Really impressed with how well this store labels gluten-free and organic products throughout the aisles. It makes shopping so much less overwhelming when you can easily identify items without having to read every package in detail. We've discovered so many new products here because of the clear labeling and thoughtful organization. I feel so classy when I shop at Lowes lol came through for a quick dinner and saw the poké bowls up front. About the average prices in this day and age of things being costly. On Friday their beers flights are half off and a coworker shared how they do wine tastings !?? I'll have to look into that! The sausage area in the back has customized flavors great for the best bbq cookout. I like the variety of unique items they carry from sunflower butters to clip your own herbs in an indoor garden box. They also have a locals section which would be great for gift baskets. read more

Lowe's is my go to store for a quick bite or last minute groceries! My favorite thing at this store has to be the sushi! The tuna poke is delicious even though a bit pricey for store bought sushi. I'm not complaining though because it's very convenient! They also have a counter for beer! Not only can you purchase grocery, Lowe's food allows you to have an experience. While the food and lunch counters are great, the pre cut fruit is always a bit questionable. It usually looks rotten or it's not quite ripe enough! Their cashiers are very helpful and it's a very clean store. I think the store is on par with Publix and a great place to shop if you're local to the area! read more

It's now been a while since Lowes Foods took over the Bilo and I go there fairly often. Since my last review they completed the full renovation and it looks great. They have the beer bar, coffee, butcher shop, and even fresh herbs growing that you can pick. I still feel like the prices are pretty high compared to publix or teeter, but I know that going in and shop accordingly. The thing that gets me is that even with the high prices and the upgrades, I feel like the staff is still not at the level of service you expect when it comes to a higher end grocery. It isn't every time that I feel this way... sometimes it's great, but other times it's not. For example, on my last visit, there were a couple things that irked me. One was I went to the deli, which was very slow at the time, and asked for a pound of turkey shaved. He reiterated that it would be falling apart and I agreed that's what I wanted. I know it's more work, but if I'm paying $15 for a pound of turkey I feel like I should get it the way I want. When I came to pick it up, he started to let me know that it was sliced very thin and that's as thin as it would get on that slicer. That's not true because I've had it shaved properly here and if it is true then it's time to upgrade the slicer and fix the problem. I noticed right away because it wasn't a mountain on the counter like it is when you shave it. I asked if it was a pound and he looked and said it's .8 which is pretty close. Actually, .8 is more like 3/4 of a pound which is totally different. It was obvious that he didn't want to do what I was asking so I moved on. Then it comes time to check out with over $200 worth of groceries in a cart. We go up front and all the cashiers are closed and it's just self check out. Now I expect walmart to pull shit like that, but not at Lowes. And you may be thinking, it was close to closing and they always do that, but it wasn't. They were open for another couple hours. I asked the guy at self checkout and he said the only guy running registers was out getting carts at the moment. So we had to self checkout the entire cart. Obviously, I'm a capable adult and am competent check out my groceries and bag them, but I expect a higher level of service from a store like this compared to walmart or food lion down the road. That's why I'm here in the first place is for better selection and better service. read more

I recently had a concerning experience at the Lowe's location in Hanahan. I observed what appeared to be profiling of young adults who were simply trying to shop for items for a sleepover. The individuals were wrongly accused of intending to steal, and were threatened with police involvement. It is understandable to remind customers not to put items in their pockets (I would like to see a policy where this not allowed and asked to be showed a policy while be accused of stealing at check out), but it is unacceptable to use scare tactics and threats of arrest. Customer service skills should be reevaluated by Terri who tried to bully and scare two young boys who were shopping with their mother, in these situations to ensure a positive and welcoming environment for all customers, regardless of age. I was disappointed by the lack of intervention from the manager on duty, who seemed more interested in getting me out of the store than addressing the issue at hand. As a result of this experience, I will be exploring other shopping options in the area and will not be returning to Lowe's. I hope that Lowe's will take this feedback seriously and strive to improve their customer service practices in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. read more

