    When I signed up with Public Storage less than two years ago, my rent was $54 a month for a 10x10…read moreunit. Less than a year later, the rent more than doubled. I contacted the property and was given a temporary reprieve from the hike. Three months later the price jumped again. Now we have been notified that our rental fee will be over $170. I contacted corporate using their chat function. If you take the time to read, you will see it went no where. These companies are in total control. They have the 'if you don't like it, go somewhere else' attitude. They are very nice and cordial when sucking you into the original agreement, but after that they own you. We have a month-to-month rental agreement so that our customers have the flexibility to do what is best given their personal finances or circumstances.
