I wrote a review when we first moved our stuff to this unit and this is a now from a more experienced viewpoint: Blanche has continued to be professional and easy to deal with. No complaints with her whatsoever, truly a gem of a lady. I do, however, have 3 complaints which will hopefully be of use to future storage space renters. The first complaint is about online reviews and pertains to ALL storage companies. Draw your own conclusion but who's really posting when the reviews sound the same, look the same, use the same syntax, etc.? You really can't trust the reviews of ANY storage facility. Best is to just go to whatever facility you're considering and look for yourself. The second complaint is after a year, if you're a good tenant and pay on time they jack up your rent. That's a Corporate decision and it punishes long-term loyal customers who pay on time and rewards those who aren't. So basically you have a year of consistent rent prices then you should plan to move to another facility if you happen to need longer-term space. The third complaint is that Public Storage advertises in huge print out front, and online, that $1 pays first month's rent. These unites are rarely available - if ever. Corporate, who sets these standards, should be ashamed of themselves for doing bait and switch. They'll claim there's a little asterisk in there and some fine print that says "on select units" or some such crap but where are these units? This also creates difficulties for the employees who have to deal with disappointed customers so double shame on Corporate. Why can't they be honest and give customers the first month for $1 or take down the signs? They got my money this go around but I'll never rent with them again nor would I recommend them to anyone because bait and switch is wrong. So triple shame on you people in Corporate. You're a model of how to piss off customers. read more

Storage units can be so generic ... all that matters is location ... right? Not in the case of the Public Storage on Hunt Club in Apopka, FL. I have rented and continue to rent a large unit at this location for over eight years and have always required frequent access. The service I have consistently received is incredible and the reason I have not looked for cheaper units at other locations. The manager does everything she can to make sure my needs are met. She is extremely courteous, professional and quick to respond to special requests. I will not leave this location as long as she is manager. I am disappointed that my rate goes up every year but I will assume this is common practice with other storage facilities. fyi ... I do not have family members associated with this facility or company (i.e. this is a sincere, un-biased and legitimate review) read more

My home experienced a sinkhole and I have never used a storage facility but in this case it was essential that I relocate immediately. I met Blanche, the manager at my local public storage and she set me at ease. Such a nice person. I wound up needing 4 assorted sized bays and from the second day till 2 months later when I finally found a new home, Blanche always greeted me with a big smiley hi steve like I have known her my whole life. We talk we joke and she took interest in my situation always asking how I was doing. I FELT LIKE I WAS AT HOME AND MOM WAS LOOKING AFTER THINGS WHILE I WAS AWAY. She Changed my perspective on what I believed storage facilities were. Give her a raise and more facilities to watch after, she deserves it. read more

Our HOA maintains a storage unit at this property in order to store HOA property. The HOA recently transfered from one Property Management Company (PMC) to another. Because of this I chose to visit this Public Storage in order to ensure our account was accurately transferred. It wasn't. Am glad I went in as was able to effect the transfer between PMCs and also meet "Blanche," who I take it is the manager over daily operations. What a total bundle of joy and what a font of knowledge. Because of her I was able to make the change smoothly and without incident. Blanche is, without a doubt, a Public Storage ambassador! read more

I was looking for boxes the other day for moving and packing supplies, and Blanche helped me out. Not only is she a wonderful person, she was so helpful and knew exactly what I would need. She seems to be there all the time, remembers everyone's name, and is always pleasant as though she never has a bad day. I was also looking for a storage unit and noticed that the property is immaculately clean and kept up. If anyone is looking for a storage unit or supplies I would highly recommend talking to Blanche about your situation. She will make your experience a good one with her patience and knowledge. read more

I would just like to send a thumbs up to Blanche for the help she has given me over the years. She is the most patient and pleasant person who knows the business very well. I rented a unit a couple years ago and haven't been there for awhile. I recently went there to buy some moving boxes and Blanche remembered my name! While I was there another customer came in and she greeted him by his name, too! You just don't get this kind of service anymore. I have never had problems here and would recommend this Public Storage place if you are looking for one. The property is safe and clean. read more

I have used PS in the past, it was okay. I needed a unit very last minute, and Blanche and Bettye were very accommodating in locating the correct unit for me. They handled the whole transaction with tact and diligence, and professionalism, while making me feel important. These ladies, keep the property and facilities so very clean and tidy. They go above and beyond for their customers, and they are genuinely concerned about their customers needs. They seems to really enjoy their job. Ladies, you're phenomenal, keep up the good work!!! Thanks, for all you do! read more

I have been a customer here at the Apopka location with Blanche, the property manager, for many more years than I had initially intended but I am so happy with the cleanliness of the facility and the customer service I have gotten from her that I have kept my belongings there even though I have since moved and have several other options closer to my home. I have not had any concerns for the safety of my little treasures but if I have ever had a question I can count on Blanche to respond to me immediately. read more

I moved to Altamonte back in 2006 and needed a storage unit. I came to Public Storage and met Blanche who was friendly, respectful and very professional. She explained the different units available and was very informative and helpful. Now I found myself in need of a storage unit and I came straight here. Again Blanche, always friendly and more than helpful. She maintains everything cleaned and makes me feel secure. This place is simply amazing in the fact that they provide great services, along with great service!! I was in and out with my new storage unit in no time at all, and it was a corporate setup no less. A knowledgeable employee by the name of Amanda was more than helpful, from show me the unit, to helping myself with the paperwork. She really made the experience better! I definitely picked the correct storage facility to rent from. read more

Throughout my life I have had endless problems with Public Storage. So much so that I exclusively use Uhaul now. It's worth the price to pay so you are not lied to, threatened on property and then stolen from. Your money and your property. My mistake was once again to trust this company. Never never never again. This one may end in court. DO NOT USE Public Storage. You will end up regretting it. read more

I intended to be in for 8 months, stayed for 15, and appreciated every moment of it. Blanche is very attentive, courteous, and helpful.
