HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The woman at the counter was beyond rude. I called before going in person and she hung up on me multiple times. Didn't bother trying to help me with my issue, just yelled that she couldn't help me and hung up. Didn't even give me an opportunity to speak. I then showed up in person and she continued to yell stating it wasn't her problem and walked away. We also showed up at 5 and she kept saying they were closed, but the sign said they were open until 6! If I could give this place negative stars I would. read more

I have been a customer at this location for almost 3 years and have never really been happy with the staff. However, Gabi and Danny (a husband-and-wife team) are now running this place and are an absolute breath of fresh air. They are courteous, helpful, and genuinely lovely people who actually care about the job they are doing. One becomes accustomed to poor customer service in places like this, so it comes as a bit of a shock when encountering people like Gabi and Danny. I cannot thank them enough for their help. I intended to close my storage unit, but because of their excellent service and help to find me a more suitable unit, I was convinced to stay. I hope they stay, too! read more

I took a picture of the spot that is correct and make sure it's correct before I park it and then they were like maybe you have expired tag I went to the agency and they check on the system and therefore the 26 so I have one here I came today at 9 am and the so rude about it. How she? Talk to me? It's a black lady. She's like 5'8 when I came in the afternoon she was telling me she don't wanna talk to me. She out of my store before I call the police and put a trespassing on you. Service is non existent. The entire place is filthy. There are channels in the floor of the unit. Wall to wall might be 10x10, but with a side channel and a front channel the inside floor might be 9.5x9.5 yet you pay for the 10x10. Not good! Public Storage pulled a "Bait & Switch". Do not rent here or at any Public Storage. I was just on the phone, internet chat, and attempting to get into my account on the website all at the same time. After 45 minutes the website won. There is never anyone in the office. No one answers the phone. When you have an issue you have to call the number posted on the office door and then you are shuffled back & forth between agents. Public Storage is not worth the aggravation. After one month & 3 days, I moved out. I regret ever moving my belongings to Public Storage at 5150 Copans Road, Margate, FL 33063. The service, price and quality of the unit make this a horrible value. read more

This review is regarding the Public Storage facility on Copans Road in Margate, FL. I had to provide a rating in order to post my review but I would not have given them any rating or given this place anything but negative feedback. I have been renting a 10x10 unit since 2/2014 at $91.00 per month. They have done NO maintenance but have continued to raise the monthly rate and the last straw was this past Christmas my belongings were infesTed and eaten by rats, the doors haven't been painted on my building and they are difficult to open and they have the gall to increase my rate from $197 last month to $235 this coming month. Once I gave notice that I was leaving they cut my rent back to $160 a month, a rate that I was paying in 2019! If they wanted to keep my business the should have given me 3 years free rent for over charging me all these years! I was able to find a facility not to far away for $80.00 per month.... Look around people Public Storage is NOT THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN STORE YOUR BELONGINGS! read more

For storing a motorcycle or items that do not require being sealed, the facility works. If your storing anything that you do not wish to have roaches, rats, etc infilitrating, then pack it with poisen and leave traps in the storage unit. If you expect to pay the online rate for more than 6 months, good luck. I rented a 5 x 10 unit for a total of $97 (tax included) plus the $30? admin fee and presumed that was going to be it. 6 months in, they raised it to $120 plus tax. I canceled the unit and moved out. I was informed that I had to move out on the 29 of the month versus the 31 (which was the end of the month). From what I have experienced, the individuals working there are around 25% of the time during the posted business hours. As I said above, for a motorcycle, bicycle, lawn mower, etc the unit is fine. Anything that can be damaged by rats, roaches, etc will NOT be fine. If you don't mind having the rent increased after just 6 months, then rent away. read more

Set a same date appointment to rent a unit and was contacted at 10:30am after signing up online to confirm my arrival. I specifically told the representative that I don't get off work till 5pm and won't be there until 5:30pm - 5:45pm. She said that is fine. I showed up at 5:40pm and was told by the location representative that walkthroughs take 30mins and there is no way that we can do it now and will have to reschedule. After explaining to her what I was told over the phone, she told me that "they don't pay her overtime". I explained to her my situation, which I won't get into detail here, but I wouldn't of been so upset and even offered her to pay her overtime in cash if I didn't need the space that day. Regardless if she was allowed to accept a payment or not, she still provided me with no solution and asked me to come back tomorrow. The manager called me back the next day to see if I would reschedule and I said yes, but needed to call her back because I was at work. When I called back, nobody answered. Great staff and wonderful manager. The billing process was clear and clean. The locale was secure at night and it is good having a gas station nearby. Too many big vehicles parked inside makes it inconvenient to park and offload without assistance. Always travel with a buddy to this location. read more

This would be a 1 star review if it weren't for the staff that works there. Their corporate customer service is horrible!!! My rent usually gets raised every yea but now they did it in 6 months! I called to ask if they can work with us and they just tell me what new customers would pay now for the same bay.... if that were the case the one to the left of me should have rented in the last 6 months, or it's probably the reason why it hasn't... I guess no rent = more than raising rent. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years it's a shame no one could resolve my issue. read more

Very unprofessional operation. Not very customer oriented...The hallways are dark and dingy. Small single door entrances to hallways, that are NOT very accessible, I was also asked to pay with cash, since their credit card machine mysteriously went down at 5pm... I think not. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have called so many times to speak with the Property Manager and I repeatedly get an answering machine. I've left multiple messages but still have not heard back. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I am extremely disappointed. There are also rats at this facility. All of my boxes had rat poop even though we were in an air conditioned unit. Reserved a spot a online 4/26 and visited location and spot with manager of location on 4/27. Agreed with the manager I would be back with documents to pay for spot (title and insurance) before 5/9 which she documented in her systems at the time of my visit. I go today to pay three days earlier than agreed. The manager tells me the spot is already rented. Her explanation is she was off and someone else rented it.
