Service here has always been pretty kind the few times that I've needed help, and they've always been super responsive if I need help getting payment links reset or changed. Parking lot here is a little on the small side but I've never been here when it's been crazy busy. They also have dollies to use which is always helpful for getting things to and from my car! Will definitely continue to give them my storage business as a result of years of positive experiences! It's a little farther than I would like, but it's easily accessible when I'm on my way up to Seattle anyways, so I make it work.

For the first several years, things were fine -- mostly because of Nicole, the former manager who actually cared and knew what she was doing. I also had 24-hour access, which was essential for me because I store expensive tools I use for work. I got this unit specifically because of that 24/7 access. But once Nicole left, everything went downhill -- fast. Suddenly my on-time payments weren't being recognized, and I started getting flooded with emails and calls claiming I hadn't paid. Totally false. Then came the spotty access. Sometimes I'd get off work and be locked out of my unit for no reason (code wouldn't work). For someone who depends on secure, reliable access -- this was a nightmare. I had always paid at the end of the pay cycle -- and Nicole never had an issue with that. But after years of doing things the same way, I decided to adjust my payment date to avoid the drama. I even paid extra to cover the shift in date. What happened? I showed up, and my unit was locked. To top it off, the new guy working there had a major attitude problem. Didn't explain anything, didn't apologize -- just walked over, unlocked my unit in silence, and walked away like I was the problem. For the last 2.5 years, it's been pure chaos. Constant employee turnover, staff who don't know what they're doing, and a total lack of customer service. It's like they're running a revolving door operation over there. I've since moved to a much better storage facility -- indoors, cleaner, more professional, and half the price. I should have left years ago. Until Storage One at Benson gets its act together and starts hiring competent, respectful staff, do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. If you value peace of mind, reliability, and decent customer service, this is NOT the place for you.

I'm a general contractor and have a licensed electrical and plumbers on call. There were times we needed access to our expensive equipment we don't leave in our vans in the middle of the night. They stopped that. My rent for a single vehicle went from $80 to $140 in 3 years. My rent on my unit went from $320 to $485 in 3 years. They hire a guy named Perry . Caught him inside my unit one day as I went to use the bathroom they use to have on site. Those are gone!! I said bro what are you doing? He's like I saw your motorcycle and had to come check it out. A few months later I walk inside the office to pay the rent and see a new desk, office chair, filing cabinet, bookshelf. I'm like what?!! This all looks so familiar. Well come to find out it was all mine from one of my units I was renting with bud and Jacky. Somehow the paperwork was lost and there were several units he didn't know the occupants. Rather than emailing everyone or calling he cut all the locks and kept the stuff. I started seeing all my teak wood out on the porch , my bike, my outdoor table and chairs. I called my contract attorney and he explained they would probably win in court . Like tow companies there is such a grey area they can manipulate. Now it seems it's all about being a corporate locations and charging as much as possible. They use to provide a good value but don't any longer. Look out how the paving situation was handled or the broken gate that just sat for months on end. It's really sad. Now I will say Jessica is super kind and has always been cool with me . None of this review represents her and the other girl that's her sidekick. This is just me being honest after being there since 2012.

