It turns out after 6years of rental, I was paying for a 10x20' unit, but the unit was actually a 10x15' which rents for $70/month less! Nearly $5000 blown on nothing, and Public Storage offered me 2 months free! It's outrageous that they only offered me 2 months free, rather than giving me an apology and a refund!! If you choose to do business with this flaky outfit, be sure to measure your unit to ensure you get what you pay for. Protect yourself, because that's not what they do! They're just here to take your money and smile. I will NEVER rent from these people again, and I would advise you to keep searching. There is NO integrity here at all! read more

Stay away from renting Public Storage. Moved in April 2024. They raised my rent in January 2025 over $70. Got an email on 5-28-2025 that the rent is increasing on July 2025 again over another $70. Was paying $234.00 when first moved in. If I was to stay for July 2025 (I'M NOT STAYING) Ill be paying $393.00 for a 10' X 12'. NOT even worth it. I have been a renter for business storage in 2 locations for more than 8y. They always start you off at $250 a month then jack your rates until you bleed enough to move. Over $460 now in less than 2 y. The crap about it is they have a monopoly in the area. read more

Summary: Slightly dingy, but otherwise great public storage! I went online to check out prices, and they seemed pretty reasonable (I believe it was quoted $143 a month for a 10' x 15' room on the first floor in a climate controlled in-door storage room with the first month being $1). I went directly into the office and met with Linda. She showed me the facility and took me to the unit that fit what I wanted. To get to any of the units you have to enter a passcode, and then each unit is locked with a standard key lock (or lock that you bring yourself). The facility is a little dingy, but not unclean. There are also push carts that you can check-out, though they are also on the dingy side (no extra cost for these, but can only be checked out when staff is on-site during normal business hours (up until 5 PM at this location)). The room itself was spacious, and probably about 7' tall. She quoted me around $160 for the room, as the $143 was online only. I did have to make a reservation online in order to get the $143 price, which was a little obnoxious (why not just honor that in-store?), but it only took a few extra minutes. It was super easy to set everything up such as auto-pay and authorization for other people to access to the unit, all done from the tablet they have at the front desk. There is also a $24 one-time administration fee, and there was a one-time fee of $21 to use their provided lock. You also have to buy monthly insurance (ranges from $3000 coverage for $11, which I took, up to $5000 for $31 a month). It is very odd that they encourage not to keep valuables there, even with insurance. I dropped off the first load a few days after signing the agreement. Pretty easy to get to my unit, though there is no map on the first floor for some reason, so you might get lost the first couple times you're in there. It can also be a chore getting the push cart through some of the doors, as the doors close pretty fast. Overall, happy with the rental so far! read more

Public storage is a rip off business. I didn't even move in and my checking was charged very quickly. I canceled my reservation a week before my move in date. I spoke to the manager at the public storage. This is located right next to Highline college. The manager said I would be only be charged the admin fee of $29. I was charged the full months fee of $87. This is morally wrong and to me very unethical. Don't use this sham of a business. I would give no stars if could but remember this particular business is not there for the customer. Beware!!! read more

You'll have access during the daytime only, so if you work regular business hours you're SOL- they're not open during the evenings or early mornings. The office people are fine but have their hands tied, the manager is perfectly nice but totally unhelpful, probably also has his hands tied by corporate. Rates increase a lot, every few months, with no notice sent. As a traveling healthcare employee, when COVID hit and they reduced their hours I had no access to my unit. I ended up being out of town working for 4 months with two suitcases because the hours were so limited and I was traveling. Later discovered an issue with the door, got no help coordinating to get it fixed for almost a year (because, again, I travel out of town for work, thus the need for a storage unit in the first place) and I had to be there to do it. Not a good experience. I walked in assuming I was paying $1 for the first month (plus the BS admin fee), so $27 then. Nope! I ended up paying the full first month's rent. To make it worse, I called with questions about the procedure and got no response- not something I'm used to with storage, considering my last unit was at a family-run business. Some of this angst & disappointment could've been alleviated had they returned my call. Now, there's more. When setting up the unit with Sparefoot, I was told there would be equipment to use to move my stuff. NOPE again! Do not rent from this place. Gate hours are horrible, 9:30am to 6pm and if you go past they call with a warning. It used to be 6am-9pm when I signed up. Now that I don't have time to move my stuff out in the evenings they raised the rent by 30%. I'm sure it's not the managers fault, he's just doing his job, but the business itself sucks, Public Storage is the worst, never give breaks if you go over a day moving out and never give breaks if you get a late fee (20%). Support a smaller locally-owned storage if you can. I used to have several Public Storage units for my business but this is the last one and can't get out soon enough. read more

Tina helped to set me up for online payments and the whole process was friendly and efficient. Everything was made clear and Tina expertly handled all problems-the lady who was stuck too close to the gate, the grumpy man who came in and wanted to be served immediately, also greeting the couple who had come in to rent a unit. This lady is dynamic and a multi-tasker without losing her cool. Shawn, Brian and Tina helped me to load storage boxes into my little car so that I could get on my way. These people are very sincere and it feels good to talk to them on every visit. No stars at all! Our unit was broken into along with 20 other peoples. Luckily nothing was stolen from ours because of the full size washer and dryer in front. This place has no heated or even insulated units. Mold was growing on the walls not just on our items. ALL of my clothing, shoes, books, and pictures I had were destroyed by water and mildew!!! Rats running around the property, and only a handful of cameras to survey the area. Just an overall disgusting place to store your items. read more

