The main person in the office is hardly here and when they're here the main door is still closed you basically have to get their attention to assist you. When I was going to enter and he was leaving on his lunch he didnt hesitate to tell me only members using their code can enter, but didnt say anything to the homeless after me. This location is filthy and there's always a problem trying to use a Cart for your items, they used to have 4 when I had a Spot here now I see only 1. I find broken lock pieces in my friends unit, dust, dirt, dead Rats, trash and food. Please don't waste ur money on this Place. read more

Inside, the site is air conditioned and offers decent, clean lockers. It seems to be cheaper than the competition around Claremont. I was very pleased with the 10 months of service I had here. I felt always safe even though I was wandering down hallways as a single woman. This site has very limited parking and that is a strike against it unless you are able to go at "off hours" which is mid week in the middle of the day. The location alongside the rail line might necessitate your using a different access route depending on freight rail schedules, as those trains can be excessively long and waste your time behind a red light within 500 feet of the entry gate. I use alternate routes when the rail guards are down. The customers can be ratty low-brow Americans who are not taught manners in their basic education and have wretched family backgrounds, so COVID safety does depend on their honorable behavior with masking. Yet, I felt that the customers would respond when asked to keep their mask on. Stephanie is an exemplary manager at the site. She keeps a steady and pleasant demeanour --despite all the ill-mannered people who come through the place-- and she made the process of checking out of my locker a breeze. She is the kind of employee who creates additional business simply because customers feel confident and secure in their transactions with her. Please give this professional lady a raise. I would go back to this location if I needed another temporary interim storage locker. Stephanie told me she has customers who have stored their stuff here for 30+ years. This is my second public storage in this past year the West Covina location was always a chore to get in and out. And I always had an issue with the role up door. This is by far the worst public storage. There was a fire at the Public Storage and for 3 days couldn't get any answers on our unit. Nicole the public storage attendant/worker has a very bad attitude and poor customer service. As soon we can we are never bringing our business back to public storage. Public Storage - Happy - Self Storage Near Me - Pomona, California

I've had 8 storage units in the last 10 years at various places (not all Public Storage) but I have NEVER had such a terrible experience as I did with this particular location. I attempted to move out THREE times and could not because of the irresponsibility of this location. 9/10/2021: I had hired movers to move out my unit. We arrived at 6:37 PM only to discover that the units are ONLY accessible during office hours. I've NEVER been able to not access my unit after the office closes, but such is the case with this location. I was also not made aware of this when I originally moved into the unit a month ago. But even if I had been, it wouldn't have made a difference considering my next TWO attempts: 9/15/2021: This time I show up during business hours, being sure to check on the app that they were open that day and time--only to find a note on the door saying that the office was "unexpectedly" closed that day. This meant that the rolling cart (of which they had one) was not available as it was locked in the office. As I was moving heavy furniture, I needed access to that cart to move out. This time it was just my friend and I, and we were unable to carry such bulky furniture. So again, we had to leave. 9/18/2021: THIS time, I CALLED the office multiple times and left messages that went unanswered to verify that I would indeed be able to access my unit AND that the office would be open, because I NEEDED to use the cart to move out. I had someone buying one of my furniture pieces so when I didn't get an answer, I had to trust the app and hope that the office wouldn't be "unexpectedly" closed again. No such luck! We get there, and while I had access to the unit for the buyer to buy ONE piece of furniture, I still could not move the rest out that day because the office was AGAIN closed unexpectedly!!! THREE times I tried to move out, each time scheduling around my own work and school schedule, having PAID movers at one point and PAID for a UHaul at another, NONE of which I could ACTUALLY move out. It was infuriating! I could not get anyone to call me back after multiple calls and voice mails left at the apparent office. Every time I was routed to their general customer service line, I was told that from what they could tell, the office should be open--but it wasn't. 10/2/2021: I got CHARGED almost $300 for another month of rent--I was finally able to move out on 10/3, and my account was closed on 10/4. I called and tried to speak to the manager of that office, who of course, never responded. I spoke to his manager, who said he couldn't refund me because two of the times I still had access, even if the office was closed and that the cart was just a courtesy. I'm aware that the cart is a courtesy, but when you ADVERTISE it as a perk and something that will be available during office hours on the day you move, then as a customer you're going to expect it to be available for use if you show up during office hours! Don't try to "sell" me on your unit as a perk for something that is never going to be available, and then shrug your shoulders when I'm upset that it isn't available because you can't even get someone to show up to open the office! I was finally referred to Sandy Lau, who is apparently a corporate manager. I called and left her a voicemail about two weeks ago now and still haven't heard back. I don't expect to, I'll just never use Public Storage again. What a waste of money and a waste of time. The absolute LEAST they could have done would have been to refund me for the month of which I used for two days (10/2-10/3) considering I had tried THREE TIMES to move out beforehand. I know they never will, but at least maybe letting others know how flaky and irresponsible this location is will save someone else from going through this disaster of a location. read more

