you right away. They're worth the money if you aren't in a hurry. read more

All tolerable just once except when they asked me to pay taxes for the Groupon (at more than 10% -- $4.30 tax for $35 Groupon). I didn't receive a receipt. He also was nice to my dog and took extra care not to let the pets out as he was coming in and out. That is always appreciated. I signed up for a Groupon with this company, that specifically covered the area I live. I called to schedule a couple of times; they eventually returned my call, and stated that they no longer service my area. I don't know how they could make a contract with Groupon that covers several areas, and then withdraw support for those areas during the active Groupon. I made a complaint to Groupon. I resent the time I spent trying to schedule, and then to have to cancel / get refunded my Groupon. This company sucks. We bought a Groupon for air duct cleaning and as fate has it, a more serious issue with our motor was discovered. Since, our home is a new build, the builders didn't clean the furnace or the motor post-construction and there was sheet rock stuck all over it. Due to an oversight on their part, Puget Sound Pro willingly replaced the motor free of charge and did an entire system cleaning along with ordering of an air filter for lifetime use. Furthermore, Richard was extremely patient with all my questions & concerns and provided some helpful tips. I can't recommend them enough. It was hard to initially get a hold of someone and setup an appointment but past that stage, everything has been smooth sailing so far. I will update my review once the filter arrives. read more

"Pro" has no place in this company's name, as they are anything but professional. Between not showing for scheduled appointments (which I had to take time off from work for) and not actually doing the work they were paid to do, this is one company that I will never even consider doing business with again. Instead of replacing flashing as they were supposed to do, they simply caulked around the existing, rotting flashing. Since we were told it was replaced, other repair work was done costing me thousands of dollars more, which now has to be re-done as the initial problem (a leak) was never fixed. The company has come out numerous times to further "repair" the leak to no avail. After months of trying to get this fixed, I still have a leaking roof, a hole in my ceiling (patched once already, new hole is larger ), brand new molding insulation, a 2 gallon bucket that now seems to be a permanent part of my fireplace, and what feels like a large financial donation to Puget Sound Pro Services. read more

Very poor service! Requested a chimney sweep yet technician simply ran a brush down the chimney. No report back to me if chimney was operable! The owner, Danny, was quick to recommend chimney caps at over $100/each. The technician installed the caps on chimney bricks which were not mortared onto the chimney! When I questioned this, Danny was quick to admit to the problem and promised to mortar the bricks, yet despite my repeated requests for him to perform the work, he has not gotten back to me. We purchased a Groupon for them to come out and clean the vents in our home including the dryer vent. The main reason we scheduled the cleaning was because we needed our dryer vent cleaned. The guy came out, charged us extra for the main vent, then DIDN'T clean the dryer vent. He claimed he couldn't find it on the side of the house and that it must have been on the roof. The dryer vent is on the side of our house in plain view of anyone looking for it. I had the (groupon) chimney sweep done by a young man who was kind and personable as well as thorough. He told me about the Groupon for the heat/dryer vent cleaning and check my air intake/return and said I should have that cleaned as well; even gave me pricing. The young men that came out for th e vent cleaning were great also. They checked each vent which are all in my ceiling and climbed into my attic to check out the furnace. Both times I was offered products that were reasonable for my needs, no pressure selling. Got this coupon on Groupon for airduct cleanning of the house for $39.99 or $49.99. They were very promply to call back for the appointment day. When they came they were very professional to even wear shoe cover in the house. 3 of them working and as Richard inspect my furnace and he recommended to more thoroughly cleaning of my furnace and got me for new reusable last for lifetime filter and the service price will be much more than groupon but the air will be better. I noticed this company at the Tacoma Home show. Chimney cleaning and inspection was listed for $69 and a dryer duct cleaning for $49. I felt the cleaning that was done on a tall stove pipe in my home was professionally completed. The employee was very friendly and offered helpful advice. He left the area cleaner than when he found it.I was disappointed in the vent dryer cleaning, however. Only the exterior end of the vent was vacuumed with no brush attached and no examination of the interior vent hooked up to the dryer inside the house was assessed. The employee spent about 5 minutes vacuuming about 6 feet into my vent. I could have done the same thing with my shop vacuum! The vents actual distance is about 20 feet. So, much of the vent was not addressed. In conclusion, I would recommend this outfit for a chimney cleaning but not a vent cleaning.Of course, if they returned to remedy this situation, I would revise my review!!! read more
