They were super responsive in getting a quote and appointment set up right through Yelp. Got texts to remind me about the appointment & when the tech was on the way. He was polite and knowledgeable, and was able to solve the problem in a reasonable amount of time. He got it all cleaned up and looking nice! We recently bought a home with 2 gas fireplaces. Neither of them were working. We called and set up an appointment. The appointment was about a month out which is fine as we could wait. Thrilled that I found this place on Facebook. Generally, I do not entertain a lot of facebook ads but John went above and beyond our expectations. It was fun and educational to watch what he did to clean it out and we will be more conciencious about doing this yearly from now on. No hard sell, no gimmicks, no trying to upgrade us to something else like some other companies but John was really good and we hope we made a friend. Was referred here as not all companies do propane fireplaces. The whole process was pleasant from prompt messaging within Yelp to upfront pricing to on-time arrival on the dot. My technician was very friendly and did a very thorough cleaning job, I mentioned in the appointment the thermal couple is going out and they came prepared with the right parts and replaced them, and rearranged the incorrectly placed fake logs. When the technician arrived he explained the sooting was normal (based on my type of gas fireplace) and was not a cause for concern so I was not charged for the service. I waited a month to have them come to look at my two fireplaces. They charged me 289 to clean the first one which worked better afterwards. However their tech didn't have a replacement battery tray or offered to order the part and install it for me. I had to order it and install it myself. I'm not entirely happy with how that was handled but I'm glad to have a working fireplace. They charged me 150 for the second one which didn't work. They cleaned the non working fireplace, checked for gas leaks then was told a part needed to be ordered. They never called me back about the part. I had to inquire two times and finally was told the part is no longer available. They claim they tried contacting me but I don't have anything in my call log or my email. I basically paid $150 to clean a broken fireplace. They said they would install the part at no extra cost which makes me wonder about their motivation to come out at all at no additional benefit to them, since I already paid them the full amount. With no word from them I have doubts if they ever called the manufacturer. I think their business model is to clean working fireplaces and move on. They don't have an incentive to come back. Also their tech was unprepared. He had a van with him, but in his van he didn't have spare batteries for his flashlight, or aluminum tape to seal an air leak in the fireplace. I don't think this company fixes fireplaces, it just cleans working ones because it's easy money. I doubt they have the expertise to solve anything past simple cleaning and replacing parts. We purchased a 15 year old home and I am certain the propane fireplace has never been serviced. It was dirty and had soot all over both sides of the glass front. I called another company to service it and made an appointment a month out. There was a part that needed to be replaced, added $130 to the service visit cost, but I am happy to have the fireplace working and know it is safe to operate.
