I don't normally write reviews because I think... hey what's the point, no one cares...right! But... I could not let this good deed from this young man go unnoticed. The manager, Mr. K Williams was AMAZING. I was having some struggles and couldn't pay my storage bill right away. For fear of losing my storage, I was preparing to remove my items from them and place them in another unit. Because I knew the previous manager/employee was a but-hole and a jerk and ran this facility sloppy. I knew my valuable momentos would be sold right away with him. (hmmmmm). Mr. K. Williams went out of his way to help me sort it all out. He was calm, friendly, thorough and professional. He helped me avoid this tragedy by helping me schedule payment arrangements and keeping me brisk to what I owe. He is a great employee!. Believe me, I would not use this storage if he was not there. Now this is the PUBLIC STORAGE I was looking for. I said that I was going to write a review, and I meant it. Bless any employee working here to maintain this run down location. I stored personal property, important paperwork and home goods here for safe-keeping. It was horrible. I got the first month $1 special, so I was on the third floor. ShortIy after move-in, a month or two, I noticed an infestation of roaches. I immediately went to the office to report them and purchased bombs from Albertsons on Crenshaw. Not cheap. Two months later I was planning my move out. The last two weeks of the month I start moving stuff. Just happens here comes the rain. Since I am using my car to move, I can only take 5 boxes at a time. Well what do you know! The roof caves in and gets the rest of my whole storage wet. The whole top floor leaks. The employees mop it up at the end of there shift is what I witnessed. I immediately told the office that my storage was all wet. "You'll have to file a claim", I was told. By time it stopped raining, my daughter begged me not to bring another box because she found a roach. I was livid and down to the last week of the month and I needed to get these wet boxes days before the end of the month, I went back to Albertsons for 2 more boxes of bombs, 50$. This Public Storage has an infestation. I set the bombs off. I came back the next day to get the rest of the wet and damaged property. Sure glad I had the insurance. Beware of the third floor during rainy season. read more

i rented from this baldwin hills public storage has the worst customer services rdue staff talking on the phone refusing to take my credit card payment she told me "can't you see i am on the phone talking to my girlfriend..." i reported to their corporate office and her supervisor; and nothing done the next door storage unit to me using a community wall stole a total of $15, 584.97 from my personal property, my household receipts, portable safe, credit cards; visa card data, our birth certificates of my family and children, passports and all our personal and business documents for months and public storage taff letthis black male who left his baseball cap and size 12 flip flops shoes in my storage unit he broke into with a gigantic hole the criminal tenant nxt to my unit we shared wall and sole small appliances, clothes, stereo equipment, tv sets, radios and a lot of other personal items i ha been sotorign with public storage for a year or two. do not patron them. they hlp the crimials rentignfrom them ntorpeortignthem totheir ocorppate oficies, lapd and this baldwin hills public storage company never protecting fellow long time automatic payment tenants. beware do not patron them!!! read more

The only reason I gave this place 1 star instead of zero stars is because the main employee, Cynthia, is awesome. She's friendly and does her job very well. My partner put the lock on our unit wrong and out of hundreds of units, Cynthia saw our mistake and called us to correct it. She is the shining star at this location. THE BAD: I haven't been late with a payment for 3 years. Recently they jacked up the price and my auto pay wasn't correct. I tried sending the $11 dollar difference but it never got there. The bank blamed the post office and Public Storage blamed me. The District Manager of this area would not extend a courtesy waiver of late fees because he said I could have walked across the street and paid it. Even if I could have stopped by, which I couldn't, this company and their district manager want to change me $38.60 for being late with $11. I did some research online (which I should have done before I rented) and there are 171 complaints about this company through consumer affairs: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/movers/public_storage.html BOTTOM LINE: Greedy company with unfair policies and prices. They don't think you'll move. I found a cheaper and cleaner storage place with longer access hours. MOVED. They don't deserve your business. UPDATE: The District Manager Chris Meyers called me after reading my negative review and waived all late charges and fees. That should have been his initial response regardless of my review on Yelp. This is the worst public storage I've ever encountered. My mother passed away and I asked them kindly just to allow me until 04/15/2014 to pay them because unfortunately mom didn't have life insurance and I need every dime to bury her, which her services are scheduled for 04/13/2014. I offered to provide them with her death certificate. To which Cynthia replied "NO". She is super rude and doesn't need to work with the public. Also, if you ever call yourself they never, ever, ever, ever answer their phone. This office is horrible and needs new management. read more

If there were a ZERO, this would be it. So this is all about the administration. I reserved online and showed up. I waited for almost two hours. I called and left messages. There is another property a few miles away. I went there, while my sister waited. They called and were equally frustrated. No one shows up? The phone isn't forwarded to someone? We were moving my Dad from assisted living to a SNF, so this location was most convenient. Next receive a template email saying, sorry that I didn't make it there! I've called and reached out and still no response. read more

Brenda is THE worst property manager I've ever come across. I have units in multiple other locations and I've never come across service like this. I reserved a unit over the phone, showed up just to see a sign that the property manager is on lunch till 4 (it was like 3:50)... mind you there is nobody else working so it's completely closed basically. As I'm walking away to wait for a call back this manager calls ME BACK so I come back thinking ok we're ready to go... just to see a NEW sign that now says the manager is on lunch till 4:30. Once again she is the ONLY person working, her car (I'm assuming) is the only one in the lot and not only that but once 4:30 comes around I realize she was upstairs where she could see me coming by this whole time.... wth. She comes out at 4:31 and tells me (even tho she had given me a call back to come finish getting the unit 30 min ago) "sorry there's nothing I can do for you today all systems close at 4:30, you wanna come back tomorrow?" ... Brenda sure isn't trying to make any of that money she's being paid to sit and take day long lunches for. Like she's not even trying to make the sale but she wants to be paid to eat lmao. read more

The eRental process was great, however, my interaction with the staff was TERRIBLE. I dropped by the unit to check it out before my movers came. When I did, I noticed there was no light bulb in my unit. I attempted to go to the office and no one was there. I called and no answer. It was around 1p at the time. After calling a couple of times, I left a message. My call was returned 2hrs later and when I asked about the light, I was told that a work order needed to be put in and it wouldn't happen that day. A woman who claimed to be the manager had a terrible attitude, told me it wouldn't happen, she had no other solutions on how to help and told me to "bring a flash light." She was more concerned about whether or not my move would be done by 6p so she could leave on time. It was very confrontational and soured me on the whole experience. I will be relocating my things as soon as my one month I have already paid is over. read more

Wonderful location and staff! Once I signed up on the website Cynthia was very prompt in reaching me to schedule a tour of the facilities and answer any questions. I have to say based on the reviews listed here I was hesitant to use this location, but it was the most convenient at the most inconvenient time in our lives. We had to move from a 3 bedroom to a 1 bedroom and had years of stuff... Thank you to the office staff and we even encountered the Manager who gave a helping hand in an overwhelming situation. This property at king Blvd is expensive plus you have to pay property fees, insurance, and rental fees. Costomer service is excellent by Ellison I asked to see the units before I moved in. I was happy with her service. read more
