I am writing this review after renting a storage unit for the last 6 months. I first want to…read moreprecedent that when I started my relationship with this facility, the man who moved me in was the friendliest and most helpful person. He fixed my door so it would slide better and provided an extensive tour. During move-in and move-out, one of the garage doors was broken, which was a significant inconvenience because it made it difficult to load the car from the most accessible access point. I had to carry heavy items through a tight space between the outside wall and fence, which ended up scratching some of my furniture. Second, my rent was increased by $30 without a direct notification. When I called customer service about this, they stated they notified me by mail that my rent was increasing. This was extremely annoying because the whole purpose of renting a storage unit was because I was moving and then traveling for the next 3 months. Therefore, I did not have a permanent address that I had regular access to. They had my phone number and email, which they communicated with me regularly. It felt very scammy that they "notified" me through the most likely form of communication that I would miss. Lastly, as I was closing my account, I tried to return my lock that they provided to me in the beginning. I was then informed that the lock is now mine, and no refunds exist. However, I explicitly remember the man who helped me move in stated that the lock was refundable and I could return it at the end of my time. Overall, working with this facility was frustrating. I felt there were more negative aspects than positive ones.

I went from a mid $30 unit to just receiving a postcard trying to take it up to low $100 unit. I see I share the same testimonials as many others. Diane in the front office couldn't have been more kind. She took me on a tour of the facility to see where my locker was going to be. She got me all setup with a free lock to use as well. She made sure there wasn't any questions I had with the paperwork. When I needed to change locker size due to needing to store more stuff, Diane was there to make the transition painless. She showed me where my new locker was going to be and made sure there were no questions left unanswered. The extra mile she went was much appreciated. The Facility is clean and well maintained. Plenty of moving supply options. The ability to rent their moving truck is a huge bonus. I would recommend them to anyone that needed a place to store their stuff.

Mark was particularly helpful in helping us choose the size unit that was right for her things, based only on photos I had taken of her things. He saved us even more money by recommending we take a 2nd floor unit in their temperature controlled building, since we would be going in/out a lot to the unit. Used their truck for a nominal fee to move the things into the unit, and once I got the hang of using the cart and elevator to bring things upstairs, all went well. I recommend using Storage Masters Chesterfield for whatever your outside storage needs are.

And he surveils the on-site folk with his office cameras. So, when you read about the on site mangers being great, they WERE. But they are gone. They also jack the prices up without notice - like Public Storage does. Facilities are just okay. Lots of spiders, insects, frequent webs, and they have had roof leaks. Floors dirty when we moved in. If the owner took a different approach with his corporate management of the place, it would have hope. By the way, the truck is not "Free". That is totally misleading. You can use it for one half day rental period and a limited number of miles. After that, it is costly and they require insurance add ons. Do NOT be misled into believing the truck is there for you to use for free anytime you need it.

If you're looking for a safe, convenient, and affordable storage unit look no further…read more I was in need of storing a few items and only needed a small unit for my items. I arrived at EZ storage and Gregory (manager) was able to provide me a unit. These units are all indoors and climate controlled. You need a special code to get through the gate/garage and your unit is inside. It's a drive-thru unit and so you drive your car in and then unload and take the elevator up. They provide carts for easy transport. Before I committed to the unit, Gregory brought me through the building and showed me the size of the unit and talked to me about the cost per month. Right now they are running a special so I was able to get 3 months for half price. I assume they have specials often so be sure you check. Gregory told me he lives on site with his dog so if there is ever anything going on he'll know about it. There are also multiple cameras around the property and inside the building. I'm really glad this storage facility exists. It's exactly what I was looking for!

My initial call with questions reinforced that they were professional, friendly and took pride in their place. They have lots of carts to use, easy drive in access to drop off stuff and cart it up to your unit, and clean, auto-lit corridors and storage units. We kept the unit over 2 years and there were a few times we were late on payments and they didn't treat you like a deadbeat - they just reminded you and we paid right away. I cannot think of one negative thing, and I am a pretty harsh grader - I don't just give away 5 stars to everyone.
