This used to be the very best place to get gas in Portland! For well over a decade I always planned my gas buying here. Best prices and...the best employees! Great service, nice people, and it seemed like a really well run place with not a lot of employee turnover. It sounds funny but I loved seeing my regular peeps there when I ran my usual errand to fill the tank. Well, that has changed. I got surly service the last time I filled up (just last week - August 2026). This was in stark contrast to the many years I've been coming to this station when they had always been great (again, until really recently) about providing service along with self service. Apparently this is no longer the case. Dang. And super rude about it. They just lost a consistent customer who filled up *with premium* multiple times per month. My bank statements show that I went to this gas station from 09/2024 - 01/2025. During that year I was consistently disrespected and harassed by the egotistical boys that pump my gas to the point that they refused to put my gas cap on and even broke it twice. The first time I though it was a poor quality cap and my car gave off the evap leak code so I immediately bought a gas cap that requires a key. I also have records of this purchase with my usual auto store. I repeatedly asked the egotistical boys to put my cap on all the way and of course they never used the key so it was never locked correctly and then he decided to break off my gas cap that required keys since as an intellectual woman I tried to tell him it needed a key; but he insisted it didn't and broke it off. My usual auto store gave me a replacement for free after showing them the broken cap I realized after going to this gas station repeatedly for an extensive amount of time and having them repeatedly break or mishandle my gas tank and gas cap my pressurized fuel system is now weak and I'm praying my injectors don't give out also read more

Best prices for gas in all of Portland, better than Costco or Fred Meyer. Anytime I'm a few miles from this location, I go out of my way to fill up here. Seriously, I pay aprox 40 cents less per gallon for super premium. It's worth driving a little further to fill up my tank. The attendants are hard working and even though this station is always crowded, they approach you as you enter, service the cars quickly, are courteous, and send you on your way. Even ash my onI do's if they notice they are dirty, without me asking. Love this place! Clearly this station is about high volume at slim margins. Wish others would follow suit. Located on NE Interstate and NE Killingsworth, it's a convenient location. After you fill up on gas, go one block down on NE Killingsorth to the Killingsworth Food Cart Station, home of Tehuana Oaxacan, the best Mexican Food Cart and street tacos in Portland. Eat there!!! This review is based on my dog's opinion. For me, this is a local gas station, friendly, convenient. Yep, your basic 3-4* kind of place - afterall, how do you make a gas station stand out these days? However, my dog absolutely thinks this place is a 5* deal. If we are walking, once we are within a block, she'll start pulling at her leash. In the car? She'll press up against the window, hoping we stop. The folks there love dogs, and there is always a cookie available. Haven't tried one myself, but our little 110 pound princess seems to appreciate them an awful lot! Good group of folks, well run place that does actually stand out as a gas station. Doesn't hurt that the prices are generally on the lower end of the range. Note that it is not the most convenient to get in and out of - it is on the corner, across from the Max, and can be a bit cumbersome to navigate. But we'll go out of our way to go here for all the reasons mentioned above. read more

Most of the attendant have worked here for several years. They're fast and efficient even during super busy times. It can be 100+ degrees outside, pouring down rain, or freezing cold and they will still provide excellent service! The only thing that I don't like about this station is that it's frequently really hard to exit the lot because it's on the corner of a very busy intersection and MAX station. read more

Excellent staff but at times they can be busy which shows them down. But the staff is very friendly and appears to enjoy their job.

I love to cruise into this place for gas even if I pass two other 76s in my neighborhood to get to it. The attendants are attentive, the gas is decent and prices generally the lowest in the area. It may look busy, but fear not, the lines move fast. Be sure to enter from the south entrance and drive up to the front of the line. When you are done, you'll be in position to be on your way back to the freeway. This is a 5-star place, I give it 4 today because Google Maps lists it as a 24-hour place and it is not. Alas, their sign says they are open 6am-10pm. Sign of the times, I'm sure. read more

