Chiffon berry cake another time around
    Chrissy F.

I love when it comes to celebrations and folks rave about the cake and as usual the response goes, "thanks, it's Publix!" The bakery department pulls all the stops in making sure your cake is scrumptious when you order ahead of time. I even browse the wedding section cakes for their "naked" cakes because they look so pretty but can downsize to fit your celebration needs, not just for weddings. I like the fresh fruits, light whipped cream frosting, herbs like mint or sage. The signature cakes aren't overly sweet and truly elevate any occasion plus the best part about being an adult is having cake for breakfast or tasting your name in frosting haha I love the BOGO deals at Publix plus they carry some unique, hard to find items as well. I like perusing the international section for different meal ideas to switch up meal planning. Easy in and out plus their pharmacy is wicked fast. Had a quick turnaround time getting my flu vaccine plus they have the forms for your job to show the lot number and manufacturer which makes it easier for work requirements. Shopping is always a pleasure at your local Publix!

This is by far my favorite location. They always have the items I need and their sandwiches are pretty awesome. It's a super convenient location not too far from the Naval weapons station.

We love going to grab subs for lunch on Saturday. My go to is the Publix Italian, Provolone Cheese lettuce, Garlic pickles, banana peppers and Jalapeños. I love for it to have a lol kick yum!

Publix Super Market at St. James Shopping Center

Publix Super Market at St. James Shopping Center in Goose Creek is a well managed Publix location that has everything that you need for groceries and more. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here and their level of customer service.

How anyone doesn't love Publix is beyond me. From the second I walk in the door to the second I drive away smiling, I have had nothing short of a wonderful shopping experience. I walk in, there is a friendly person stocking something or other who greets me with a smile. I wander the store and am always impressed with the selection and reasonable prices. The meats, seafod, and produce are always super fresh. The seafood counter guys really know their stuff, and I am always bugging the poor produce dept with " where's this or that?". I am always helped out with a smile. Checkout is speedier than your average grocery store. There is always a bagger to take my groceries out without my having to ever ask as well! As a matter of fact last week I had 8 very full and very large canvas bags, and because it was thanksgiving week, and they were SUPER busy, and I am a fit 40 year old, I said that I'd just take my cart out without help... the bagger looked at me like I was silly, and insisted on helping me out. I wanted to kiss him!!! I will never shop anywhere else...EVER!

The worse delivery option instacart. Do not use it because of the box of chocolates theory. Shoppers are all different.

They have a taqueria, fresh hot food and an ice cream shop all inside this location. They also sell all your cooking essentials (pots etc). They has a section of "Dia De Los Muertos" alters etc. I didn't see it up close but I'm sure it was cool. It didn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in, it's like entering a mini food court. The food smelled amazing. The pan dulce looked fresh! Tons of seating available to sit and enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, I didn't try any food as I had a specific list to buy to make at home. I purchased marinated carne asada and items to make a salsa. The gentleman at the carneceria provided excellent service with a smile. The meat looked fresh I'm cooking it tomorrow so I hope it's delicious. I loved seeing the decor and browsing through on my way to check out. Overall, I found my go to Mexican Market when I'm in Charleston. PS. If you're from California/West Coast!... this place is the East Coast version of Northgate Markets & La Michoacána ice cream store combined on a smaller scale of course. Nonetheless, I like it!

Nothing pisses me off more than that, as I can handle the other problems, such as washing off my products when I get home. I get the feeling that the non-English-speaking employees, if not having outright resentment for American, English-speaking customers, could care less about helping them. The times I have shopped at this store and overheard two or more employees prattling on in a foreign language, usually south of border dialects, I can not begin to count. When, however, a customer needs assistance by asking in English, he/she may get a slight smile from the employee muttering in Spanish or very broken English that he/she has no idea of what you are asking him/her. The next time this happens, I have made my mind up to demand of that employee to fetch his/her supervisor so that I can complain further. By the way, this is not the only Walmart with this problem, as nearly all Walmarts in the Tri-county area have the same hiring practices----if one is brown and has mobility, then one is hired. Non-English-speaking individuals wanted/preferred.
