This was a great experience from start to finish. They were really responsive to inquiries, and it was easy to schedule a cleaning and inspection. Asher was our technician and was lovely to work with. Respectful of the house (booties on the feet to not track) and explained all the work he'd be doing. It was really fast and thorough. Our fireplace is older and had a crack in the bottom of the metal. Asher explained how those happen (age/heat) and why it matters (you lose heat out the crack and can be unsafe/uncontained)-- as well as the severity of our issue (not that bad, lucky for us!). I had put out a search through Yelp to find a fire place repair service. Asher Ohana from One Chimney Services responded immediately and even texted me. I ignored him at firstbecause I was intimidated just by looking at their website. It shows pictures of them repairing old style chimnies. Mine is a modern insert type. However, I decided to text a picture and ask if he repaired this type. Of course he does!! We scheduled appt. in the same week. The problem with ours was the pilot kept going off & on for several months then completely went off. Asher immediately found the problem. I think it took more time to unscrew the face plate. We needed a chimney cap in Duvall, WA. We had a few folks look at it but only one Chimney was enthusiastic about the job. The did a full inspection while they were there and have an honest assessment of the chimney condition and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Because we had two fireplaces, the chimney was unusual and he had to have a custom fabricated part. They handled all of that and even when the first one did not fit right, they quickly corrected it and got the right one, honoring the original quote. They also quoted a fireplace insert, which we haven't done, but I suspect if we go ahead with that we will use them. They are serious about their work and are focused on doing things right.
