Anytime someone thinks of having to move in or move out its always a frown knowing the extensive work that you are about to endure but Sandy from Public Storage on Ella Blvd (facility manager) in Houston, Texas put a smile on my face as she made the process quick, easy, and comfortable. She explained all necessary dos and don'ts ;expectations of the facility. She had great customer service and the process was smooth. I told her what I was looking for and she accommodated exactly that no extras or up sales were attempted. She also told me about the Public Storage app and all its perks. One thing I enjoyed most about the app is that you can go in and out of the facility smoothly as you can gain access with a touch of a button on your smartphone. I received a request to leave a review on yelp via text message. I am not going to leave my full review just yet. I ran into an issue with checking in to my storage unit and property management. I have reached out to the district manager Michelle Mesa, and have left a few messages without a return call. They have my email and phone number. My issue started last Thursday, 9/23/2021. As of now, Public Storage has cost me more money than just my storage unit and my time. Before leaving a full review, I would like to see how Public Storage or Michelle handles this issue. wish that i was able to give no stars. do not choose this location or apparently any public storage locations, they constantly raise the cost of your unit and the going rate is way less than what they want to charge you for your current unit. and the reason behind it is "all storage facilities raise your unit cost every 6 months), i've never experienced this in all my years of renting storage units. i only came to this location because the facility i wanted to use was closed and this location was very close in proximity. they cant help you with anything unless you pay and when you pay they still cant help you. i have yet to receive a waiver of any kind at this facility and i am still unable to get any type of assistance. the entire city is tryong to recover the damages of hurricane beryl but oh well they don't care and aren't trying to. how am i paying $139 for a unit that is currently going for $65($95) please help me make sense of it! they are only full of automated generic responses. dont be late ever and expect any courtesy waivers. with this company its forbidden to receive any help or acts of kindness! and to be clear im not even asking for a waiver of anything just would like my unit to cost the same every month. read more

It was relatively easy and fast to reserve and rent a space. The staff was friendly and helpful.

They raised the price in rent almost $50 dollars during COVID-19 without any notice or heads up and they continue to raise the rent over $200 for a medium sized storage unit ! read more

We just moved to TX from CA. We looked at other Storage Facilities but when we stopped to Public Storage and met with Tiffany, she is why we decided to rent a storage at Public Storage. There is nothing really wrong with the location on Ella, but the company guidelines within itself. I have had a unit with Public storage for about 2 or more years, initially my payment was $18 and then went up to $22 which was fine. However, my recent upcharge was to $51 a month. I called to question why it increased so much and the rep that answered was rude and told me that it says in the bylaws or contract that I am subjected to an increase. I completely understand that but, what I am not understanding is how it increased so much when the first increase was only a few dollars. I attempted to ask her that and phrase my question in that way and she repeated that I am subjected to rent increase. She then stated that she will put in a request and should take 24-48 hours for a reply. I never got that reply and its been about 3 weeks. Apparently being a loyal customer means nothing and they have no rhyme or reason for how they increase prices and I don't think it's a hard thing to answer or create a foundation that the phone reps can answer. read more

Terrible service. Terrible security. Terrible area. Service: I rented a parking spot for 8 months. Vacated the premises 3 weeks before the monthly charge. I expected a pro rated refund but instead I get a charge, the reasoning behind is I didn't stop in to the office when I vacated, but no one was there so I called the next day. Security: Before I decided to vacate I went to get my trailer and noticed someone broke my hitch lock off luckily I had 2 other locks but when I called in and informed the staff what happened they said they'll look into it. Ive had my stuff there for a little over a year now they do honor the $1 a month, i started paying $139 for a 10x20 storage in May then it increased to $161 on September and now its increasing to $178 next month... You'd thing since i've had them for a long time that i wouldn't be paying such increase. As of now i'm looking for another storage... they did notify me that my storage was unlocked one day that i must of been in a rush so that was nice but other than that the price increase are way too much for me. read more
