    Always clean and easy to access but unfortunately renting a new space is always hassle. I've had an issues each time.

I have two of their large units that…read morerun $235ish a month and have had an issue every month since I moved my household goods there as we it for our house to be finished. To start, the elevator ‍. You need a code to request the elevator every time. Mind you, you already put a code in to enter the gate, then another code to enter the building, then you need it a third time to request the elevator, over kill and a time waster, especially when you are paying moving companies by the hour. The elevator doesn't have a run/stop switch. Makes it hard to load an elevator moving in or out. If you prop the door open to fill it, it shuts the elevator down and the staff has to come reset it. I ended up switching one of my two units to a first floor unit strictly because of the time it took to do two loads up to the second floor. Issue two. I bought multiple locks from Home Depot so they are keyed the same. On my second month bill, I get a charge for locks from them. I called and said I supplied my own locks. Response was, there wasn't anything they could since I was already charged, but they'd credit me the following month. Good enough for me. Did they do it? Nope. Shows lack of any follow through. Issue three. Today I get a call saying they are overlapping my lock because they are missing a form. They have everything else signed and dated THREE months ago, but today they lock my unit, because they can't find it. Units are paid on auto pay, but one form on just of the units allows them to lock my goods up. Now they hadn't called me to let me know, before this, which is the professional thing to do. Instead, make it so I can't access it, even though the exact same documentation is on the other unit. Issue four. When I set up my units, I did autopay, just so I wouldn't be late or miss it, while we are in transition. They only auto drafted one of the units and I get a late notice with a late fee. I told the lady who I called that everything is autopay and that they took for one of the units, why not the other? Response has been par for the course, "not sure why, but we'll remove the late fee." I'm a huge supporter of local, small business, but in this case, go to the storage unit a block north and avoid this place at all cost. When I asked for a managers number or the owners contact to be emailed to me, since I'm on the road, I got a snarky answer from the lady at the desk and still no contact info. The owner has 5 reviews on here, the two good ones are a form letter response and no response to the negatives. That should give you an idea of the management.

Although they didn't have the larger sized unit we needed, we took two smaller units and the price for both was reasonable. Getting paperwork done and moved in was pretty easy. Although I knew w were going in on promotional rates, when I inquired about future rate increases I was told rates do go up but they are reasonable when raising the rates. That turned out to be be utter BS. Six months in and we just received notifications that both units were jumping in price by nearly double. Oddly....they also raised the price of the "insurance" which made no sense since it presumably is a pass through with an insurer. The rate jumped from $185 per month to $328 per month. When I wrote to the manager to express my displeasure on September 7, I promptly got a response indicating, "let me look into this for you, give me a couple of days". Never heard another word and now two and a half weeks later they charged me the higher rate. We moved to avoid this kind of price gouging tactic to a company we assumed wouldn't bait and switch us like this. But they did anyway. Beware of this price tricks from CubeSmart.

They claim they are customer service focused but don't let them fool you, they are money hungry scam artists. I rented a unit and moved in the end of December 2023 and they sent a rent increase May 2024. This confused me because I have never seen a large rent increase like that, especially so soon after I moved in my unit. I called in May, the general manager ( Tammy) told me they sometimes have " yearly increases " and I informed her I haven't even been in there for 6 months, let alone a year. She said she would look into and give me a call back. I never received a call back from her or any further information. I called two weeks later, an employee answered and claimed they were going to speak to the company and get back to me. I never received a call back. I called two days ago asking about the status and he again said, he is going to speak to the company and call me back. I never got a call back. I finally just went inside the location and the general manager was extremely rude and nonchalant about the entire thing. I asked her if they would be decreasing the rate when the street rate goes down since that was the justification for It going up and she said no, that doesn't happen. I said so at any point in time you all can increase the rate whenever you feel like It and It won't ever go down, she said yes. I said to her why didn't someone inform me that there is a possibility of increases prior to a year and she said " it's not my job for you to read the lease". I said I called back in may and things are still not resolved and her response was " you aren't our only customer" and she lied and said they have been sending me emails and texts, both were false because the only communication between us was when I was calling and emailing. As I'm continuing to ask questions, she stated " i'm not arguing with you so you can leave my office". I firmly said no because I was requesting information for the corporate office. She wouldn't give me the information. It got to the point where she just stopped responding all together as i'm trying to speak to her and ignored me as i'm standing there. Along with the other employees who just stood there acting like I wasn't there. No solution was provided and no response from corporate was given even though they claimed they reached out to them. It was clear that they couldn't care less about their customers because they are just trying to fill their units for the highest price possible and push out all existing customers with their sneaky financial gain tactics. Overall this is the worst storage unit experience I have ever had. Don't be fooled by the rates they give you up front because in a couple months they will go up and continue to go up until the pockets of the company are satisfied. They are money hungry and don't care about customers at all. Be very cautious when considering this location. Also be very cautious of this extremely rude manager. Other reviews about this let me know i'm not the only person who has had a terrible experience with this location and their manager. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

    If I could give zero stars I would…read more Kim is the absolute worst employee that I have ever had experience with. I warn you about her she has the nastiest attitude. A month ago I had gone up there with my mom (who at the time just had a knee operation and could hardly walk) to get the key to the lock they had put on our storage so we could replace it with our own. My mom stayed in the truck while I went into the office to ask for the key and Miss Kim gave me the rudest attitude when I stated that I had come inside for my mother who can barely walk to get the key but she didn't want to hear it she yelled at me that my mom had to come inside. And then just this past Sunday my mother, sister, fiancé, and I all go to empty out her unit (to move her to a MUCH MUCH BETTER ONE), but we had to call and get another lock taken off our unit and Miss Kim was there AGAIN. My mom had called 30min prior to being there and told her that she was going to be there a few mins before 5pm and Kim told her that she was NOT going to stay 1 minute past 5pm because she had things to do after work. When my fiancé and I arrived at 5:07pm she was still there! And my mom had left to go get water for us around 6:30-7pm she was still there!!My mother has been a customer for 11 years and has put up with an outrageous rent increase and rude employees. Do better cubesmart.