I have my identity jacked once and refuse to let it happen again. Anyway I show up today 8min till 4pm . Thats what time they close on sunday. I get there,the same time as another customer who i believe was getting unit.. I could be wrong . So I tell the kid I want to pay my storage I get my cash out and hes says" we dont take cash " im like what what do you mean you dont cash ? Then hes says were closing . Im like so . Ive come in at 4oclock on the nose before and paid it with no issues. Now today I cant today because of some kid is lazy .. he says we dont take cash 10min before closing .. but youll help the other chick get a storage unit. Seems like that would take a lot longer then just opening up the till and taking my money . Just saying . So I leave with out complaing . I figured ll go through some shit in my unit so driving out there wasnt a lost cause . Thats when I discovered they locked me out of my unit .. my contract says till the 10th before they lock you out.. today is the 8th . Keep in my mind i pay my storage fee over everymonth by $70 or $100. Just incase something like this happens . In the 15 plus years ive been there ive been a good customer . Im always on time but the one time and that was 10years ago .. ive never complained about anything even after my unit was broke in to 3 years ago and my door still isn't fixed properly. It is nice to know that the poor attitude of one employee at the Tacoma location does not reflect on the rest of the Daffodil Storage company* We initially signed up at this location. Everything seemed fine. Then, we made a late payment. We called the 1-800 number to make the payment, and we were told that the late fee would be $20+. We were extremely surprised as the late fee that was listed on the agreement we signed, was nearly half that! We go in to the Tacoma location. We ask Sherry why a late fee is being assigned to our account that is nearly DOUBLE what was stated on our agreement. First, she makes up some story that we were on a "promotional agreement, and that the charge is not due to a late fee increasing, but due to the fact that our promotional agreement has now expired, and we are on the regular pricing now." We explained to her that we never had a promotional agreement, and that the 1-800 representative was telling us that there was a $20+ LATE FEE. So, then she proceeds to tell us that that our late fee was always $20+, and that we are lying about the late fee being lower before. So we decide to call her bluff, and asked for her to bring our agreement to the front desk. So she brings only 1 page of our contract to the front desk (the one that states what our late fee is supposed to be). We point out to her that the agreement states that our late fee is supposed to be MUCH lower than $20+. She then looked very confused. Started clicking around on the computer. Then she said that we have a "very old agreement" (at that time we had the storage unit about 6 months) and their fees have since changed. She says that our original late fee was a flat rate, whereas, now the late fee has changed to 25% of our monthly rental amount. We told her that it seems odd that she wouldn't be aware of such a recent change until the moment we called her bluff with our agreement. She explains that it is because our agreement is "very old" (6 months to be exact). She says they made an attempt to inform us of the recent fee increase by sending us a letter. I told her we Never received a letter. She then clicks around on her computer again and states that "the letter was returned because you didn't give us your complete address on the rental agreement." So we decide to call her bluff again, and asked to see the full rental agreement. She then shows us, and our address is correct. She then gets even more of an attitude (she had an extremely rude tone this whole encounter). She says that even IF our address is correct, they are not required to notify us of late fee changes. She said it's only a courtesy. I told her at the very least, they could have called us. Because otherwise, it's very poor customer service. After MUCH debate, we had her credit us the difference for the late fees. Seems odd to me that her story changed THREE different times before she finally admitted she was wrong. Well, today (several months later), I drive up to Daffodil. I drive up to the gate. There is someone in front of me entering the gate. They go through the gate (stopping immediately in front of the entrance). This holds the gate open. Since the gate is being held open, I figured it must be a customer driving in, that isn't aware there is someone behind them. So I honked to let them know I'm behind them, and they still don't move. The gate is still opened, so I decided to drive around them. I attempt to drive around them, and all of a sudden Sherry jumps out of the vehicle, screaming, waving her hands in front of my windshield, screaming "STOP! STOP!" I roll down my window, realize it's an employee trying to stop me front getting in. She says "you're beefing at me when you didn't even enter your f*cking code!!!". All I did was honk once because I thought a customer was blocking the gate. And she shouldn't be speaking to customers that way. I responded accordingly and told her to watch her f*cking tone." I told her, the gate was opened so I thought I could drive through. She's screams at me to enter my code (despite the gate being opened still). I enter my code and she finally moves out of the way. I don't know what entering my code solved, considering the gate was already opened, lol. Little does she know, I entered the code incorrectly. She then proceeds to call my husband on the phone to tell on me. Luckily, I had already spoken to my husband, and he knew the whole story. Sherry stated "I had a verbal altercation with your wife. She was very verbally abusive and needs to enter her code every time she comes onto the property." My husband stated, "you verbally attacked her first, and we will be writing a letter to corporate about all of your past behavior." She then proceeded to deny her behavior completely.
