1/5 Extremely…read moredisappointed with my experience at this Public Storage location on Hunt Club Dr. The condition and maintenance of this facility are completely unacceptable, especially considering that the rental rates keep increasing. The elevator was broken, which is a major problem when you're paying for a storage unit and need to move your belongings in and out. To make matters worse, the only bathroom on the premises was inaccessible because the door handle was broken and the door could not be opened. Carts are another issue. There was only ONE cart available, and some of the buildings had no carts at all. When you're moving boxes and heavier items through a storage facility, having working elevators and enough carts isn't a luxury -- it's basic functionality. Meanwhile, the price keeps going up. If customers are being charged more and more, the facility should at least be properly maintained and provide basic amenities that actually work. Between the broken elevator, inaccessible bathroom, lack of carts, poor maintenance, and repeated price increases, I am extremely unhappy with this location. The overall condition of the property is terrible, and I absolutely do not feel that the service and facilities justify what they are charging.

Because it was evening, I tried calling 3 times to see when it would be repaired so I could maybe make other arrangements but no one answered. Since I couldn't determine when it would be fixed, I went ahead and moved my things. As a 53 year old female it was NOT an easy task. To make things worse, when they called me the next morning, no apology. When I asked how long it had been down, she said 4 days. I asked why they didn't notify anyone (so I could have made arrangements to have help). The answer...we don't have a way to do that. Again, no remorse, no apology for the inconvenience. Note: isn't it interesting they can email me for my payments. They can email when a hurricane is coming and what to be prepared for. They can ALSO text me to tell me my unit is vacant. But they can't text to tell the upper units that the elevator is down???

I left them a bad review on their own site and sure enough they called me. They offered to lower my rate then afterward find it's a temporary decrease. It's not a good value. It's a passive income grab instead of decent customer service. The facility is clean which is plus, but it's an older facility that shouldn't doesn't have all the new build cost which makes pricing more infuriating. This isn't the 90's where you can just talk to the person in the office. It's all blaming "corporate" for what's going on. I totally understand rate increases but it's not a business that provides a good service at a good value. Don't patron this business.