Lauren is genuinely a nice and wonderful person, she deals with a lot of stuff at this location, and she does her best to keep everyone happy, she keeps the place clean and presentable. Public storage as a corporate company should invest more in keeping their facilities up to code and remodeled. the employees can only work with what public storage gives them, and in this case corporate needs to remodel this place, they need to put power gates that close automatically after working hours and ext. Public storage needs to attend it's good employees that it has and and value them by putting their part two with the up keeping of their facilities. I WOULD GIVE A ZERO STAR RATING IF POSSIBLE. This place is so disgusting I would NOT recommend it for my worst enemy. I rented a unit with them for years out of necessity and they sure don't know how to appreciate their customers. Customer service is ALWAYS bad especially over the phone when you call in with a concern. The place is so dirty inside and out. Nobody cleans it or keeps it worthy of peoples money. There are homeless people outside just hanging out and they sleep and smoke weed inside the building and NOBODY tells them anything. There are bugs, roaches and I've even seen a lizard crawling in the hallway! When I brought it up to employees at the front desk (multiple times) they didn't care because obviously they're not the ones storing their things there. One lady even told me bugs are fine because "the big bugs eat the smaller bugs"! They're just unbelievable & rude. On top of that they don't honor their word or prices at all EVER, they will raise the price of your unit ALL. THE. TIME. without notice even though their building is falling apart- they way overprice their spaces too much. Public Storage will lie to you when trying to get you to sign the contract READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE!!! *If you need another reason NOT to rent here, their condition during the summer is horrible. No a/c and some of your belongings can/ will get damaged/ destroyed. Ex; I had a pool plastic float and it was deflated folded in a box- during the summer time it was so hot in there it all melted into a big chunk of plastic also I had left a make up bag in there- all my lipsticks melted, if you need to pick up something you will sweat more than in a sauna room even if you're in-and-out of there in less than 5 mins. read more

I am pretty new to this yelp thing, but I just wanted to take the time to leave a review for Public Storage Pomona. I have stored here for a few months now and I must say this property has improved greatly over the past months. Since I've been here they have changed their staff, the new property manager MARISOL is great! Since she has been working here the property is always CLEAN AND WELL KEPT!! She's done a great job of deterring all the people whom used to hang around all day and seemed like they lived there. The property now is looking up thanks to her and I must say she is really attentive to the tenants needs. I have witnessed first hand how she handles customer/tenant complaints and I must say she does and excellent job of making sure that customer needs are met in a timely manner. Although I must admit the area in which the property is located is not the best in appearance, if you are looking to store here you can rest assured that there is a more than capable staff that will do it's best at keeping the property safe and in turn your belongings. As far as the previous reviews stating to call ahead before arriving I would most definitely agree and suggest that you do, as far as I'm concerned only Marisol works there and on the days she is not there only one person at the time works the property and clearly in order to maintain the property they must go out of the office to do so. My family and I purchased a very large unit. Our belongings thankfully were all intact during our rental. But we did purchase 2 locks. There was rain not too long ago and a box of ours was damage. We did purchase insurance, now going through a process. Not too thrill, we didn't know the storage unit was going to have a water leakage nor do we know how long this "process" will be. Pros, good pricing, convenient location. Cons, homeless people DO live here. I've seen them even do their laundry in a bucket. Dead roaches in the aisles.We found baby roaches in our storage unit. We informed the employee she said that was common and handed us roach pallets. We left it over night. The next day our unit smelled horrific, like poison toxic. There is only ONE CART for the whole storage facility. On a busy day, there is a high chance of waiting for the usage of the cart. On top of that, you have to provide your ID to the employee. The employee that works at the desk has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. She does not greet you or feel welcomed. She won't attend to you or acknowledge you when she is typing unless you say something. She could at least say "I'll be with you in a few minutes". It seems like she is annoyed when you do ask for the cart, and takes her sweet time to unlock it. The hours posted are not accurate, the employees here like to close early. I unexpectedly had to move some of my stuff to storage to prevent belongings from getting further damage due to recent rains. I have never used storage and wasn't sure how it worked. I called here and had all my questions answered and much needed reassurance.
