When I arrived Nate was very helpful. I promptly moved into my storage with the trolly he provided. Where I am truly grateful is when he found my storage keys. He didn't know who they belonged to at the time since I accident left it on the outside AC unit. Nate went and looked through the cameras and recognized me in the video. Barely made it a week before cancelling my contract and getting out of there as soon as i could. Made the mistake of accepting the unit with a very badly damaged insulation which i was told would be fixed in one day (although not specific as ot when). After following up several times and NOT using the unit just waiting for the fixes to be made, i decided to take care of the issue myself by at least removing the broken pieces so that i could at least start occuping the unit that i had already being paying for a week. While doing so, i found a lot insects and rat excrement which obviously didnt help the situation. After approaching the counter person (who had already been somewhat rude with me from the very beginning and supposedly was the managers daughter) to request access to the bathrooms (which are supposed to be part of the facilities amenities) she told me i couldnt use them because they were both broken. So here i am, all dusty and dirty from fixing an issue that was supposed to be taken care of by them and i cant even wash my hands. Not only that, she tells me i have to take the insulation trash bag i just removed with ME and out of the facilities because i cant place it in their dumpster...THEIR broken insulation that I ended up removing. During all this process, she was being very rude (screaming) and telling me that i couldnt place THEIR insulation on THEIR dumpster, which i obviously did. Of course, i had enough of this incompetence so left the place and cancelled my contract just 7 days after making it...after 2 paymens and nothing being stored in the place. Completly unnacceptable behavior and at my own cost since no refunds or prorates where offered on their part. Wasted time, money and peace of mind for nothing. read more

We had gotten in contact with the manager several times in reference to a structural issue pertaining to the ceiling of one of the storage units we had been using with them. Nothing was done for the reason and the previous Saturday there was a massive leak leading to damaged merchandise exceeding 22,000$ when being told by the manager Nicole they would not be held responsible and were asked to be given the number to corporate. They instead gave us a spam number and sent us on our way. I would never recommend the use of this specific location let alone the rest of South Florida Public Storage units if this is how the managerial professionalism. read more

TERRIBLE customer service, NEVER answer at the rental property office have to call the 1-800 # every time, tried to increase my rent the first month lol, added on fees that said would have been avoided. Just jump the gate and get your stuff out, move to LIFE STORAGE they are way cheaper monthly & customer service goes above and beyond. read more

Wanted to keep my trailer here at the advertised special that they have on their website (first month $1). When I came into the location they told me that the last spot available doesn't have the $1 promotion. Apparently they raise the price or don't follow the promotion when the demand is higher than the supply. To me, this is false advertising and corporate needs to find a way to get their individual locations in line with a standard policy. I'm extremely upset about this and It has ruined my experience with this company. read more

Rented a unit today and upon looking at my receipt I noticed the clerk charged me for a small box that I didn't purchase. In addition the clerk was experiencing computer issues and the credit card machine wasn't working so she had to manually enter my credit card info. Coincidentally a few hours later my credit card number was used for a large purchase at the nearby Domino's pizza; the only reason I mention this credit card issue is because I rarely use this card and for a fraudulent charge to happen at a nearby business on the same day of the added item to my bill is suspect. read more

If you value your property I wouldn't store here.. the gates are broken regularly and they leave the gates open often.. but that's what you pay for, a secure location.. property managers come and go and upper management doesn't care much. Sometimes you can't even get into the place because the gate doesn't work and will have to wait till someone shows up at the office. This location has great, courteous, and friendly staff. Debbie was a dream to work with. She walked me through the whole process and made me feel at ease about leaving my things in their care. The facilities were clean and secure. There is only one way in or out, and you have to have the code to open the gate on top of the required locks on each unit. I recently went to this location to rent a storage shed for my tools and business equipment. I walked in and the woman at the counter was completely rude and smelled of cigarettes. She was shaking and I couldn't understand anything she was saying. I proceeded because I needed to move out of my current garage due to their rent increase but she said she had no units available. I showed her online what I was seeing but she said they weren't available. Told me to go down the street. I asked for her managers number, she said she was the manager. Asked for someone above her and she gave me customer services number. Due to me needing storage quickly I went up the street and had terrific service but the price was too high. This is a great location. The units are always clean and the grounds are well maintained and secure. The staff is always very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. Mary Jo always goes above and beyond. She is the reason I've been a Public Storage customer for as long as I have. Mary Jo is TOP NOTCH. The only bad thing I can say about this location is that Corporate recently decided to take the golf cart away. No one wants to walk the grounds in Florida heat. Very bad move Corporate! This bad decision is going to make current and prospective customers take their business elsewhere. Mary Jo, the Manager, is really nice. She recognized that I was a woman alone and gave me a storage unit in the front row by the office. Very thoughtful and considerate of her. I was surprised when I arranged for the unit that Public Storage REQUIRES you to buy their insurance for an additional $15 per month. Most storage units do not have this requirement. After moving into the unit, it was a few weeks before I went back. When I opened the door to my unit, everything in the front of the unit was covered in dirt and dust that entered into the unit around the door. I've been renting this unit for 6 months, payments always on time. This month, when I received my invoice (which they send out 2 weeks for payment is due and no further reminders, so you have to remember to pay it) I found out they increased my rent by $20 per month. I checked on my other unit at another Public Storage and the same increase. When I called the office (Mary Jo wasn't there) I was advised that Public Storage arbitrarily give increases every 6 months or a year and that it's standard practice. I mentioned I didn't read that anywhere in the paperwork and was advised that because I was on a month-to-month they were increasing the rent. Well, bye bye Public Storage! Emptying both units by end of month and will definitely NEVER use them again. By the way, I had a storage unit at Uncle Bob's for 5 years and never had a rental increase! read more
