Easy in and easy out. Friendly associates. During the grand opening customers get a reusable Publix bag. There's a Starbucks located inside. If you're needing food or dessert for a catered event. They also have that for you. Hot food is sold as well as a salad bar and subs made fresh while you wait. They make sushi daily. There's also a pharmacy located inside.

It's not any different here, though YRMV depending on the time of day. COVID update: they can do better. - There is hand sanitizer and a spray bottle with towels to disinfect your own cart. Better than nothing, but I think with the volume this store sees, they should have people manning this. I mean....come on, even Target has someone disinfecting carts! - Employees wearing masks are hit or miss. Most do, but I've seen adults wearing them incorrectly or not at all. Shameful. - No enforcing mask wearing. I saw some girl stumbling around like she was on something and no employees told her to put her mask on. - Social distancing is fine, but I go to self checkout and avoid everyone lol. Best Kroger in the area, like I said. It's cleaner, less chaotic, and the staff are generally nice. Still think there's more they can do, especially in the pandemic.

He would not move forward in line and prevented me from placing my items up on the conveyor so that the register associate could scan and send them to a young man bagging groceries. The manager, let's call him Robert, was rude and judgmental. He was also not willing to help. The end result was my groceries cost about $45 and I was sent to customer service to use Kroger Pay. The App is full of useless links to confuse customers. Why does Kroger promote gambling in the APP? I finally used Kroger PAY and left.

You know you've entered adulthood when your friends tell you that you HAVE to check out a grocery store. I was always told they carry everything and were like a bigger Fresh Market. I've driven past locations around the Greater Richmond area and Charlottesville. Over my winter break for work, I decided to finally check it out. This grocery store is madness, but also incredible. We went on Christmas eve so it was PACKED. It was still a lot of fun. It feels like they have every brand or food item you could possibly think of here. My fiancé and I treated ourselves to some fancy and yummy groceries. My favorite sections of the store were the cheese stations (very organized with so many yummy cheeses to pick from), the mushroom section (almost every variety of mushroom lived here), and the wine section (I finally found Lillet). Like Whole Foods, they do have a food court-like sections. We enjoyed some pizza before we started shopping. There was plenty of parking out front. It's a huge place. If you're looking for a grocery food adventure, this is the place to do it.

They also don't have a value card and any coupons need to be downloaded on their app. Talk about making shoppers work harder than they should. They also do not offer fuel rewards like Kroger does. In fact the more I type the more I wonder why I go to Wegmans in the first place just because they have a nice store front. It's not worth it. Don't be fooled.

I really like the camisoles that are $2.98 and they normally have them during all seasons. You can't beat that price. The kids section was well stocked and had some really cute outfits. I also liked the options they had for cat food. I tried several types but my boogie spoiled cat side eyed me still because it didn't satisfy his exquisite taste buds. Lol. They have 3 dressing rooms. You do have to find a associate for them to let you in. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but not to bad. I asked an associate in the women's section for help but she told me to find help. I had to laugh, because ma'am I thought you were the help. Tracking down help in there was like looking for your boyfriend or girlfriend that's on the late night creep. Where are they?? Lol. Everyone I asked for assistance didn't work in that department. I gave up and just figured it out myself. The checkout lines moved pretty quickly. Whereas other Walmarts I've been in you can stand in line for 15 minutes until your ankles break down and give up on you!! So I appreciated that. They have several handicapped spots out front as well. The visit was decent. Check them out.

The grocery store was sold years ago, but the prepared foods are still available in various locations around town - including Food Lion! Recently, I visited Richmond to care for a friend while she recovered from surgery. Her comfort food? Ukrops orange salad. She sent me to the local Food Lion to get it. I am not sure why it is called salad, as it is really orange jello with pineapple bits. Yet there it was, nestled amongst the potato salad and egg salad, next to the rotisserie chicken. It was enjoyed that same evening and my patient sank back onto the pillows, the post-surgery pain a little more bearable.

Short but sweet: this location checks the most important boxes, especially he most elusive--customer service. It doesn't have the massive selections of a Wegmann's or Whole Foods or Elwood Thompson's. Nor is it burdened with the pretentiousness or extortionate prices of those stores. This Food Lion outlet near the intersection of Patterson and Lauderdale in westernmost Henrico Country is immaculately clean and organized. It's staff is attentive and helpful--sure signs of strong customer-driven management and an ethos that works. There are at least a half dozen supermarkets nearer to my home. It's because of my experience every time that I drive right past them to buy my groceries here. My highest endorsement.
