Do not use this company!…read more I trusted them to take care of our belongs as they seemed to be a reputable company. They seemed easy to work with and after just having a baby we wanted movers that were hassle free and trustworthy. (They broke a dresser and a rocker from the nursery) They are fine so long as your expectation is that you just want your items delivered. If you expect them to be in the same condition as they left your house, that's where they fall short. They broke several items and when you file your claim, they initially send you a rather intense email about how it's better to settle for $500 than continue with the process. We chose to continue as our items were worth significantly more than $500. We have now received an offer of about 30-50 cents on the dollar. And 1 item they will not reimburse for because I can't prove that the mid-century modern record counsel was working before they smashed it. Even though I have a photo of the top open right before the move. Long story short- if you do use this company, take photos and videos of all of your belongings to insure that you aren't left with nothing at the end. Or faced with spending even more money to replace the things they broke. They are very expensive and I thought I was hiring a company that stood behind their work. I apparently did not. I am still trying to figure all this out, but it seems to me that if you hire movers and buy insurance you should not be out even more money to replace your furniture that they broke.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY AGAIN!!!! When I made the choice to rent a unit, I was…read moreassured that the company protected your items from bugs, rats, etc. I was also informed that they required a $25 dollar deposit in case of damage to the unit or lock replacement. They then informed me that upon vacating, all I needed to do was give the unit a light sweeping, turn in my lock and key, and within two weeks I would have my deposit back. However, after I vacated, and removed my things, over half of my items were infested with bugs. Almost all of my boxes had evidence of mice chewing through and living inside of them. The bottom of my couch and love seat had been torn into and you could hear the mice feces rolling around in my furniture when we moved it. I contacted the company about the damages, and they refused to take any responsibility. I accepted my loses and just forgot about it. However, my last straw came after waiting a month, and I had not received my deposit. Upon calling them they stated they were not going to refund my deposit, because they found miscellaneous trash in my unit. My movers made it a point to sweep out the unit for me. When I stated these facts, they still refused to refund my deposit. When I asked why someone had not contacted me regarding this matter, they stated it was in my contract that they did not have to do it. So, I sat around waiting for a deposit that was never coming. They are very unprofessional. They seem to offer competitive prices, but when you actually realize they do not offer the services they claim they do, you realize you are wasting your money. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

They keep bugging me to review, so I will!…read more I used them for about 6 months, I got a 6x12 unit I think and paid $69 a month and the month I vacated they gave everyone a wholesale increase in rent - mine went up to $75. I'm not sure how often they do this but it did happen to me once. The contract type you have here is month-to-month which I liked because I didn't know how long I wanted the unit. Unlike U-haul storage and some of the other places, ALL of these units are ground floor and drive-up accessible which makes it the easiest to load/unload your items right into or out of your vehicle. It's also open 24/7, 365 which many other places don't have. Staff was always nice. The only weird thing I didn't like was the weird plaster material that the walls on my unit were made out of, they chipped very easily and created a lot of particle dust in my unit. There were some spiders in my unit too, but that's not preventable I feel. If you think you'll get a unit here, ask them to give you the 2nd month free, they did it for me. I would rent a unit from this place again.

We used Storage Masters Chesterfield to store items from my mothers home when she moved to senior…read moreliving in Chesterfield. Mark was particularly helpful in helping us choose the size unit that was right for her things, based only on photos I had taken of her things. He saved us even more money by recommending we take a 2nd floor unit in their temperature controlled building, since we would be going in/out a lot to the unit. Used their truck for a nominal fee to move the things into the unit, and once I got the hang of using the cart and elevator to bring things upstairs, all went well. I recommend using Storage Masters Chesterfield for whatever your outside storage needs are.

And he surveils the on-site folk with his office cameras. So, when you read about the on site mangers being great, they WERE. But they are gone. They also jack the prices up without notice - like Public Storage does. Facilities are just okay. Lots of spiders, insects, frequent webs, and they have had roof leaks. Floors dirty when we moved in. If the owner took a different approach with his corporate management of the place, it would have hope. By the way, the truck is not "Free". That is totally misleading. You can use it for one half day rental period and a limited number of miles. After that, it is costly and they require insurance add ons. Do NOT be misled into believing the truck is there for you to use for free anytime you need it.
