My storage unit here was burglarized -- and the only "notification" I received was an email saying it was "improperly locked." I ignored it because I knew I had locked it correctly. Weeks later I came back and found the unit had been broken into and ransacked. Two boxes of vintage hard drives were gone, containing ~20 years of my creative work. When I showed up, the unit had been re-locked by Public Storage, so I couldn't even access it. A staff member had to open it for me. He told me "thefts happen" and said he wasn't the manager (I later learned he actually is). The burglars left behind a crowbar and the cut lock, which I turned over to police for forensic analysis. A report has been filed. I was also told by police this is not the first burglary at this location. I've tried to file an insurance claim with Public Storage but can't even get a call back -- just voicemail. What's most frustrating is that if the original email had clearly said the unit might have been compromised, I would have checked immediately and might have had a better chance of recovering my stolen items. These drives had little resale value, but they were something I had intentionally saved for my future -- a personal archive of my work and life over decades. Do not store anything here that you can't afford to lose. read more

They changed my lock! I don't visit my stuff very often but when I did, my key didn't fit. This had me questionning my sanity. Talked to the person in the kiosk machine and they sent a message that the team would call me the next day to help me into my unit. 3 days later, I had to call and leave a message. Still no one called me back. I finally went down there to make sure the lock wasn't cut off and found the security gate was stuck open. Luckily, a nice employee came to give me the three keys to my new lock. If I had any energy, I would take this complaint high. They are slowly making some improvements to this place hence hiking my rates two times in one year. read more

The unit was set up as they promised. The app wirelessly opened the gate as they promised. The lock was in the unit as promised. I'm satisfied. I'm looking forward to everything going smoothly when I go back to pick up my stuff. read more

I shared a storage with a friend there and out unit got broken into (all of our personal stuff got stolen) and there isn't anything they can do to help due to the lack of security. It's a very sketchy spot with no cameras around the units so if someone breaks into your unit there's not much to do. Management is terrible, do not recommend anyone to come here your stuff will NOT be SAFE. read more

don't rent a storage unit here!! sketchy storage. security is the worst. the property manager is never there and never answers. my unit got broken into from a side unit and the district manager keeps saying they might know who it is, but hasn't done anything about it. seeems like an inside job, maybe the property manager lets other people in!! stay away from here. go down the street with umer, he's a super a nice guy and helps you out. security is better there too. read more

James showed me around the facility, provided useful tips and made sure that we were set up for success before and after the move. The place is clean, safe & has the appropriate necessities to move in/out. It helps that prices at Public storage are competitive & got a great deal. I recommend this facility. read more

Just moved to the city and this place was one of the first places I had to stop by to drop off my things. It looks secure and James assured me it was completely safe. And I believe it! Although it's a small place, I noticed that the workers will always look up to see who is driving through the gates! Although moving can be stressful, and most times storage workers can add to it. Not James. Literally is character and enthusiasm in human form. Received great help along with some good conversation and comedy. He not only made my experience easy, but also entertaining! Rented today at Public Storage. Same great service I have come to expect having used them quite a few times over the last 25 or 30-ish years, only better. Jennifer was super helpful, going over the contents of what I wanted to store to help me pick out how big a unit to rent, and letting me know they sell those damp-rid things so I didn't have to go to Home Depot to get them. Those things are amazing. Use them. They're like industrial power baking soda so you don't get a funny smell after storing your sofa. They have sofa covers, dish packs, flat panel TV storage boxes, and tons of great moving stuff. Jennifer was amazing. She knows everything, and she's nice. read more

I have been a tenant at his property and a Public Storage customer for over 20 years. Corporate attitude toward the tenants is shameful. Constant rent increases while new tenants pay substantially less for the same size unit. Security is a joke. Though there is a security gate for access to the property, there is only a single camera at the gate and no other other security measures. The front gate keypad was broken for a year "because it was kind of expensive to repair". Lame! Note: It was finally repaired and is currently functional. On-site management has been variable. Some managers have been great, others indifferent. Though the current manager is a good person, she has no control over maintenance. The place now looks dirty and tired. The final straw was a series of burglaries over the past 8 or 9 months. My unit was involved, but I was never notified. When I arrived to access my unit, I discovered it was "overlocked" with a lock form Public Storage in addition the regular lock. I was never delinquent with payment, What up? "Oh, your unit may have been broken into". Seriously?? a) you knew this was going on for many months and b) you overlocked my unit without informing me? You absolutely should have notified all the tenants about the situation and specifically notified me. The people on the 800 number are totally rude as well. This kind of broad disrespect can only come from the top. Don't reward Public Storage with your business. There are more affordable facilities nearby with better security. I'll be moving out. read more

The staff is friendly but the actual storage location is highly insecure and the ceilings in many units slant down at a 45 degree angle, meaning the unit is a triangle and half the floor space has a ceiling height of less than 4 feet. Unlike most public storage locations, the only security mechanism at this location is the exterior gate which requires a code. The building itself is not locked and no code is required to use the elevator. The units themselves have wooden doors and walls and the hardware for locking the units is affixed to the doors with just two 3/8" steel nuts. Unsecured would be an understatement. read more

The facility is what to be expected. James is a cool dude. My only gripe is that there is only one moving cart on the property. About 7/10 times I've been here the one cart was already in use and I would either have to wait up to an hour or carry up everything myself. They said the cart has been missing for over a month. I think they can afford to provide a replacement cart by now. read more

Customer service is a very big thing for me and so when I moved here I need a temporary storage and my sister gave me the number public storage and to ask for destiny... all I can really say is "AMAZING", from the moment I walked in, she greeted with a big happy smile. I let her know my situation and she was able to even get me a more suitable storage. She also reminded me that I didn't get my mattress cover, which she had... thank you Jesus. My unit got broken into and most of my electronics / valuables were stolen. It wasn't just my unit, there were other units that got broken into where they cut our locks. Amazingly they only have security cameras on the front entrance but none on the units themselves, so there's really nothing that can be done. Right now I'm waiting to get some compensation for my rent. I'd advise going somewhere else until this place gets its security updated. read more

I recently visited this location to pick up moving supplies for my move out of state. Jennifer was friendly and provided me options of different size boxes, tape, and other items. I purchased 3 different size boxes and plastic wrap. They were out of large size boxes in the office and she went to the back to bring out some for me. Jennifer was nice enough to offer to carry these items to my car, but I was ok handling them myself. I was happy with the service and they had the moving supplies I needed. read more
