Someone trying to cut through the lock to our storage unit. Now we can't access our belongings. Super frustrated.

Someone tried to break in to our storage unit to the point we cannot open it and the management doesn't to care. Said we had to wait up to two weeks to get the lock cut off so we can access our stuff.

This is one of the worst storage units I have ever experienced. We have a 3rd story indoor unit. On our last visit ALL the elevators were broken down and they had a door propped open to provide access to a stairwell. No email or phone notice was sent out so this was a surprise when we showed up. Staff couldn't give us an answer about when the elevator would be fixed either. Another couple was there moving in for the first time and weren't sure how to even get to the units because staff didn't bother to guide them. Prior to this, one of the elevators had wiring hanging down from an empty light fixture and it was like that for over a year. In addition to all this, my price has been raised 50% in the last year without any reason provided; we have never had a single missed or late payment or any other infraction. Dont pick this storage company in general. They have horrible customer service, dont take care of their facilities and will lie about pricing. Go with someone else.

DO NOT STORE HERE. - Terrible construction - Easily broken into despite locks Just arrived at my unit to see that Public Storage put their own lock on my unit. Turns out my unit and many others were broken into on June 30th, 2020 and no one bothered to call to inform me of the incident. Upon review of the damage I found that ANY public storage unit can easily be broken into from the outside as the door frames are simple sheet metal and not attached to any studs. The women assisting me in this process ensure me that the service team had reinforced the unit and it could not happen again but when I pointed out that all the did was add two screws to the bottom track and this would do nothing to prevent pending on the clasps she was speechless. I even went to far to show her the I was able to bend the door frame metal by hand since it was not attached to a vertical stud. I will be relocating my belongings and will not be entrusting them with Public Storage again.

Rented unit 1094 for a month. Cost $82 with the deal and fees. After several visits of no one on property and getting an absolute runaround with links via email or phone number or the (206) text or the online chat or in person.... TO VACATE PRIOR TO THE MONTHS END.... I called and left a message for the property manager over 2 weeks ago to call me and let me know what I needed to do to vacate. NO CALL BACK, so I went in on the 21st to clear out storage and finally spoke with a young blonde guy about my vacating and he said I needed to do NOTHING as long as I didn't access the gate again from the 25th on, being that was my move in date in July. I haven't accessed it since the 24th when I went back AGAIN to find a PERSON since no one will return my phone calls... I swept out the unit and left. I spent 5 hours yesterday NOT GETTING LINKS sent to my phone or email... FINALLY I spoke with 'customer service' about them saying I owe a Bala ice even though I was gone by the months rental period end. She said as long as I dont access the gate again the charge with disappear. She said last night she would not the account and send a message to the property manager that I had vacated in time. This m morning I was text a new bill for even more money... I called and the lady said I would have had to notify them by the 23rd to not be charged and how did I want to pay my $52.... I will NOT PAHY IT EVER BECAUSE I DO NOT OWE IT. YOUR EMPLOYEES NEED TO LEARN HOW TO RETURN A PHONE CALL, ESPECIALLY THE PROPERTY MANAGER. YOU GIUYS HAVE ZERO INTEGRITY AND IF THIS ISNT INTENTIONAL, THEN NONE OF YOU HAVE A CLUE HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS! I TRIED THE ONLINE CHAT TWICE YESTERDAY AND TODAY ONLY TO GET HUNG UP ON TODAY AND HAVE A USELESS CLUELESS BOT YESTERDAY....

Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the…read morephone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. in the end this guy ruined my 2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.
