I rented unit #126 from April 2024 to December 2024. An employee named Blake Borders accused me of putting a stick in the gate one day and not punching in my access code in order to sneak in, which I never did. Also, an employee stole my lock one day to illegally make a copy of my key and on different occasions, stole my birth certificate, debit cards, and state ID's out of my unit. I later found out that I was being illegally recorded here (I'm not talking about the cameras they have all over the place to legally record everyone. I'm talking about I was individually illegally recorded at all times, even in the restroom, where there are no cameras.) I'm currently in the process of having the FBI and US Department of Justice investigate this place. I'd suggest you go elsewhere if you want to keep your belongings safe. Also, the front gate wouldn't work a couple times when I needed to access my unit in order to get my work clothes, which almost made me miss work. read more

(((( SCAM ALERT)))) Public Storage uses highly manipulative and deceitful sales tactics to rush you into making decisions and accepting FREE insurance whereby you are then locked into a contract and have to jump through hoops to get out. The call center rep claims: "Hurry...Hurry...Hurry.... storage units are renting fast"....meanwhile the rep tries to slam me into a lawyered up contract agreeing to accept their "FREE insurance for 1 month ... but then requiring me to jump through hoops .. after I sign the contract....to get out. She warned me the computer was timing me out if I did not hurry and the storage locker would be gone if I did not agree to their terms and conditions....so I declined to rent storage. I don't need insurance for boxes containing papers. After getting all of my personal information, she notified Public Storage office on Watson Road that I had a reservation for storage. The lady that works in the office called me about my reservation. I informed her I had no reservation and asked who told me I had one, she said she did not know. Another tactic these big companies use to scam and deceive people. The right hand does not know what the left is doing. This is one of many big companies that uses manipulation, deceit and scare tactics coupled with lawyered up contracts. I recommend to STAY FAR AWAY from Public Storage. The rep also told me they can raise prices whenever they want. What a horrible way to do business. Public Storage has terrible reviews on the internet. That's KARMA! Would give zero stars if I could. Don't be fooled by the initial price for rental, within months of moving, I received a price increase. Two increases during the pandemic!!!! Also during the entire length of my rental I had no lighting. Each time I inquired, I was told the light bulb was in the process of being replaced. It never happened. I called customer service, the 800, and left several messages on a regular basis to please have the light bulb replaced. No one ever called me back until the day I ended my contract. I received another price increase for an additional $25, taking my monthly payment from initially being $158.00 a month up to $230 in less than 1yr and 1/2 and my unit was in the dark the entire time. I refused to pay another month, I received a call from the district manager after closing out the agreement. He explained issues with replacing the light and said he'd check my account and see what he could do for me and call me back. Well that never happened and it's going on a month. I called and left a message just to be fair because things happen. Well, I didn't receive a return call from that either. Do not use this location, customer service is horrible, no one knows anything and you will only be routed back to this location when trying to speak to someone higher or at a corporate level. read more

7/13 So I reserved a 10×10 1st floor unit here (132/mthly) and when I went to do an early check in, I found out my reservation had been cancelled. I had never received a notification of it. This was the day before my move. I tried to reserve it again but it didn't show the unit I wanted available. I called asking what happened and was told that they had no clue why I had not been notified of the cancellation but that another person had been given my unit because that person was having issues with her current unit. It was explained current customers were given priority over reservations. (Okay fair enough) So the agent made a new reservation. Later in the day I had planned to check out the unit but got caught up. So I went into my email and saw they had given me a 10x10 (177/mthly)but it was 35 dollars more than the 1st floor I had originally reserved. I ended up reserving a larger unit 10×15 because they had a half off 1st months rent special that the other 10x10 units had not had. I went ahead and did an advance check in. 7/14 @ 7:47 am I receive an email stating We were looking forward to seeing you on 07/14/2019 to get your lease signed and move you in. They don't open until 9:30 am so how was I supposed to check in before they open?!? On top of that they do this the day of my move???? Obviously they don't want my business... and now I had to reschedule my movers last minute. This place is awful and if you want to be screwed around.... then here is where you want to be. read more

Would be nice if the restroom were open in my storage space building. It was easy to save, rent and pay for my 5x5 space on line.

