There's not a lot of options for gas in this area. This station gets really busy, so the wait times can be long. It's also not in the nicest area so there are some characters around. I have not gone inside. The staff has always been friendly and as prompt as they can be, Brian in particular provided good customer service today. read more

The employee was down right rude. We went in to get drinks. All the drink coolers were locked. When we asked if he could open them he all of a sudden freaked out and told us to get out. We asked why and he said he didn't have to tell us why. We had two kids under 10 with us and he followed us out the door yelling profanities at us and threatening us. read more

I was involved in an auto accident in front of the station. The station has security cameras that may have been helpful but refused to share the video. After speaking with the police, they indicated this owner has a history of non-cooperation and it was even tough to get video from him when there was a violent crime near the station. Be aware what type of businesses you're giving your hard earned money to. I feel pretty certain that the owner would expect police or public assistance if the situation were reversed. read more

On a day when my car was in for repairs I took the bus into the Pearl District, while there I made purchases and was carrying two rather heavy bags. I'm a senior citizen and I sometimes get forgetful so I have to be very careful getting organized so I don't leave things behind. When I went into the Chevron I made a purchase of aprox. $20. I had questions concerning the ​vape tobacco products. I was going to be traveling in the near future and wanted to be able to take something like that with me on vacation ​. The person there (a manager I think) was so rude, told me I needed to clear my purse snd purchases off the counter and let the people behind me get waited on which I did. I don't have a problem stepping aside. There were three people behind the counter I think one of them also could have stepped aside and helped me with my questions didn't take three people to wait on the four people behind me. I got very short answers and I felt like I was wasting their time and I was in the wrong. Aftet not much help i ultimately purchased $37 worth of a product I can't use because parts are sold separately. I went out and set at the busstop feet from the store and read the packaging I immediately discovered that what I had was not going to be able to be used for my needs and when I directly turned around and went back in the store I asked not for a refund I did not have a receipt they don't give receipts they didn't even ask if I wanted a receipt and unfortunately this is one of the few times I used cash instead of my debit card so I asked for a credit so I could purchase the equivalent or more for my regular brand of cigarettes. I returned the unopened package no more than 15 minutes earlier and have not even left off of their property I was told no refunds or exchanges. I've been a Chevron customer for a long time and never have I been treated so rudely I understand that being in the city it's frustrating and many things happen that would make you cranky but I'm a 62 year old woman who just needed some help. They humiliated me treating me rather abruptly and roughly for a customer coming in with cash to make a purchase middle of the day and being courteous with them I feel ganged up on as all three of them looked at me and discussed because I had some questions read more

Damn this place is disgusting. Cardboard taped all over the walls and counter. A bunch of coolers and fridges that are padlocked. Probably the greatest thing about this place is the staff. Stars go to the black man who works overnights usually. He's a total charmer and I adore him. The white dude though makes this place horrible in the best way kiddo. I never thought I'd feel inclined to write a review -or feel any sort of excitement, with words to express- about a gas station. Never say never. Once I moved back to Portland, I wasn't all that excited to hand over the freedom to pump my own gas, especially in a city that has few gas stations that are open past 11PM. Thankfully, I ran into this Chevron -one of the few stations that's open twenty-four mother-loving hours. Although open 24 hours, that's not the reason I felt compelled to write a little bit about the glory of this gas station. Every single time I stop at this Chevron, the most cheerful man (one of two) pumps my gas, smiling the whole time, making conversation. We have had a long drive and still a long way to go. we came in to buy snacks and drinks and to use the restroom. SARAH wouldn't let us use the restroom even though we were making a purchase over $10. She said we had to be pumping gas to use the restroom. Never in my life have I heard this as a policy. I have a security site around the corner for the last week. I have been using the bathroom there the whole time and buying my soda as a thank you. Today 1-3-18 I used the bathroom earlier and the man told ok but there may not be any t.p. that was fine, I had napkins in my pocket. I went back just a few min ago and a employee Seth said no bathroom for anyone to use, after I bought my soda as a thank you, and got a horrible attitude. I was nice and polite the whole time even telling I just used it a few hours prior. He said life changes and got all weird. I then asked for my $1.55 back then. He got the money out of the till and went to hand it to me, then said he changed his mind so I asked for a manager name or phone number. He said it's out on the pumps, which it is not i went back inside and asked where. He then told me to Google it. I then asked for my receipt, which he refused to give me. It was a Saturday morning and we were looking for a place to park Downtown. Parking around the area is relatively expensive so we kept looking for the next lot and the next lot... and the next lot. Finally, past the edge of the main Downtown area, I saw a sketchy sign that said $3.95 all day at the Chevron gas station. I pull into the lot and yup, sketchiness was confirmed. Just the area and the people who cut through the lot to walk through as it's located on a corner. The guy told me to park in front of the auto repair shop. All right, I guess they're closed on weekends. The only consolation was the fact that there was one other vehicle parked for the day and it was an Audi. I thought, well, if someone's going to break into a vehicle, they'll go for the Audi first. I proceed to pay the attendant inside the building. I gave him a five and got $1.05 in return. Good deal. It was more than a few blocks to the main Downtown area but it's Portland. Portland blocks are probably the shortest in all of North America so no big deal. It actually worked out since we checked out the Saturday Market at the waterfront park afterwards, which is just a few blocks over. By the time we returned, there was another car parked beside me. A Jaguar. I guess the moral of the story is, if the sketchy three dollar and fifty cent Chevron parking lot is good enough for Audi and Jaguar drivers, it's good enough for you. read more

Old Town Chevron is the only place I take my cars to get fixed. They're fair, don't fix anything that isn't broke and are super nice guys.

I get gas here once a week. The attendants are always pleasant and service professional.

This is the worst gas station I have ever been to and I will never go there again. First of all, I paid with a card at the pump to fill up and they put a $100 hold on my card for a $30.36 transaction. I had no idea they did this and if I had known to begin with, I would have just paid with cash. It would have been better when they took my card to run it at the pump that they told me there will be a $100 hold for fill up, do you still want to run this card? I didn't know about that and that it can take 7 days to get my money back in my account. So when I saw that $100 transaction fee I was confused. So I am sitting there and the woman comes up to me and asks "Have you been helped?" and I said "Yes, but I am trying to figure out why you charged a $100 to my card." then she says, "So you have been helped?" " And I hand her my receipt for $30.36 and I ask why did you charge my card $100?" and she says that it must be a mistake on the part of my bank. And then she actually THROWS my receipt at me and says "I will check the register." then she comes back and says "See, we only charged you $30.36." and then she THREW that receipt and walked away. And I am thinking why the hell is there a $100 charge on my card?! Also, this gas station was .40 cents more a gallon than any other gas station. And they are very rude and they charge you a $100 hold when you fill up at the pump with a card. I will NEVER go back to this gas station EVER again. What a horrible experience. read more
