When I signed up with Public Storage less than two years ago, my rent was $54 a month for a 10x10 unit. Less than a year later, the rent more than doubled. I contacted the property and was given a temporary reprieve from the hike. Three months later the price jumped again. Now we have been notified that our rental fee will be over $170. I contacted corporate using their chat function. If you take the time to read, you will see it went no where. These companies are in total control. They have the 'if you don't like it, go somewhere else' attitude. They are very nice and cordial when sucking you into the original agreement, but after that they own you. TERRIBLE SERVICE! We have applied for storage at July 5th. Moving in date is Juli 6th, today is 7th and we still can't get acces to the unit (it locked). Time is money, I'm paying for the cargo van because my stuff is still in it (we're from California!). The Property manager doesn't respond for calls, there is nobody at the facility due buisiness hours. I have called to the facility manager at least 11 times and didnt get an answer for my voicemails. My feedback is absolutely negative, I'll not recommend Publick Storage nobody. Wait for my feedback at all platforms you know! I've called to the hotline numbers provided. They couldn't help us as well, just sceduled an appointment for tomorrow. As I understood the reason is holidays, but there is no word about that the unit will be unavailable those days. My roommate and I purchased a space for just 1.5 months and when we came back to collect our furniture/items...there were roaches EVERYWHERE! We had to leave behind so much, such as our bed box springs, a couch, and so on because they were infested with roaches. I couldn't believe my eyes. This is a warning to any and all current or possible renters / consumers ,who are or plan to rent a space from the "Public Storage" facility located at : 1851 N Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32826.... This facility is RAT INFESTED ...... I rented a large space at this location in October of 2022 ...mostly all household items as I had sold my home and I am an OTR driver and I pretty much drive my truck all over the USA ,and rarely get a chance to stop in my storage unit .... Well on 1/15/2023 I was in town for some off time and wanted to pickup some things to donate to "Goodwill" ... what I found was a nightmare...as soon as I opened the roll up door I was hit by the SMELL of Rat urine . When I began to pull things out to make my way in , the odor got stronger ...then as I began to discover the damage and the rodent droppings.. I saw several nesting areas and at one point saw 6-7 very large rats jumping and scurrying all over .... I went to the front desk and alerted the lady who was on duty ,to what I found , she didn't even want to go see for herself .....it took the better part of a week to clean out the storage unit and dispose of the damaged things ( clothes , household/ kitchen items , and a 75" flat screen TV )... I then came to find out that the insurance that they require you to have and they collect on ,only covers up too $250. With a $100. Deductible ( so pretty much 150 dollars) ....this is a completely a ripoff and unacceptable..!!! Don't rent here ,it's rat infested and they don't care about your possessions!!! read more

Use at your own risk!! My daughter just picked up her items stored over the summer. She attends UCF. There was major water damage due to a leak in the ceiling, roaches were crawling on everything and mice had gotten in and pooped on everything, too. We had to throw out anything not stored in a sealed plastic container. Damage cost to us is about $200. When you rent a climate controlled storage unit it's reasonable to assume the roof/ceiling won't leak. Because we did not purchase their very expensive insurance, no reimbursement for damage, no apology, no refund for wasted storage fees. Horrible customer service. Completely unacceptable. read more

I had made a reservation through their call center and unfortunately the rep reserved the incorrect unit. By the time I was able to get to the storage office it was almost time for them to close, however the manager Yaisanet was great and helpful. She corrected the reservation and even though it was time for the office to close she still was patient and courteous. Absolutely amazing customer service!!!! read more

I'd say go to another storage facility and don't bother looking back. For starters, they grossly raise their advertised prices with hidden fees, insurance and unit availability that isn't properly displayed on the websites. I rented a unit last month for the sole purpose of storing my stuff for a month at an estimated cost of $150 on the website and when I arrived, the price jumped to roughly $220. Other than a few cockroach sightings and a musty smell, everything seemed in order. I moved out of my unit, returned my lock and key and thought all was okay. Approximately 2 weeks later I received a call that I had a bill for $150+ for me for not vacating my space in time. They refused to even discuss my situation, and even left me a slightly threatening voice mail that I MUST pay my bill or they're collections department would be in touch with me within 10 days. As a student and somebody who doesn't really have the cash for all these shenanigans they pull to make money, it was kind of gross watching this business take advantage of me. 0/5 stars if I could rate as such. read more