Rented this place rather last minute when I realized that I was going to be purchasing a house a bit quicker than I expected and moving things into my friend's basement was going to be a massive pain... especially if it meant moving them all back out in about a month! Calling around I found a lot of different prices for drive up units but with a piano and a bunch of heavy furniture from staging my previous home I didn't want to do anything with an elevator. This storage facility was inexpensive and had exactly what I was looking for. I kept the place for one day over a month and there wasn't any problem with this... they charged me the day prorated rate and that was all. Total pleasure renting from these folks. I don't suspect I'd need to do it again in this location but if I did I'd definitely choose this public storage location again. read more

Stored my belongings and my car here while I was at home for two months. Everything went smoothly and the ease of it all was fantastic. They show you your unit before you decide to sign and the staff is helpful and friendly. The only reason I gave them a 4/5 star review is because my unit's ceiling sprung a leak and puddled near the front of the door. When I told the employees about this upon vacating, they were first and foremost concerned for my stuff and then said they would get on it quickly. After having our unit here broken into because the latch was deficient and having a ton of our stuff stolen, we were repeatedly lied to by the staff about the circumstances of what happened. No, our lock that you forced us to buy from you for $40 wasn't tampered with. Your latch was not secure at all. After approaching the staff about it we were given the choice of keeping what wasn't stolen in the same unsecured unit or paying more to move to an actual secure unit. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR STORAGE NEEDS. I've had nothing but trouble from them the entire six months I've been storing my things there. First, their advertising is misleading. That "first month for $1" promltion is a lie. They say the first month's rent is $1 but what they fail to mention is how they're going to hit you with miscellaneous fees and mandatory insurance. I ended up spending around $50 just to move in, but I was in desperate need so I just took it. Then they tell you that any boxes you buy and don't use can be returned for a full refund. Sounds nice. Then the sales rep recommends I buy a pack of assorted size boxes because the bundle is cheaper, but again fail to mention that the refund only applies to boxes you buy individually. To get my refund I would have to return the whole bundle which was clearly not possible because most of the boxes were used. When I mentioned that I was guided towards that decision without being made aware of that fact, they refused to do anything to help me out. As if that wasn't enough, at no point did they mention that they don't prorate you for the time you don't use the unit if you move out early in the month. I'm moving out on the 1st of June and they're making me pay for the entire month for one day of use. Then I'm sure they'll turn around and rent that unit out for the rest of the month and double dip. Shame on you. I've stored my things multiple times in my life at various places and I've never had such an awful experience anywhere else. DO NOT give these shady dealers your money. On July 4th 2013, I had the privilege to have the Property Manager Savina assist me in resolving a storage issue for my mother's storage unit. Savina was very professional and understanding that my mother had open heart surgery and is currently on dialysis. Savina reviewed every option available with me. I worked in the past as district manager for a major retailer. I must say that Savina demonstrated and used good customer service skills to resolved my issue. I've never had an issue with the people here. They've always been straightforward with anything coming up. Had my unit for over 2 years now, I'm in and out of it all the time. I'm happy someone got around to painting the exterior of it and cleaning up all the debris floating around. The managers have always been nearby whenever I needed to talk to them (last time there was a leak in the roof, damaged my shitty couch in there oh well, but the manager got to it as soon as I let him know, had the report done and everything that hour in case I wanted to file an insurance claim, apparently the roof was fixed I no longer have water leaking anywhere and was also offered to change units free of charge at any time in case I wasn't happy) what else can I say? I was looking for a storage spot close to Sea Tac Airport, so called the office on Saturday morning. The property manager, Savina, invited me to come by, gave me a tour and within 20 minutes the paperwork was completed. I felt very good about the facility and she assured me that she lives onsite and that there hasn't been any trouble with any of the storage units. I was in a hurry and she went out of her way to assure me that it was no trouble...she really was delightful, caring and I left feeling very good about renting a space here. read more

1st of all I had been calling all morning during business hours to get information about renting a 2nd storage but nobody answered the phone. I finally got a call back from Stephanie and scheduled a time to come in to get the unit. When I got there I had to wait for her to help several customers that came after me. I had two furniture deliveries that I scheduled 45 minutes after my appointment 12:30 appointment with Stephanie thinking that things would run smoothly(WRONG). I had people waiting in the parking lot while she continued to help other people. Finally she got around to finishing up my paperwork and asking me to do a review on how my visit was. 2 days later I get an email stating that I was being charged a $30 late fee because my 1st storage was past due. I'll be the 1st to admit that it totally slipped my mind, but I would have thought that Stephanie would've mentioned my past due balance before renting me another unit. I called in and of course nobody answered the phone AGAIN.... so I left a message stating that I felt it was a miscommunication and asked that the fee be waived. I shortly received a call back from Stephanie who was very rude and argumentative. I demanded that she told me her supervisors name. She told me she was in fact the supervisor. After I told her I knew she wasn't she gave me some bogus number and hung up. They need to retrain her on her customers service skills with emphasis on respect and appreciation for public storage customers...THAT IS HER JOB... RIGHT? read more
