I have been using storage here for a few years and it has been great! The first year, I had a 5x10 unit in the indoor hallway. Super easy to get to and lots of parking by it, plus there was a communal dolly in the hallway that we all kind of shared and it SAVED me. I wanted to upgrade to a 10x10 and found it to be easy. I will say- do not request to switch units until you are ready to move your shit. I had 24 hours between paying the difference and needing to be out, so be ready! This is more of a company policy than a note on this location. I love that I can access this location on an app. I hate getting out to type the numbers, esp in the rain, so this is super easy for me. One time my app and code weren't working, so I called and got no answer. Within a few min, I got a call back, and the owner let me know she was in a meeting but would do whatever she could to help me, including wait at the gate to let me in. I was able to get back in and get everything reset quickly with her and was SO grateful for the fast help. It's nice having someone on site to help so that I don't have to call the corporate number. The autopay is easy. I love the system. This is a great location for me and is super easy to park and get in and out of. read more

Everything was fine until they RAISED MY RENT $40 (From $107 to $145) WITHOUT WARNING. I was livid. Now I just went to pay my bill, and THEY HAVE RAISED IT AGAIN TO $170. Just a couple months after the last increase. WTF! I'm a single mom and cannot lift all the heavy furniture out of there to find a cheaper place. That price increase is absolutely insane. Avoid. The people are nice but DO NOT plan on it as long term solution- have a plan!! a 10/20 unit started at $315 in 9/23 and it has increased to $655 by 5/25. However, i could rent one tomorrow for $315--. ridiculous. customer service response is: "nothing we can do, it's a system generated price" . I rented a 10x10 unit at PS Woodinville in January 2022 for the introductory price of $132/month. It was increased to $186/month in July 2022. I just received notice that it will increase to $250/month on April 1, 2023. A 90% increase in 15 months for no additional services. A 10x10 unit is being offered now for the "low" introductory price of $150/month. A word to the wise before considering renting a unit here. read more

I really like the onsite manager and staff, they initially made it an easy decision to rent a unit with Woodinville public storage. When I signed our documents, Betty asked if I'd like to put my account on autopay, to which I eagerly agreed to since that is how I pay ALL of my bills. I like to set things up and not have to worry about them anymore. Fast forward to today and it turns out that something went wrong and Autopay was not, in fact, set up. I called and spoke to Deb after receiving a missed payment notice with a late fee and she contacted their District Manager, Jason Werschkul, to request a waiver of the fee. After hearing the entire story, he denied the refund. I was shocked. As a business owner myself, I know that $20 is not a mountain to die on, especially with a BRAND NEW client who could easily walk away and find another option. I plan the fight the charge, but wanted to warn others to be very cautious with Public Storage. The on site staff at the Woodinville location is amazing, but the company is a big bureaucratic organization that only cares about the bottom line. They don't care about you as a person, which means they might not care about your stuff either, and that's a scary thought for a storage company. If you have the ability to store elsewhere, perhaps with a smaller locally owned company, I'd recommend you go that route rather than deal with these shenanigans. read more

I should have checked other reviews first, I rented a 10x10 rent for 159.00 plus mandatory insurance 15.00 3 months into rent I was pumped up to 205.00 plus insurance.i have found another unit in a different location a 10x25 for 235.00 so needless to I'm moving before rent gets bumped up again which from reading other reviews it happens quite often. Great location. However, you will have to deal with extended gate malfunctions that last several weeks at a time. This will cause you drastically reduced access hours, and no notifications until you see a paper sign taped to the access control. And no reduction in rates. The staff is very nice, however, they are often misinformed of policy or enforcement. There has been no lighting in my unit for months now. And the staff has not scheduled an electrician after several attempts to have them do so. When I asked the site manager what I needed to do in order to exit one of two spaces, she told me to simply come in when I was ready. As it was after the auto-payment for the month had been pulled, she attempted to refund the remaining balance. Then she tried to accept a cash payment for the 5 days rent, but the failed too. She had me call the District Manager - Jason Werschkul to arrange the refund. He responded quickly to emails, but stated that the policy was to take the whole months payment. It's a shame that when the staff is misinformed the customer is the one that pays the price. So now I'll just keep using the spot for the rest of the month... read more

