I'm new to owning a storage unit. I'm slowly growing out of my apartment and needed some space for decorations and family photos. I was able to reserve and purchase this unit online. With the app I was able to access the property, but there was no door code anywhere. This is where my only complaint comes into the situation. It's a very smooth process, but not having a code for the door took up about 20 minutes of my time. I couldn't get ahold of anyone at the property. I left a voicemail and nobody returned my call. Customer service is pretty much non existent. I asked the automated system to text me my codes and thankfully I received a door code. I was able to get in and access my unit. It's small, 5 x 5, but it's perfect for my needs. The location is very secure and clean. read more

Are use Public Storage in Renton when I had to move out of condo I was renting and it needed to store my stuff until I got a new place to live I ended up renting actually two different storage units in that same complex. They always increase pricing after telling you it will remain the same for monthly payments. At least this location I do not recommended.

I had some bulky heavy shelves to move, and needed a truck with a lift-gate so I could get them into storage. With a 16 foot box truck, it was nearly impossible to unload with this facility. The roads are all deeply slanted, and the drive up units have a 2 inch step. Great for keeping the rain out, but because the area between storage units is barely 25 feet... maneuvering a truck to be perpendicular to the unit was an awful chore. Oh, and the 10x20 units are not 20 feet deep.. more like 18 feet usable. Because it took a stupid amount of time to get the truck lined up so the lift gate could reach inside the unit to clear the 2" lip of the slab (rolling heavy carts into the unit over that lip wasn't an option), we were there much longer than planned. I don't think I'll sign up for storage without seeing it in person going forward. But the kicker, and the reason for two stars... if you leave the facility a few minutes after 5PM... still broad daylight mind you... they will send very rude emails and text messages warning you to leave BEFORE 5PM! Which, is fairly absurd if not unreasonable and only makes me regret renting from this place. I think I'll make an effort to get moved out sooner than later. I hope their aggressive policy makes sense to others, because it doesn't work for me. Poor accessibility, misleading dimensions, and unreasonable access hours do not justify the rate they're charging per sqft. read more

We recently rented a unit at this location. Super clean, safe and great location! We were able to complete the entire process online. We ended up buying the lock from Public Storage, cost was only a few dollars different than if you bought it at Home depot. They also have carts to loan to move your boxes to your storage unit. read more

Signed up for a 10x10 storage unit for $110 a month in January, here I am 8 months later and magically the cost of the unit has increased to $156 a month. Not to mention, you only have access to your storage unit when the office is open. I imagine the access hours are probably due to a large amount of break ins and peoples things getting robbed and broken into but it def is inconvenient. I am trying to get the rest of my things out of the storage to eliminate the bill. careful with them and pay attention to the fine print, i have no clue how the price jumped $40 but its just ridiculous read more

My wife and I are in the middle of moving and have been trying to access our storage units between the hours that the availabilities listed. There have been multiple times now where we're trying to access our units, and are unable to. I recently received a phone call from the manager saying that we left our unit unlocked, but we were locked out at 5:45 p.m. when the unit availability goes until 6:00 p.m. The manager then told me I had to come lock up my units before 2:00 p.m., well before the accessibility time ends. We are trying to work within the times listed for this location, but have found that the manager seems to be able to make up the hours as she pleases. This is been a very upsetting experience. Moving is already stressful, and this public storage location is making things even worse. read more

Not very secure. Had a catalytic converter stolen from a truck which is used only one weekend a month. So not very secure. After initial phone call letting them know what happened and their "I'm so sorry"response, had no follow up call regarding any reviews if their camera tapes. Rent increases after two months so don't depend on whatever rate you are quoted to last long. read more

The hours are pretty restrictive, they close at 6PM during the week and 5 on the weekends. These hours make it difficult if you work till five every day. If i'd of known this prior to signing, I'd of looked for one that closed a lot later or open 24 seven which is ideal. That being said the two young ladies that helped me were very polite, kind and understanding. read more

Scary unsafe!! Do NOT recommend. Access hours are during most people's work day. Staff is rarely there and unhelpful when they call you back 24 hours later. Was told 1 car per access and don't let strangers follow in behind you "for safety reasons". Got off work early to get there by 4pm. Guy in car behind me wanted to follow in so I stopped waiting for gate to close. Another guy pulled in behind him and started honking his horn. The 2 guys chatted and then approached my car aggressively telling me to move. It was 4pm and no one was in the office when they are suppose to be there till 6pm. Tried to call and it's all automated. Left message and got a response next day telling me the guys had put in their codes and I was yelled at and told I was being difficult. If the gate doesn't close how do I know if they actually have a code or are typing random numbers? Then was notified via email that someone was trying to access my account 4 times. Changed my password. Grateful my address is a PO Box and not my home address! Don't trust guy that works there and trying to relocate my stuff ASAP!! read more

