I popped in for some St. Paddy's brews to celebrate this festive day and was met with an abundance of choice. I saw beers I didn't know existed and filled my cart with fun. Checkout was a breeze, with fully-staffed registers and zero wait. My checkout lady was so engaging, we chatted about our birthdays as she had recently had one and mine was coming up. They always keep it clean and the staff have always been very helpful. I also love that they have self service checkout, as I usually have less than a dozen items when I'm done. The only drawbacks I would say is that there seems to be lots of downtime with some of the refrigerated and frozen sections (frozen food doors don't always get closed all the way), and that the merchandise in the middle sections can sometimes get very well mixed up (especially any clothing).

The bakery section was filled with incredible pastries and cakes and sweet breads, donuts,Flans, churros... you name it, they've got it. They also have a full produce are with fresh fruit and vegetables and great prices. The butcher area was filled with a variety of meats for any style of cooking. Their spice aisle was amazing! I did not look much down other aisles otger than for a quick curiosity peek, revealing plates, religious candles, seasoning and spices. Many of the dry goods one would find in a full service grocery store. Two pounds of carne asada meat, one pound each of beef and pork sausage links, eggs, milk and off I shuffled to the counter. Although my Spanish is no bueno, the workers were so helpful and they did speak English, they made me feel welcome and appreciative of my business.

I get the feeling that the non-English-speaking employees, if not having outright resentment for American, English-speaking customers, could care less about helping them. The times I have shopped at this store and overheard two or more employees prattling on in a foreign language, usually south of border dialects, I can not begin to count. When, however, a customer needs assistance by asking in English, he/she may get a slight smile from the employee muttering in Spanish or very broken English that he/she has no idea of what you are asking him/her. The next time this happens, I have made my mind up to demand of that employee to fetch his/her supervisor so that I can complain further. By the way, this is not the only Walmart with this problem, as nearly all Walmarts in the Tri-county area have the same hiring practices----if one is brown and has mobility, then one is hired. Non-English-speaking individuals wanted/preferred.

This was one of the most cleanest Publix I've ever went to and loved just walking all through the aisles just observing the store. The shelves were clean no dust at all. They even asked if you needed any help finding things I guess because I looked lost because I was mesmerized. I wish I could move to Charleston because of the hospitality was so moving.
