I love Wegmans. It's basically like the Disneyworld of food. You can find anything and everything inside here. Their bakery is fantastic. As are the fresh veggies and fruits and their grab and go items make me never wanna cook again. Today we came because I broke my clay Chiminea this year and needed a new one. My local Wegmans was out of them so we were here for the day visiting family and I called to check on these and here they were! For 50% off! Staff were great going to check when I called before I drove over. Woohoo!

We walked through this store at first with stars in our eyes. So much to choose from, but mostly pricey. Reminded us of Harris Teeter or Lowes Grocery but on steroids! Picked up some beautiful flowers for our daughter and was intrigued by the salted caramel popped cakes so will give those a try. I could see my budget taking a beating here, but it's nice place to experience and pick up a few items.

The most expensive potato wedges I've ever eaten.

I've been stopping in regularly for pizza slices. Good deals on these and always ready to go. Check out staff is always friendly and polite. Sometimes try the sandwiches. Those are good as well. A word of caution around the wing bar. Visited recently and didn't really pay attention to it being a whopping $15.99 per pound. I got six potato wedges (see picture) and this rang up to just over $11 for 6 wedges. I realize inflation is a thing these days but this just seems nuts especially as the rest of their stuff is I think more fairly priced. Glad I didn't order even more off the wing bar.

I was excited to stop here while passing thru town as I'm looking forward to their upcoming expansion in NC. From the moment I walked in I was pleasantly greeted and offered samples, which were at several stations around the store, including freshly cooked scallops! I've been to Wegmans in PA & NY so I was expecting a similar experience, with the exception of the newly added Pub restaurant. The Pub is nice, has a lot of enticing offerings on the menu, but for the price I think I'd choose a local restaurant. There's two seating areas when getting food from the hot bars, one a little fancier than the other. I did have an excellent sub sandwich and the bread was fantastic! The thing I noticed is the store is smaller than the ones in PA & NY and even Fredericksburg, and it's reflected in a smaller bakery and deli area which doesn't have nearly the large selection of baked goods and prepared salads, etc. Boo! I left feeling a little sad that this scaled down version might be what we'll be getting in NC in the coming year and hope it won't be even smaller. It is a still Wegmans, which is a higher quality grocer than anything else around, but really was hoping for the full size store.

Have I mentioned that I love Wegmans? Yes, it may be slightly higher than some other stores, but this grocery store is so much more! The floral department is amazing! The wine shop is incredible! The bakery is fantastic! The deli is top notch! The prepared food section is terrific! The self serve buffet is super! The produce section is fresh! The selection is magnificent! It's like dozens of specialty shops all rolled under one roof! It's clean!! The staff is so helpful, they will walk you to the aisle you need. It's just a lovely shopping experience. There aren't enough adjectives to describe this glorious grocery store to the 10th power. I also like that there's a restaurant in the store! I've reviewed the pub separately. I will typically do my "everyday" shopping closer to home, but whenever I can, I drive to Wegmans for their premium customer service, unparalleled selection and extraordinary groceries!

Ah Wegmans, fine produce, great hot prepared food bar, massive bakery, coffee shop and cold brew, plus a variety of fresh smoothies and juices available for takeaway. Lovely greeting card assortment, neat gifts, expansive wine shop, lots of beer selections, great deal on "family size" packs of eggs and other items. The store is always clean, with attractive displays of Wegmans brand items (their coffee is very good) and seasonal items, from tableware to party favors. Two issues: #1- I used to frequent the Fredericksburg Wegmans, and the Woodbridge Wegmans, and occasionally the Wegmans in Hunt Valley, MD, and always received unparalleled service at every turn. This is my struggle with Wegmsns in Richmond. To speak to a Wegmans employee and have them say nothing in return (as was my experience yesterday after self check-out, saying to the attendant have a good evening and she just said nothing in return), or asking somebody if they can slice my bread and have the look on their face essentially say I really don't feel like doing this but I guess I will because that's my job. That is not the "Wegmans way" that I am familiar with, same goes for the Midlothian store. #2- Another struggle I have with Wegmans is that there are no fuel points. For a company that wants to save you money, I can't justify the expense of purchasing certain items there knowing I can get same or similar at the competition and get the gas rewards. If you have shopped at Wegmans you know it is a challenge walking out not having spent less than $50. Shoot, I went yesterday with the intent of just picking up a few of their brand Sparkling Frost grapefruit drinks and ended up spending almost $50. Overall I still love Wegmans, but still some kinks to work out, mainly customer service.

My fiancé was very impressed by the "create and mix your own protein powder" station, just like trail mix, but protein powder, what?!

Better than nothing, but I think with the volume this store sees, they should have people manning this. I mean....come on, even Target has someone disinfecting carts! - Employees wearing masks are hit or miss. Most do, but I've seen adults wearing them incorrectly or not at all. Shameful. - No enforcing mask wearing. I saw some girl stumbling around like she was on something and no employees told her to put her mask on. - Social distancing is fine, but I go to self checkout and avoid everyone lol. Best Kroger in the area, like I said. It's cleaner, less chaotic, and the staff are generally nice. Still think there's more they can do, especially in the pandemic.

The App is full of useless links to confuse customers. Why does Kroger promote gambling in the APP? I finally used Kroger PAY and left.

You do have to find a associate for them to let you in. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but not to bad. I asked an associate in the women's section for help but she told me to find help. Everyone I asked for assistance didn't work in that department. I gave up and just figured it out myself. The checkout lines moved pretty quickly. Whereas other Walmarts I've been in you can stand in line for 15 minutes until your ankles break down and give up on you!! So I appreciated that. They have several handicapped spots out front as well. The visit was decent. Check them out.
