She took me on a tour of the facility to see where my locker was going to be. She got me all setup with a free lock to use as well. She made sure there wasn't any questions I had with the paperwork. When I needed to change locker size due to needing to store more stuff, Diane was there to make the transition painless. She showed me where my new locker was going to be and made sure there were no questions left unanswered. The extra mile she went was much appreciated. The Facility is clean and well maintained. Plenty of moving supply options. The ability to rent their moving truck is a huge bonus. I would recommend them to anyone that needed a place to store their stuff. read more

Mold! Had to throw everything away. When packing the truck to clean out storage unit, we found mold on everything. I called them and was told someone would call me back. No one did- we finished loading the mold covered items in the moving truck so we would not be charged another month. On our way out...The front desk employees then told us to file a claim we would need to return all items to the unit. For health reasons, We threw it away in a dumpster. The employees onsite were nice. We threw thousands of dollars away in furniture and they gave us two months credit :-( read more

Trifling crooks. Mice invaded unit and destroyed / tore up all my clothes, bed, couch. Total loss. They even went as far as to attempt to clean up the site while I was upstairs throwing a fit with them to make it look like I was lying. Stay away. Edit: forgot to mention the unit they leased me was defective with several holes and loose groundwork which was what caused my total loss. read more

We have used Storage Masters for the contents of my mother-in-laws house contents. We recently had an issue with our automated payment because the card expired. Melissa, the property manager was not in the office, but went back there just to take care of our issue. She couldn't have been nicer and made it very easy to just change the info and run the payment. We have never had an issue with this company and anyone we've dealt with at this company has been very pleasant to deal with. read more

Do not rent here! My daughter rented here for 2 years and her furniture is ruined....covered with mold. Storage Masters not returning her calls or giving her any information when she calls. While there recently, we talked to a man who said that he had a friend have the same issue a few months ago. Storage Masters did not help her. Inside units are not built for good air circulation. The site manager, Melissa is super easy to work with. She asks all the right questions when figuring out the size of the unit needed as well as if one needs a climate-controlled unit or not. She also made sure that the access code created worked before I independently used it. Loved the option of using their moving truck & other moving supplies at a 25% discount within 2 weeks of moving. I have used this location for several years and love it. The place is impeccably clean and I like the way they put little canisters of chemicals to control odor. There has never been an odor so may assumption is for cleanliness. I also like the fact that some of the units have a loft. The one I have rented has a loft and I could put so much more in it. Diane is very courteous and nice. She is always available to answer any questions. When I've been there the majority of the time I am stopped and asked if I want some water or cookies. On my birthday I get a birthday notification. They are always driving by the units to make sure they are secure and locked. I've used other storage units elsewhere and no one compares to the treatment given at this location. read more

I rented a storage locker at the St Charles, MO for my mother who's moved from a condo to an Retirement village in St Charles (Fair winds) . I had asked for info on line, but didn't get a reply, so I just went to the location in St Charles where I wanted to rent. The gentleman I talked to was very helpful, got me signed up as I knew the size we needed already. He informed me and helped me with the paper work, showed me the locker, etc. He gave me the lock for the locker, but forgot to tell me to put it on right away, so I held it for a few days as I thought we were moving things that weekend which got postponed. I got a phone call asking if I was done moving out & said, NO, we were moving things in, that's when I was informed to put the lock on even though it was empty. ****If I would change any thing, would put lights in the units as it's dark in them when they're down at the end of the isle. Thankfully the guys helping me were able to figure it out since they move a lot of people. read more

I lived in St. Louis nearly five years ago and have been working with many different storage units, this place is the last one I've had for about three years, and they keep my stuff safe, in air-conditioned unit. I've NEVER had any problems with them, they are always willing to help even considering most of the time I'm overseas. Set up automatic payment and you never have to worry. I will be with this place until I'm ready to move my stuff back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Why do I say that? Because I've gotten constant and harassing phone calls from them for over a year, which is particularly odd due to the fact that I: - Have no need for storage beyond what my apartment can hold. - Don't live in Missouri. - Have never even set foot inside a Storage Masters. Somehow these people got my phone number and think I can help them find the person who owes them money. Despite multiple explanations that I don't know this person, and can't give them any useful information, the completely inept site manager, Doug, keeps calling. His boss, Brian, is even worse. He justifies this blatant harassment by saying things like "it's just company policy, I can't do anything about the phone calls." When I ask who makes these policies, I'm told that he owns the company. Clearly we're getting nowhere. read more

My mom stored her stuff here for three months over the summer of 2018 while downsizing from the family home. Storage Masters had major roof leakage and by the time she went to collect her belongings, both of my mother's units were completely covered in black mold. Unfortunately, my mother signed a contract w/o reading the fine print, akin to accepting the terms and conditions on a web page, that basically limits her recourse to $7500. Suffice to say that won't put a dent in the damage nor will it replace the priceless stuff like photo albums, family heirlooms and everything else near and dear to her heart. The facility has been nothing short of irresponsible and unwilling to make it right. I've only given them one star here as there is no 0 star option. You'd be better off storing your stuff under and overpass on 270. read more

I shopped all over for a climate-controlled unit for books and documents that I'm storing. Storage Masters had my unit size available. Like most storage places, the price on the web was better than the price they quoted when I visited so always check website for best deal. Amy & Diane were very polite and professional. Took their time showing me the unit and explaining how things work. Price includes lock. And there was no admin fee like some other places. The facility was clean. I like that there is a restroom you can use during office hours. My only concern was that when I went back the next day to move in more things, there did appear to be mice droppings on the unit floor. I immediately bought some mouse killer bait boxes & did tell the office. They said they would let maintenance know, but they recommend that everyone put some kind of mouse repellent or trap in their unit. Probably good advice no matter where you are storing stuff. These were the nicest ladies that I talked to in my search for a storage unit. read more