This location is by far the worst facility you could possibly ever see. The staff is beyond rude. and extremely untrustworthy. The manager and the district manager who i believe are drug addicts, have some sort of inside gig going on or something because they pop locks off peoples units go through your personal belongings then replace it with there lock until you return and then proceed to force you into buying a new lock. Other tennits have reported same thing happening to them one stated that he replaced the lock only to return a few days later to the same thing all over again and said several items were missing that he had just droped off just a few days ago. Also, BEWARE Caution using any kind of credit cards here the manager has a little flower covered notebook where she writes everyones numbers in. I have had to change my card number several times due to suspicious transactions. I now have new number she has never got and all the activity has came to a halt. As others have said, be careful here. Laura is very apologetic but she has no say in anything and everything goes through the district managers who won't call back. They jack rates to an unreasonable amount after you move in but worse is that don't fix things when broken so you could be locked out of your unit for a month which is what happened to me and they still bill you. Our roll up door was damaged and so instead of fixing it they boarded up the unit with the no explanation or time frame on when it will be repaired. Laura is an angel - totally responsive, customer focused, and amazing. I used this unit for about six months and never had one issue/problem. Quite the opposite - it's the best storage facility I've ever used during my many moves. Not one indication of any theft, break-ins or inappropriate use of my information. WARNING DONT EVER USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. This place is by far the biggest scam of a storage facility I have ever seen. First of all they suck you in with their pricing on their website and then when you sign up for a unit they start jacking the price up as you go. We signed up for $118 plus $15 for insurance on the 10×10 unit. We only paid a $1 for the first month special. We paid $133 for our second month which was what we signed up for and then the increases started. The third month our bill was $174 and at the time it wasn't a big deal. We paid that for the forth month also. When it was time for our next payment we received a document in the mail saying our rental fee is being increased to $198. I went in to talk to them and they told me this is around the time I should of received my rate increase. I asked why they don't tell us about this when we sign up for the unit. She didn't have an answer to my question. Don't make the same mistake we did. DON'T EVER WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. ITS A JOKE, SCAM AND VERY MISLEADING. I have been at this Public Storage for about a year and I highly recommend this place. They were very helpful when I came to rent a storage unit. Showed me several and made sure I got the size I needed for my storage needs. They made sure that I got the best deal also. Recommended to check the web for special before i signed to make sure I got the biggest bang for my bucks. Saved money! Since I have been renting from them they have always had a friendly smile when I pop into the office with a question or to pay my bill. I also like the fact that I can pay on-line also. If you need to store your items or car or household this is the place to go! Caring and friendly people with great customer service, awesome location and easy hours of access. I used this storage facility for six months. The office staff was always friendly and helpful. I researched other similiar facilities in the area and found this one had much better reviews and no break-ins reported. The unit was spotless upon move in and there was never any signs of rodents. I was disappointed that the lock and keys that they require you to buy from them are not returnable at check-out. I would recommend this facility. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here. One of the storages a few doors down from mine was broken into and a lady lost her flat screen tvs and when she went to ask the manager what to do they just said to call the cops. They have no security besides a gate and fences etc. but no cameras inside or outside (only at the gates) I've decided to move my stuff to another storage. read more

The people working there are nice but the unit i have is not. There are no gutters and when it rains which is practically every day in Washington I can not get into my unit. There are no gutters and when it rains there is a waterfall over my door, which means I can not open my unit door unless i want everything to get soaked and my self included. read more

The people are very helpful... The place is clean and easy to get to... But the prices are extremely high (and they keep going up). Also, when they were doing some remodeling, everything in my storage was covered with tons of dust... I was a little upset to say the least. read more

Laura was very fast and helpful and she made the paper work go smoothly. My only complaint is the the door closest to my storage unit is missing the outside door nob so I have go further down the facility to get in and then walk back the other direction to get to my storage and then open the door with the missing nob and prop it open. Laura said there was a work order put in to fix it but 2 weeks later it was still not fixed so I can only hope that it gets fixed before I go back there again. read more