Public Storage is one of the more affordable storage options in the area and this is truly a get-what-you-pay-for situation. When you first sign up for your unit, they give you a cost per month and once you hand them your card they add on a bunch of fees that they don't tell you about: insurance, lock, maintenance, etc. In general, the customer service is sub par. There have been several incidents of gate malfunctions and you either can't get in or you have to go into the office, show several forms of ID (and if the unit is under someone else's name...your husband for instance...they won't let you in even with other proof that you own the unit too). A few weeks ago, a staff member called my husband at work to let him know that our storage unit lock was off and the door was wide open. My husband left work mid day and drove all the way there only to find out that our unit was secure. If you can find another location for the same price you should take it but if you just need a hole in the wall to store some stuff and have low expectations then this is your joint! read more

this is the first time I've ever used a storage facility. The experience renting at Public Storage was excellent. I spoke with a lady name Angi who was very personable and helpful and guided me through a tour of the facility which gave me confidence that my belongings were going to be safe. I ended up renting a unit, it was painless, and I feel even stronger about the fact that Angi lives on the premises and will watch over my prized possessions. I would recommend public storage and their facilities to all those in need of high-level security and proper storage of their personal stuff. read more

I've used this Public Storage three times in the last decade, and it's always been excellent. Downsides are small: some units tend to get dusty over only a couple of months (possibly a problem that's restricted to the units closest to the road?), the door seals do tend to be not in great shape, the driveways are usually dirty, so dirt gets tracked in. But, in comparison to other storage units I've rented over the years, this location is so much better overall. And the onsite help is fantastic. read more

She told me exactly how the process works and even broke down the monthly payment increase that I noticed all of a sudden on my bill statements! In all the years I have had storage units they have always pro- rated the charges moving in or out. I am so upset because I have to use my storage unit for an additional week due to the container I am purchasing to store my items at my house won't be ready until then and I let the manager at Public storage know and was dumb founded to hear I loose the whole months rent that I just paid(which I was told I had to to pay or be charged an additional $50 late fee). I don't know about you but I work to hard for my money to give it away like that!!! It's not like it's not going to rent again right away as it is a sought after size. Super disappointed! I have stored my things here for 4 years and my monthly payment went from $179 - $254. I paid with auto pay and never once had a late payment but when i went to cancel, it directs you to cancel your auto pay which i did. So my last month did not get paid on time and they enforced a $50 late fee. I even tried calling management and they haven't called me back. I will never recommend this place to any of my friends or clients! read more

Just moved to WA from CA and needed storage (chose the P.S. located on NE North Woodinville Way). Anji helped us pick out exactly the right sized storage unit and got us set up quickly. She is really friendly, and even better, has a lot of information and advice. She knows her stuff. The facility is clean, well maintained, well lit and easy to access. They also have a lot of moving/packing supplies on hand in case you don't! The cost is reasonable and the rules are simple to follow. They'll even set you up for auto bill pay, should you want it. read more

FYI......They do require a special key that you will have to buy from them for $20 and also require insurance with the lowest policy costing $15 a month. Very frustrating. The security gate has been broken for weeks and so there is NOT access to the facility until 9:00 PM each night through the security gate as promised. Had the big move planned, with helpers lined up and I get to the location at 5:05 PM and I am told that they are closing access today at 5:00 PM. I said, I know the business office closes at 5:00 PM but we are supposed to have access until 9:00 PM. She said that they couldn't do that because the security gate was broken. So I said that there is supposed to be somebody on site after hours, but she replied that the owner was on vacation for two weeks and that she could not open the gate for me because she was "off the clock". Wouldn't lift a finger to help. So the owner left on vacation with the facility having only limited access and didn't make arrangements for the staff to be on site to open the gate so that customers have access during the promised hours. We had to cancel the moving crew and people were not available to reschedule. Go with Woodinville Heated Storage right next door. 24/7 access and beautiful, clean facilities. I should have known better. read more

Dealing with Public Storage has proven to be extremely frustrating. I had a need for short term storage while traveling out of state. After procuring a space at a local facility the onsite manager insisted on a copy of state registration for the trailer. After explaining the paperwork was still in process and had not yet been returned the manager denied service due to "corporate policy." I was directed to speak with customer service who also cited corporate policy stating no exceptions are possible. It is unfortunate that Public Storage does not provide for exceptions to policies to allow for serving the customer and result in the denial of service. I have been forced to move on to a independent facility that is able to accommodate individual needs. read more