After getting what seemed a great deal turned out to be a charge after another. I originally got it for the first month to be only $1 and $24 to process. Come to find out I had to pay additional $20 for a lock, that should be including in the unit. Not only that, a week later I got charged $8 for rent? just keep adding charges. Moving my stuff out at the end of the month. Would never recommend! read more

I reserved a 10x15 unit a week before our set "move-in" date and was super excited to receive 50% off the first month! They proceed to contact me 3 times via phone to confirm the reservation. They also contacted me 3 times via email to confirm. We went to move in on our designated move in date. Upon our arrival, we were told the unit we reserved was not available but a larger unit was available for $100 more a month. I asked if we could get the larger unit for the price of the original reservation because the original unit had a work order on it. We were told that the price was locked in and they couldn't do anything about it. I am sure this bate and switch work and I feel terribly for those people that fall victim to it. Horrible business practices and even worse customer service. read more

Do not...I repeat DO NOT (is bold type and italics an option here?!) rent space here or at any Public Storage location. If I could give negative stars I would. I rented a space for two months and it was the worst experience from the moment I walked into the office the first time. The staff is incompetent and clueless, and at times rude. The upper management group refuses to answer the phone but when forced to they do not properly address issues but instead ensure that they perpetuate. I have overpaid by nearly $150.00, which they refuse to refund to me and on top of that they sent me to collections. For what? For an account that reflects a zero balance but, again, is overpaid. No one seems to know anything, including why we were sent to collections for an account with no balance (they won't acknowledge the overpayment). But no one seems to want to do what's necessary to fix it, either, so we just keep getting passed around from person to person, none of whom answer the phone and when they finally do they just play dumb. The staff in the office isn't worth even talking to, because they literally know nothing more than how to show you where the units are and how to open the gate. Learn from our mistake: DO NOT RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE. read more

I made reservations by phone and rented a space back in Novemeber. I explained to them that I was disabled and needed a unit near the door. The original place I signed up for when I got there was not close enough. So the lady called over to this place and explained the situation to them and they stated they had one right by their side door. I left that public storage and went over to this one and signed up. Today, I go to my unit with movers to move stuff out that I had given away and I hear commotion outside. I go out to see what is wrong. My movers are being harassed by the "property manager." They were asked to moved. I tried explaining my situation to her and that I was told we could use this door and she said no. I told her we were done and we were leaving. We had already been there for some time. I guess we did not leave fast enough and she was ANGRY, billergent,and down right nasty. I come back later that evening to put my new stuff in my unit and find that my gate code would not work. I get home and going through emails and find that she closed my account without my permission or knowledge and took possession of my unit that I "paid" for for the month. Would not recommend them at all. Overall, awful experience. read more

The storage is convenient, and the size is what I wanted. The manager and other staff seem nice and no problems with them. The only thing is whomever owns Public storage, always raises the rent on you after you have been there for three months. They get you in, but as soon as you've been there for about three months they raise the rent on you. Not right! I've rented from Public storage before and they always do this and other people I know said the same thing. So be warned if you want to rent from Public storage. read more

I got amazing customer service from Kim! She helped me find the perfect solution! She also helped me carry all of my boxes to my car!

We needed boxes, tape and newsprint to pack up our kitchen while a new floor was being installed. Kim the manager made useful suggestions, helped me lug the boxes to my car and load it up. She cheerfully assisted me when I had to return some boxes for a different size. read more

The facility is clean, the management is helpful, and the check in and payments are easy.

I would highly recommend this facility for your storage needs. The Property Manager (Kim) went above and beyond the call of duty to assist with the needs that we had. I wish that there were more people in the world that would go out of their way to make things right for others! read more

Although this Public Storage didn't have a unit available to accommodate our needs, Kim (the property manager) was still extremely helpful. She took the time to call other Public Storage facilities in the area and help us find a solution. Although Kim and the other gals are always very helpful, pleasant and willing to assist, I found that I was not the informed consumer I thought I was when my unit hit the 6 month mark. When I rented my unit we were in the midst of clearing our family homestead, so we were all under a great deal of stress, having lost both parents. I do not recall being informed that the rent was subject to increase every six months. When I called to inquire, I was told I was sent an increase notification at my current address two months ago. I did not receive it. So you begin to get suspect regarding the extent of the customer service they are offering. Having called into the company's customer service number, I spoke to a very rude and direct employee Kevin, who could care less whether I was misinformed. The bottom line: this location is near full to capacity and moving renters in and out increases their profit margin because they can charge a higher starting rent with each new client. Kevin bluntly told me, all storage facility companies operate this way. He offered no apology, no explanation regarding not having received the notification or kind demeanor. This is the first time we every had a need to use a storage facility. Buyer beware! read more
