Moved in, clean but moving out less than a month, one reason is because the push carts are all the way at the front office and you have to park wherever and go to the front desk and then go all the way back around to drop it off. Everything was not what i expected. Had my car loaded and ready to move my things in and the doors were locked and closed even though hours are 6am-9pm. I was there at 7:20pm and the doors were locked had to reload everything back in my car. read more

Great facility. Nice and clean. Management very helpful even called me when I put the lock on wrong and didn't properly secure the unit. Make sure you memorize your code. You need it to exit the facility. ​ I did get a call when I left the unit late though. They are a bit strict about being off property by 9pm. My code wouldn't work to let me out of facility after 9pm. I was locked in the property cause I couldn't remember my code cause my cell phone died which was where i had my code stored so make sure you write your Code down in your wallet. You have to have it to get out of the facility. It was crazy being locked in the facility for 2hrs after it closed. Finally found an emergency number on the dial pad but I had no cell phone cause my phone had died. It was like Night At The Museum . I was literally stuck all because I had no working cell phone and code smdh. read more

This is just a fair consumer warning..... DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PUBLIC STORAGE! I have not been in my unit a year yet and already they have increased the unit rent TWICE! When called and asked why, they greedily reply with the 'when you moved in you signed a contract' bull-ish. Meaning they reserve the right to go up on your storage rent at any given time! Just shoddy and ridiculous! The scam is welcoming you in with the lowest rate of any competition and then hitting you across the head with more storage fees after you trust them and get moved in! I hate writing bad reviews put these place is absolutely horrible. I wanted to cancel, and I wanted my money back and corporate don't do absolutely nothing. There are no push cards anywhere to be found. When I arrived with a U-Haul truck so I could move in all of my things there was no dollies anywhere. I literally walked all over the entire place, looking for dollies, so I can move all my things which I had a truck full of them. When I wanted to cancel and get my money back, they told me that they couldn't. And that they were aware of not having dollies because apparently people steal them. So I was pretty much forced to stay because I already lost money being them and getting the U-Haul. The place is disgusting and also there's no AC in the units. The place is extremely hot inside.. The first floor stinks like mildew, and when I started moving all of my things. I saw several little roaches. This place is full of tiny roaches. It is infested. Period and I hate that I had to leave all of my things there just because I had no other option. And just a thought that I'm leaving my things in the place infested with roaches, it scares the hell out of me. Corporate should be ashamed of themselves for not taking good care of these property and for renting units this expensive and not even having carts to help people move their things. There is no safety when walking in the front doors the sliding doors open without even putting a code. Which is outrageous you'll steal my money, but you don't even have the enough equipment for people to moving peacefully. I'm just disgusted with his place. I don't recommend it at all. I'd rather pay $50 More a month going to a better quality and clean place than these piece of crap. read more

I was helped by Shakura who was very friendly, professional and provided good Customer Service. While I was moving my belongings into the Storage Space though The Manager Malachi was out back smoking one too many cigarettes. This kind of was unpleasant and the smell was awful (especially when you are inhaling while trying to move your stuff on a hot day). But overall, this Public Storage has a Great Person up front and the experience was quick and easy. Oh, and I would also recommend you buying your own lock since it cost about $20 there to purchase a lock to your space. read more

This location is not safe. The lighting in the far south parking lot does not work. You do not feel safe at all because the glass doors stay open all times of day and night. They have the door entry code on the inside of the glass door for you to get into the elevator but not to keep someone from waiting for you on the outside of the elevator when you step out. There should be a way to put that code entry on the outside of that glass door. On top of the lack of security, the location is a mess. You go into that same elevator that I am speaking about and it seems that the floor in there has not been mopped in months. There was broken glass and all kinds of filth. The front staff just stays in the office I guess, because I would hope that they do not walk the property and leave things that way. I would not recommend this place to anyone that I care about. I opened a storage account back in December with Sharonna and she was wonderful and very thorough. She was very patient in showing me how to go on the site and set up a reservation. She gave a tour and she recommended the size I may need to store my things. I've never used a storage facility and I thank her for easing my anxieties. She had a great personality and I would recommend her to anyone inquiring about storage spaces. I opened another storage account and I was welcomed by Rasheda who was very warm and sweet. I had a reservation so she immediately took me to my storage facility so I can see the actual size. She gave me great customer service and helped me through my enrollment process. With both of my storage enrollments I must say I am very satisfied with both of my girls who help me meet my storage needs. I would recommend these two young ladies to anyone considering opening an account with Public Storage. read more

I rented a unit here for a little over a year. My unit number 1317 was near a main entrance and I constantly heard other customers getting trapped because the door near the exit would never open. I discovered the door frame was loose and the magnet which holds the door closed would not release. You need to push on the door frame to put it into place so you could exit. I told the employees in the office but they never bothered to fix it after a year. The place is a fire hazard too. All of the emergency exits are broken. They are supposed to close automatically but they never repaired any of them after a year. I moved to a smaller unit on the third floor and discovered the elevator is usually broken. It was making a thrill noise in the motor for months before it finally failed. The staff had to know but did nothing. I tried to enter the unit one evening in September but the fire alarms were going off. The office should have been open but they left early. I called the fire department who came to investigate but they also found the elevator was broken. I was trying to leave the building through the emergency stairwell and found the exit was jammed. I wondered through the building trying to find a way out and decided I had to open the fire exit. I laughed when I did the fire alarm did not go off. I have a permanent knee injury and was unable to remove my stuff from this deathtrap for about 10 days. They also raised my rent from $115 to over $200 in one year. The main gate was often broken for days and since all of the door closers for emergency exits are broken anyone can get in. I saw one guy in a truck actually open the gate with his hands. If you don't believe me check yourself. I doubt they have ever bothered to fix anything. Be warned. read more

5010 Jimmy Carter Blvd Public Storage has one of the worst customer service teams I ever seen. They denied us access to our property knowing the bill was paid in full. Their employee never told us we needed to purchase a new lock to enter. She lied to us several times and I had to get the police to get to the truth of the matter. There expensive and have a lot of hidden cost. They had no respect for the customer at all. " Expensive Headache" unnecessary problems, problems !!! read more

I walked into a Public Storage the other day, not having a need before I had no idea what to expect. There was several people there and this guy named Malachi approached me and I explained my needs. He took me to a unit that would fulfill my needs and he explained to me how to pack my things. Then he started talking about a lock. l I thought a lock was a lock but he assured me this one would give me peace of mind. on the way back he started talking about boxes and other stuff, I told him I could get them from the supermarket, but he said they carry a scent and could attract unwanted pest.