First time getting a sub at Lowe's and I got the 12" Italian on white. Probably wouldn't do it again when compared to their other offerings. I tried my best to keep in mind this is a grocery store and not a sub shop. For context: I would give a PubSub probably a 7 or 8/10 most days. 1) Bread - 4.5/10: definitely not made day of, dry and acceptable at best. 2) Meat & Cheese - 7/10: it's nothing special or different although I'm taking a couple points for it being room temp rather than cold. 3) Lettuce - 7/10: same story as the meat and cheese; although, I will note the style of shred made it difficult for the lady to distribute well or maybe she didn't care. 4) Onion - 2/10: it was 1/4" cubed red onion? Strange eating experience but if you like bursts of onion maybe it's for you. 5) Salt, Pepper, Oregano - 4/10: the salt was a larger grain than I've ever had on a sub. Like the onion, strange biting into large bursts of saltiness. 6. Oil & Vinegar - 1/10: this is where I am dumbfounded. The lady pulls out a clear bottle of olive oil (the quality of which was noticeably low from color and it had an astringent taste) and a bottle of red wine vinegar. She then takes off the cap and pours it directly into bread in random spots. It never even had a chance to spread or meet any other ingredients. Just soaked up in the dry bread leaving soggy pockets of vinegar and oil. This was a somewhat egregious act in terms of technique and materials. Do better here if nothing else. A simple squirt bottle and better ingredients would get you up to an easy 10 which is what this category should be. I thought this was a good deal for the price. Wouldn't take much to bring this in-line with the quality you expect at a Publix or Subway. read more

This is the apex of grocery. Craft beer on tap, in house made specialty sausages, dry aged meat cut by the pound, and a "cakery" that will satisfy the sweet tooth in us. Newly renovated and now fully branded. Pricing seems to be on par with Publix. I'm willing to pay for a nice, clean shopping experience and that is what you'll get. Cup holders are standard in your cart so make the beer den your first stop. read more

The Tanner Plantation BiLo is now a Lowe's Foods. This was what we jokingly called "the snooty Bi-Lo" as compared to the Goose Creek Bi-Lo, now a Food Lion and that's a whole other review. This store continues the high quality of deli and produce items we knew this location for, all lovely and fresh. Prices seem about the same though I don't think I saw generic store-brand items in many categories. My eggs are Lowe's brand. They left the layout mostly the same, so it's not hard to find what you need. Get the app so you can use the online coupons; I got a 12-pack of Blue Moon for $11.99 after taking 3 minutes to set up the app with my new Lowe's member card. That's 1990s pricing! The registers were fully manned and moving swiftly, not more than 2 people in proper socially distanced lines, and the employees were smiling (behind their masks), friendly, and helpful. Hope it's not just new store smell or the holiday season and the great attitudes and service continue. They don't carry Canadian bacon, but they had cubed ham so my Christmas morning Eggs Benedict casserole will still happen. This store is right on my way home so I think this will be my regular grocery. Especially if they keep making with the beer coupons LOL read more

Lowe's is one of my favorite chains of grocery stores...I mean a beer while I shop?!? The store is set up very nicely and their produce selection is great. They could do a little improving for vegetarian selection but they usually have all the basics. Today there were a lot of things that were not available so I was slightly disappointed, but I think they are still recovering from the holiday season. This is further away then the Publix near my house but I still think it's worth it. read more

The more and more I go to this place I am finding the more and more there are rude employees that act like they can't be bothered. Older woman working self check out at 2 o'clock on October 13th... just rude and could not be bothered absolutely so rude. Hiding behind the counter avoiding questions did not want to be bothered it was very evident I was bothering her by asking her to do her job. I've now bought rancid meat at your store TWICE. Opened the package and putrid smelling meat within the expiration date. You are going to make someone really sick. My neighbor also said she bought rancid chicken. Mine was a pork butt. Your refrigerator is not cold enough or your turn over is not high enough. Either way. It's ridiculous. While I'm at it, the management of your deli section staff is pathetic. I've waited 30 minutes every time. Send your manager over to goose creek Publix so they can see how a deli operates. Publix has 3 or more people with smiling faces cutting fresh deli meat, wait times are like 5 Minutes. I am not returning to shop at your store. The employees when it was Bilo was completely terrible when Bilo was bought out by Lowes foods it I was looking forward to a change since I wouldn't have to go to Mount Pleasant anymore to grocery shop. The first week even though the store didn't really look like a Lowes Foods the staff seemed to be better even though they retained some of the staff from the old Bilo. That lasted maybe a week of the "wow the staff is great". Now it's back to the old Bilo type of staff waiting forever (2-5 mins) in you are in self checkout on an employee to come over as they are all crowded together talking by customer service talking. I don't ever want people to not have a job but I'm hoping when Lowes food does the full renovation they replace any old staff so that this store is more in line with the ones I've been going to since they first started with a nice helpful staff. Until then... what a bummer that I have to go to the one on 41 and I live in tanner plantation. read more
