They are really close to Vasen so you are able to connect to wifi and get some work done if you need. They have quite a few seating options available. Indoors is mainly high top seating. They have a garage door they can open for warmer months too. Like all Stella's Groceries, you can get hot fresh food, premade food, coffee, local gifts, wine, and more. There aren't many anythings on Yelp that have 5 stars with over 50 reviews. Stella's is one of them and for good reason. Great everything--desserts, to-go items, sandwiches, beer selection, etc.... We had the Mulberry sandwich--which was made with yummy bread and a fair share of topping--but it lacked the flavor I was hoping, and I slo will try something else next time. The fries were piping hot and plentiful and came in a "keep it hot" bag which was a great touch. Topped it off with a Magic Bar which was made with a lot of condensed milk--which means it was rich and good. Overall, a great find. And, surprisingly, a great value. It boasts several locations within Richmond--some markets provide grab-n-go, others made-to-order service. Residents at the Hull St location do not get to experience the luxuries of made-to-order food, however I visited the Scott's Addition location recently and to my surprise, was able to order one of my favorite salads - the Southern Summer. Do yourself a favor and try their pop-tarts. My top picks are strawberry, key lime coconut, peach, and raspberry. Flavors rotate, so grab one when available! read more

I ordered the mulberry street hero (Italian sub) and my partner ordered the Italian panini. The flavor was good but the meat was SKIMPY! I'm talking 1-2 slices of meat per sandwich. For $12 for a sandwich I'd expect something a bit heartier. They have a very nice patio and the grocery store has a ton of premade options that look good, but I'm don't think we're making this our go-to sandwich spot. read more

This is probably my favorite location from the local chain. There's one downtown close to my apartment also, but it doesn't seem to be stocked to quite a degree of variety. In particular, I love their cakes and other sweet offerings here; they're always delightful. The chicken soulvaki bowl made to order is also delicious and lasts me a few meals. The layout inside is so nice and airy. This location also offers indoor and outdoor seating for those who want to have a meal or a drink. So there we were, two days away from a catered dinner for 14 people (that we won as part of a silent auction) when the caterer backed out. Invites already sent out and accepted, so people coming. What do you do, cancel??? Hell no, you go to what you know will be a crowd pleaser, you go to Stella's Grocery!! This is a true story. When the caterer bailed we weren't sure what to do. We thought about asking Stella's (restaurant) to cater, but there wasn't enough notice. They suggested we talk to Jodi across the street at Stella's Grocery. Jodi and Stella's grocery were life savers. The selection of pre-cooked and ready to cook options was excellent. But the thing that made such a difference to us, in addition to the incredible food choices, was the level of customer service. Truly way above and beyond any expectation! Despite it being a busy Friday late afternoon, Jodi gave us her undivided attention. She took us around the shop and showed us all the different options, and helped us actually design the dinner party (appetizers, main options, deserts, wine). I felt like I had a life-long friend helping us, not a person I had just met. As we picked out items, Jodi and team whisked them away and rang them up, packaged them and had everything organized and waiting for us. (And offered to load it all in the car). We selected so many different amazing options I can't do them all justice. Stella is one of my favorite restaurants in RVA and enjoy pretty much everything they have on their menu. The hubby has gone into both this grocery and the one on Lafayette - we both agree that this one has more options. It's on a nice location in RVA Scott's Addition area (next to Vasen Brewery). I've actually been on this Nightingale Ice Cream hunt for a specific flavor. I had ran around different shops around RVA and was beat down when I didn't have any luck. A group of us went out to listen to Open Mic one Friday evening and decided to go in a check it out while I was waiting for my food from DankEatz. They freakin have it. They have my flavor: Black Forest Cherry Nightingale Ice Cream. I have never been so happy on a Friday evening hahaha. (Let's just say that I purchased about 5 bars to bring home to my freezer that evening). Anyways, aside from the awesome fact that they have my ice-cream, the prepackaged food, foods to go, and to go groceries are pretty awesome. It sucks to have to write this review to be honest, this chain of groceries and the main restaurant have always been great in my opinion but tonight was just a let down. I went in to order the Peruvian sub which I've had before and I got my son a chicken skewer. I placed the order in store at 6:21 and then waited for 35 minutes before our order was ready. A simple sandwich and one singular skewer on Wednesday night.. no it was not busy. Mind you this is not a sit and dine in location.. it's deli style, you order on a iPad and then wait for your order to be called. I was up at the front register in the process of getting my refund when they finally called my order. The frustrating part is seeing the kitchen crew in the back moving about with zero sense of urgency, there were two ladies next to me waiting at a table who came in just after me and while one lady got her salad after 25 minutes, the other lady hadn't received her food even as I was leaving 35 minutes in. The skewer my son got was barely lukewarm, which I'm assuming they must have a whole batch sitting in a warmer waiting for orders so what that tells me is I waited 35 minutes for one sub. I've worked in multiple kitchens, based off their menu I'd think they have a whole station set for just making sandwiches. Again it was by no means a busy night. Pretty disappointing. I'm hoping it was just a one bad night and not the new standard at Stella Grocery Scott's Addition. (Important note: because my name was called while they were looking up my order to refund it, I chose to collect my food and they did not offer to still refund the food for me, so no my food was NOT refunded) read more

I finally visited here for the first time! I must say, if I lived close by I would be coming here everyday. I love this place! You can order sandwiches, skewers, fries, rice and so much more. They have all the same things as the grocery in the fan area. Except here you can eat inside or outside. I sat outside on the patio today for lunch and it was great! What an awesome little store with a bit of everything! Scott's Addition is really an up and coming place since I first moved here. This store has it all from prepackaged foods, to prepared foods, to groceries. The location is very clean and the staff are always super helpful. It's definitely not cheap but you get a good amount for your money so while I can't come here every day it's definitely a nice treat! I got a traditional Greek salad, a coffee, and mayyyybe also a piece of unicorn cake. Everything was fresh and delicious and I was already eyeing other items for the next time! This is definitely closer to a specialty store than a grocery, but I know what I'm looking for when I come here! Whenever I go across the street to the restaurant (the OG Stella's), I can't seem to get enough of it, so I have to stop by here and pick up some of my favorites to-go! They offer so many of the dishes that are served at Stella'a but you can take them home and pop 'em in the oven to enjoy in the comfort of your own abode- what else can't one ask for?? A fun, unexpected, part of the store is its espresso bar. I picked up a latte today (~4.25 w tax), and it was exactly what I needed after a big meal. They know their coffee well here. My friend also got an affogato, and get this- they use gelati celesti as the base! Rainbow cookie affogato??? Heck yes! I was a first timer today at Stella's Grocery. Big menu! Lots of choices! Pictured is what we had for today's lunch. First, the Souvlaki Pita with Chicken! Warm pita, filled with the most delicious Tzatziki, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and that wonderful tender grilled Souvlaki chicken. I could taste the perfect Greek spices and a hint of olive oil. Then, there was the Souvlaki Salad Bowl with Falafel, accompanied by a generous portion of Tzatziki. The large, hot, freshly cooked falafel was some of the best I have ever had! Finally, a huge order of hot crispy Greek fries, seasoned simply with sea salt, fresh oregano, and feta cheese. Fantastic! After looking at the almost overwhelming number drinks, we chose lemon soda waters to drink. I love Greek food!! And I love this place! I can't wait to go back! read more
