I am so upset about the condition of my storage room. I had my Movers. We are all ready to move in and the storage room is in horrible condition. The roof is falling in the insulation is showing how embarrassing to rent someone a storage room in this condition I highly recommend no one attempt to get a storage room at this location. In touch with anyone there is no one at the front desk another person who has a storage room said there's no one ever at the front desk to talk to. The service is horrible. read more

I don't not recommend this specific storage unit! There is a terrible worker, an older woman with red hair that will constant come and ask if we are vacating the storage unit. Even if we are moving boxes in or out. I mention several times I am already paying the unit and will keep paying it. She has scoffed at me, and she continues to keep asking the same question. If we are moving things in she makes comments under breath. This is the worst storage unit to keep. You will be asked during every visit if you're vacating the unit and will be harassed. read more

We have used a variety of storage facilities over the years and this one is always at the top. It provides clean, dry, pest free units. Joyce is a dear, always polite and extremely helpful. You can usually get a special deal for your first month and the regular price is a good value. Public Storage has a great app that makes it easy to quickly rent, access gates and schedule move out. I would recommend Public Storage and specifically this location on Lexington in Sugar Land! read more

The senior lady was very rude and thought I was lying about my email and she was worried about my family helping thinking the were doing something wrong on the premises. Needed to move my stuff last minute to wait for my move. They was friendly and the process was quick and easy to understand they called to make sure I didn't have any questions. I was able to pay online and they left my lock in the unit for me. Even sent gate code to my phone and a map to help find my unit! Maggie was on point with everything for me!! She gave me the in's and out's on how things operate (access to enter and exit the property and my unit), how to set up my billing online versus having to come up there every month, and helped me out with my discounts The only issue I have is the lights not being on. There's one side of units that do not have operational lights. It's not a huge problem for me because I only go to my unit during daytime hours. read more

Ive been a Public Storage customer for less than a month. So far the experience has been ridiculous. I was approached today by the site manager Joyce Fisher. She expressed to me that we needed to have a little talk. Joyce went on to tell me that she has become suspicious of me at the storage place due to my early am entrances and my time being onsite. I told her I didnt understand what she was trying to tell me. Joyce explained that people run dope from their storage units and she has become suspicious and will be keeping an eye on me. Im tattooed and I ride a motorcycle most of the time. Joyce Fishers discrimination of me is uncalled for and ridiculous. My contract states that im aloud to enter the premise from 6am to 9pm. Nowhere on my contract does it state that in confined to a time limit while moving items in or out of my unit. I feel its important for all future customers to understand what to expect. read more

I rented a space on line. Easy! Joyce, the sweet woman who works there ( for 30+ years!) was very helpful. She knows her stuff! I couldn't leave 5 stars because the unit was not clean when I arrived and the lights don't work ( even with a new bulb ), but Joyce assures me she will notify maintenance.... and I believe her . :) Thank you Joyce! read more

They have a serious rodent problem! I now it is my problem to deal with! I opened my unit last week to find my things littered with rat droppings and chew marks. The ceiling is falling down and you can see where the rats are coming in. I am furious! I was told to file a report by the on site manager. I did. But,I still need storage space, I simply asked if I could move it into another unit of the same size, since I have paid for the month. And she said I would need to pay to rent another space- which is more than the price for the same size I have now?!? What? I have left multiple voice messages with the District Manager Kevin Thaker and no reply. They should at the very least allow me to move my things into a clean comparable unit without any additional costs. Oh, and clean up their rodent problem! read more

I have had a public storage unit at the Lexington Avenue location for 15 years. Joyce rented me my unit and she was very friendly and helpful getting me a storage unit. She was so wonderful that I referred a coworker to the facility four years ago. Every time I go to get or remove items from the unit, Joyce is very helpful. Recently, during a torrential rainfall, she lent me an umbrella in order to assist in my unpacking my stuff and moving it to the unit. I would highly recommend this location. read more

We have had a few issues with water leaking in during rainstorms, and the manager, Joyce was amazing at helping me to resolve it immediately. She explained what we needed to do with the insurance and claim submittals. She had someone come in to fix the roof/leak right away. She was also very helpful and accomodating at helping us to move to a new Unit. My childhood friend Judy was moving from California to Texas and needed to put her things into storage while she stayed with me and shopped for a new home. I found this Public Storage on Lexington which was just 1.2 miles away from where I lived. I had given my friend Judy the website address before she arrived, and she had reserved a storage area. But Judy needed to give the exact Public Storage address to her movers, so she asked me to go in and complete the transaction at Public Storage. I had a wonderful meeting with Joyce, who was so friendly and efficient. She took the initiative to ask how big the movers' truck was, and we came to the realization that Judy would need a different storage unit because the movers would not be able to swerve their big long truck around the corner to the unit she had reserved. I was so thankful that Joyce averted a potential disastrous mess by her insight and perception! Joyce helped cancel the initial reservation and then found the proper storage unit we needed, which was a straight drive in! She fixed us up as quickly as possible, clearly explained all the details of the transaction. then went to the trouble to walk me up to the entrance box where she made sure I knew how to enter my passcode. We then walked to the storage unit we rented, Joyce opened it up for me to inspect, and we put the lock on. I truly appreciated the great service I got, and I would highly recommended this Public Storage location to anyone! Love the $1 first month rental -- but do understand that if you have to purchase a lock you need to add $21 and you must also purchase insurance unless you have proof of coverage on your renters' policy with you at the time of rental, so add $11 to $15 to that dollar and also the $24 admin fee. All told, just under $58 for my first month's rental. So, while it's deceiving, it's worth it. Jane was great at explaining all of the ins and outs of renting at this Public Storage facility. She was knowledgeable and very much on top of things. I enjoyed her a great deal. I haven't actually moved anything in yet, but plan to do so slowly over the next few weeks. This location is more convenient than I ever could have hoped for and the indoor "climate controlled" building appears to fit the bill. We'll see how climate controlled it is in July and I may have to amend that rating. But for now. I am very pleased. read more
