After an apartment fire, we needed immediate storage. We were immediately able to rent a unit,…read morewith the office staff, and Manager, Tally, being very helpful with our needs. Due to costs of extended stay hotels, and the length of time (4-5 months) before we could possibly move back, family in Texas asked us to move in with them, thus we needed to get a PODS and Tally was very helpful with assisting PODS delivery and pick up as we had to move quickly. Comparatively, I don't know rental prices, yet we were very pleased with a reasonable rate, plus the added assistance of Tally and her staff regarding the logistics of the PODS, etc. We recommend them as our unit was clean and no issues with pests or otherwise. These are outside entrance storage units, thus not climate controlled, inside entrance; meanwhile, that would be a decision one would have to make depending on each's circumstances. For ours, it served its purpose, with Tally and staff being friendly and helpful throughout our ever-changing ordeal. Thanks!

This storage unit is by far the worst I've had to ever deal with in my life, the customer service…read morethere sucks, the staff is as helpful as a block of cement tied to your leg as you're trying to swim. There's a rat infestation in the whole property and for what it seems like they haven't put any effort into getting this under control whatsoever (that is not comforting knowing that anything you put in their storage units is subject to damage from these creatures so don't think about storing any prized possessions in there). If you care about the things you want to store at a storage place then I would highly recommend not to rent from here.

One time my lock rusted. They verified my identity before helping me replace the lock. The site is secure. Key code in and out. Cameras and fencing. Good commercial neighborhood, down the rode from the airport. We were customers for almost 5 years. The rates were reasonable (no crazy price increases- reasonable), and the unit was high quality (D6 below). In those 5 years, we never had an issue with rodents or critters (just some spider webs)! Seriously! We also had our camper here for a short time. They have expanded and have plenty of space. Look no further. High-quality and clean. Bathroom on site too. Do note that there is no trash on site (what you bring in, you bring out). Thank you, Florida Secure Storage! You honor your name.

In August 2022, I showed up to pay my bill, only to find the office abandoned, and a new sign. I did not like the fact that there was no notice, but I took down the number to call and made my payment. I continued to make a total of 7 payments, each time speaking with a live person. When I made my payment this March, 2023, I was immediately met with a text, advising me that my access to my unit was blocked, because suddenly, they don't know me. Never at any time was my identity in question the whole time they've been accepting my payments. I never signed an agreement, in fact it was 4 months before they called to inform me that they were now owners of the facility. Otter has no manned facilities, therefore, nowhere to confirm my identity. They "say" that this is their rule, but I never received any rules, and reading their terms online, I see no such statement that allows them to deny access to a customer who has paid their monthly rent. And by the way, they hijacked the previous owners glowing reviews, and are claiming them as their own. Edit: This is for the Ocala location. It is showing that I am in Sorrento, that is incorrect.