This is hands-down the cheapest gas in North Portland. I generally prefer Chevron gas, but when it's $4 per gallon and the conveniently-located Chevron stations are consistently $0.20/gallon more, I deal. It's close to my work, so I come here about once a week. The service attendants are always friendly and prompt, and they have started to remember me and greet me as a regular. I can't believe I'm taking the time to review a gas station, but I must profess my love for this one. Its by far the cheapest gas (minus Arco- can you call that gas??) in my hood. Five Stars for consistently cheap gas! You gotta love Frank's 76 formerly BP formerly Arco. It's the only gas station I know of where you buy gas a row of cars at a time. Pumping gas at Frank's is best described as assembly line gas pumping. There are rules here that must be obeyed for the benefit of all. 1) Your car must be pointed north in order to buy gas. 2) Gas door must be pumpside. If not it's back of the line for you. 3) Pull all the way forward. Yes, all the way!! 4) If you want your windows washed or oil checked go somewhere else, You're at Franks for cheap gas. 5) You shall not touch the gas pumps or the diesel pumps. 6) Stay in your car. You will be ready to go before you know it. 7) The small island is for diesel only. 8) When the cones next to the building that means the gas delivery truck is coming. Got absolutely robbed buying propane. No price posted, just got a total after walking over the cash register. I had to do the math to figure it out. I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest gas in North Portland. I generally prefer Chevron or Texaco to 76 but I don't have any complaints about this particular location. They have a ton of gas pumps so even when they're busy there isn't much waiting- unless cars in front of you in line hold you up. As someone mentioned, to get gas you'll need to pull in facing North, so you'll want to use the entrances located on Interstate or Willamette. I believe you can use the Killingsworth entrance if you need diesel, though. read more

The attendants are really nice and incredibly fast, there are a lot of pumps so even if there's a line it moves quickly and the prices, from what I can tell, are consistently the cheapest in Portland. They have their system down so cars move quickly and efficiently through the line by having all cars facing north. So smart. Why are other gas stations such a clusterfuck?! Don't underline "clusterfuck", Chrome, it's a word. I usually drive out of my way to fill up at this station and I never regret it. It's always fast, easy and inexpensive. I went there last year to get my butane refilled there. The guy there told me that the only way they can do it is to exchange my brand new one for one of their much older ones that are full. I wasn't very happy about it because the ones they gave me had rusts all over the place but he assured me that that's how everywhere works so if I wanted to go down the street to a different gas station they would do the same. Foolishly, I believed him without checking just because I didnt see the point of lying about something like that. When I came back today to get it exchanged again, one of the guys there brought the tank to get it refilled instead of exchanging it. I asked him when they started refilling butane tanks, he said as long as he could remember. when I confronted to the owner about being lied to last year, he started screaming at me, insulted my ethnicity, and called me a liar. Frankly, I didnt need to argue with him. It's about $10 worth of butane and an old rusted tank that he ripped me off with, but I just dont like dealing with dishonest business, and bad customer service when something goes wrong. I've been going to Frank's 76 for more than five years now, and I'm quite happy with the way they run things. I have never experienced any petition signature gatherers, as the previous reviewer did... nothing like that. These people run a tight ship. First off, if you're making your maiden voyage to Frank's, know that it's a one-way line --- don't try to enter off Killingsworth and head south in the lot to sidle up to a pump. Nope. This is a south-to-north-flowing station. The crew is friendly, fast, and efficient. Weekends can be crowded, but you won't wait too long. If you have your dogs with you, they'll often offer you a treat or two to give them -- however, this practice has waxed and waned. The gas prices are consistently several cents cheaper than most stations in the area, and that does a tank and a wallet good. read more

GO HERE. Best gas station in PDX. So nice and always one of the cheapest in Portland. We have never received bad service from the hardworking folks at this 76 and tip as often as possible. I have been going here for YEARS, I literally live 3 blocks away. And today was the worst service I have EVER received in my life. I have a flat tire, which is nothing new. I have a slow leak, and haven't gotten it fixed (I know). So I come here a lot to get air. This morning my tire was nearly flat, so I grabbed my change and headed down so I could get air and run errands. Put my 75 cents in nothing. Go around, and tell them it's not working. Guy says "squeeze it." Right because I'm a woman and don't know how to use an air pump. Get off it dude. So I wait, and he tells me essentially "too bad go find more money and try it." I have no cash on me. Seriously getting frustrated because I continue to explain it and he keeps saying no. WHO DOES THAT? My tire is clearly flat. I come here like every 3 days. It literally ate my quarters and you just tell me "go find more money." I'm getting very mad at this point. I told him I will contact customer service and tell him is name because this is total B.S. over 75 freaking cents. HE KNOCKS MY PHONE OUT OF MY HAND. I kid you not. While people just watch. Not ok. I know people pull the I bartend or serve card, and it's kind of obnoxious, but I do. I bartend high volume very intoxicated people that I often have to put in check. The 1st time I came here was a year ago and everything was fine. 2nd time I came was during the summer and the service was awful, the gas jockeys kept talking to their friends in cars and let another guy they knew ride his bike around the cars and pumps with a lit cigarette in his mouth.
