Over the holiday, I learned that a friend's locker at the HOOKSTON PLEASANT HILL had been emptied by thieves. Throughout the entire process the property manager didn't care to help resolve the situation and instead put my friend through three days of emotionally hell: his families' ashes were in the locker too. Not until Friday morning did the friend discover it was not his locker after all, but another locker. However, my friend came to a horrific realization: although PUBLIC STORAGE claims the premises are secure and monitored by SURVEILLANCE, Pleasant Hill Police confirmed that is false, and there is only one camera for the entire location: at the front gate. Therefore, if someone breaks into your locker, your stuff is gone and no way to help capture the culprit. The insurance takes the hit and then the insurance rates go up. So I wouldn't recommend using PUBLIC STORAGE until they install cameras in all the buildings, hall ways, and everywhere in the buildings to TRULY offer is client's piece of mind for the $400 they charge for units now. read more

I have never stored anything before and I have to tell you I would recommend this Public Storage to everyone, It is a really nice clean place with an outstanding manager named Hank he has been so helpful everytime I have needed something. The first unit i got was really small and the next time i went to my unit my containers where buckling so i went to the office and spoke with Hank he showed me a larger unit and they where having a 50% off so i got a much bigger unit for a great price not only that the new unit was just around the corner from my old unit. Hank your customer service is outstanding not only did you help me with getting a bigger unit you where able to do it that same day. This has been a great experience for my first time storing anything Thanks to Hank and Public Storage Sincerely, Janet Floyd read more

I went in to see about available units, unfortunately this location seemed pretty booked full, and didn't have the unit I needed. The sweet woman Rhonda behind the counter offered to help me find other Public Storage location in the area that would have my size unit I needed. She also let me know to check back towards the end of the month to see if they might have my unit size available. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to rent a unit. I would also recommend that you ask for Rhonda when looking to rent with Public Storage she is very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable of units and helpful of the unit size u would need depending on the amount of stuff you have. Thank you Rhonda for all your help in my stressful time in trying to find a unit! read more

This facility was very well kept and organized. I went in for some prices on the storage units and was greeted by a young lady named Ashley. We had a good conversation she even told me how her sisters name is heather too. I told her I would have to talk to my husband about the prices and see which size he wanted to go with. When I went back there was another man working his name was hank. Very friendly gentleman and very knowledgable. He helped me get all the right supplies I needed to help my move. Must say this was one of the best experiences I've had in awhile! I definatley reccommend public storage! read more

I just removed my belongings after having used the storage unit for 5 years. The facility is very clean, temperature controlled, and well run. I was even notified once when I had neglected to secure my lock properly. All my belongings were in the same excellent shape as the day I moved them in five years ago. The staff has been nice to work with, especially the gentleman who works there now. My only complaint is that I feel their annual rental fee increase has been way too high and totally out of line. However, I guess it's my own fault for not making the effort to remove my things much sooner. read more

Very good experience with this facility. Hank and the other attendants were very helpful and friendly. The place is clean and well secured. I never worried about the things that were stored here. So for customer service, security and cleanliness, it gets 5 stars from me. I will mention that the building always seemed very warm in the storage areas and cell coverage with my carrier was nonexistent inside the building, however those things are minor and likely out of their control. Because of the warmth, I would like to recommend installing a drinking fountain near the restroom. read more

The storage spaces are ok but what makes this place special is the customer service provided. Hank is the man you want to see. He is the man that makes the accommodations and he is great at his job. He actually makes you feel like you matter and that's a wonderful thing! I never thought renting storage space could be so pleasant. Everything was explained in such a precise manner, I doubt there will be any future surprises. As for the spaces: they appear to be secure, well lit and dry, I am thrilled I decided to rent my storage space here and from Hank! read more

Rhonda has been a life saver for us during our downsizing today. We had a million questions and she not only answered then but gave us very good solutions to problems that we were experiencing. I have never had a person go above and beyond to make an unpleasant move so easy and fun. Her attitude is very professional and her kindness was appreciated. We can't say thanks enough and we hope she is as appreciated as an employee to you as she was and has been for us. SINCERELY, MR. MRS GRIEGO read more

Hank has been so helpful, courteous, and professional! He patiently showed me units and upon inspection, they were very clean. What attracted me to this property was that it was climate controlled. Upon making a decision to rent at this location or not, I based it upon how very helpful Hank was from the beginning to the end. I always felt my belongings were safe at this facility. I highly recommend this location! Thank you very much Hank! read more

This company has provided consistently good quality and great service. This facility -- for many reasons -- exceeds my expectations. Employee Hank has been extremely competent, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Bonus: When I've had to wait in the lobby for friends to assist me with my relocations, on several occasions, he has shared interesting stories from his impressive career abroad, while I waited. read more

We rented a unit over a year ago and when we moved everything in Hank was so helpful with suggestions on how to stack everything to make the most of the space. The facility is so clean and access to the unit is so simple. Just recently my rent was held up in my bill pay due to a holiday weekend and was late, Hank called me to let me know. His call allowed me to avoid a $50.00+ penalty. Thanks Hank! read more

I want to give it 4 1/2 stars because it was hot in there today. The climate control is on the fritz today but there is a work order in to get it up and running again. My house is sold and I am moving into an apartment so there is a lot of stuff that needs a temporary home. Deena was a great help. She explained everything very thoroughly and I was very happy with her. read more

Talk about customer service, Hank the front desk person is AWESOME!. Hank goes the extra mile to make sure the facility is tidy. This facility has improved significantly. I used it years ago and it was filthy and had shoddy service. Now its clean and has a friendly old guy named Hank who really seems to enjoy helping people. One caveat, you really need to speak up, he's a little hard of hearing but has a heart of gold! read more

I am glad to leave a 5-star review for this facility. The grounds and units are clean and secure, and Hank the manager is very personable and attentive. I've used this location for almost 5 years with no complaints and Hank has been the manager since I moved in. Once again, gladly give 5 stars! read more

Hank does a great job at Public Storage for us. We started off with 4 storage units as we had sold our home and consolidated both parents home furnishings. We're down to 1 unit now and Hank has always given us the respect and courtesy whenever we come in. Thanks Hank. read more
