I rent this place as it is convenient to me regarding the distance to my residency. However, after being there for 4 months they raise the price for 40% and luckily I am about to move out. However, on the day of moving out, when the I and the movers went in we found out 60% of my boxes was soaking wet and moldy. The roof is leaking! So all my properties are damaged. Including leather goods, furniture, clothes and electronics. Now I have to spend money to get rid of my belongings as they are moldy and wet. I called their customer service and the lady answered the phone only lightly said "oh well I don't know what to said" and she passed me an insurance clam #. Now, I am dealing with the insurance. I know this things happened but I think this should be preventable if the business plans their operational expenses on regular maintenance. Also, I was never able to contact any staff on site. I want to like this place but no, I am just very disappointed. You think it is safe to keep your stuff there but no, you are paying for a leak roof. read more

It's the one that we have used in the past and we would consider coming back - except for the prohibitively high pricing, which I guess is because it's one of the biggest and most trusted brands, and a good location of said brand, and also in a fairly rich area. read more

I prepaid one year rental ($42/month) on a 10'x10' storage unit with CubeSmart with the promotion of getting the 13th month free. However, Public Storage bought over CubeSmart a few months ago and do not honor the contract I had with CubeSmart giving me the 13th month free. Public Storage had me to sign a new contract with pages and pages of fine print. In it there is a mandatory insurance charged by Public Storage. If you do not sign up with their insurance, the storage unit rental agreement would be going forward to completion. It keeps on saying you have the right to get your own insurance. However, the wordings are going round and round such that it is difficult to find out how it was exactly to cancel Public Storage's insurance. After spending two hours reading through all the contract document and navigate the different webpages on Public Storage site map. I finally found a link leading to cancel the Public Storage contract. I am a well educated and well read person. For most people they would find it difficult to cancel Public Storage insurance in the myriad of legal document. This kind of entrapment practice is typical of big corporation. read more

New unit was $75 which I thought was a little high but I paid because it was urgent. 5 months later, price was increased to $100. This is regarding he cleanliness of the exterior of this business. I am a neighbor who walks their dog every morning next to this public storage. I'm disgusted to say that there has been a used tampon on the sidewalk of Brun that hasn't moved for a month. (I told myself I would give it a month to see if lawn men came and disposed of it, in addition to trimming back the hedges & palm tree that are encroaching on the sidewalk.) I have been renting since 2017 and I have had a fantastic experience with staff members. Nobody is perfect, but this Public Storage for its location & convenience for me is fantastic. The staff members have really tried to give the upmost excellent quality customer service due to circumstances out of their control (recent multiple burglaries). I started renting from this PS in Dec 2019. After the introductory $69 a month they have raised my rent every 6 months to a current rate of $136 month - roughly $10 every single 6 months. Be careful when you rent a storage unit. My only experience is with Public Storage, but it was not a positive one. I signed up for a unit based on a "special" rate. I understand that the rate is not permanent, but here is what I experienced: 6 months later, my monthly rent increased 20%; one year later, it increased another 20%; and then another year later it increased another 20%. That's a 60% increase in 2 1/2 years. I called Public Storage corporate and only received an offer to find a smaller unit to decrease my monthly rent. It incentivized me to get out. We donated to charity, friends and found ways to store what was left. read more

DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM THEM!!!! I rented a unit from them and all my belongs were stolen. The lock was not broke and some how they got in. They were the only one with the keys. The manager said she didnt know than when I went in to talk to them her story changed 3 times. Oh and she said the keys were unverisal. WHY WOULD THEY BE?DUMBest thing I heard! Nothing was adding up. Rented this unit from Michael, the property manager, who was extremely pleasant and kept assuring me he was going to "do my a favor" on my rate as long as I "did him a favor" back. I took that to mean leaving a great review on here and went on with renting my unit, at the end of the process Michael then informed me that the company is having a contest for a trip and that my required "favor" in return for the first month free was that I was to purchase merchandise from the store. I obviously didn't NEED any merchandise as I was there only for the unit, and after explaining that to him he proceeds to become incredibly rude, insisting that he did me this favor and now I owed him. I was literally bullied into purchasing a packing box I did not even need just to show I bought something, but he was still just as unpleasant since I only got ONE box and it wasn't enough for him. Since then my account has had issue after issue that seems all too coincidental. If you rent a unit here, be sure and satisfy Michael's bullying to ensure your payments don't mysteriously have issues and late fees show up. Also, don't expect carts to be on the property for convenient use...Michael keeps them locked up in the front office with him requiring you go all the way outside the property into the outdoor elements to get and return a cart. It's ridiculous. I can't wait to be done with this unit. read more

I received text information after completing and paying for my reservation online. The instructions I received indicated that my unit was on the first floor. They also stated I could access the unit through the gate from 6 am to 9:30pm. I reiterated this when I moved in. I could not move in with out visiting the office. My gate code worked but the only elevator that would give me access to my unit was "out of order". I left, came back the next day. Fortunately the person in the office fixed the elevator simply by removing the "out of order" sign. I asked him if I would be able to access my unit when the office was closed. He said yes. He told me I should be able to enter until 9:30 pm. I showed up at 8 pm on another occasion. I could not access my unit. When the manager called me back he was defensive. The boiler plate on all of my emails now states that the store hours are the same as the office hours. access is only until 6pm.... Also last time I went to pick something up someone left their Shrine in the hallway. If you're into the whole horror in real life... 10/10 recommend. read more

The facility, unit and access to it are very good but management integrity and communication is questionable at best. The one issue we had was that the light in the large unit we rented on the interior third floor was not working when we move in. Very dark and hard to find things even with a flashlight. We were upset that the unit was not inspected and light fixed before we filled up a 10 x 20 unit. When we asked it to be fixed the manager Michael asked that we leave the key with him and he'd take care of it. After three weeks of it not being taken care of we decided we'd rather have the key back as we were starting to question the integrity of the management. Repeated further attempts to get the manager to get the light working resulted in a variety of explanations: 1.) The manager said the light needs a ballast and the corporate office has not approved the cost of a ballast 2.) The corporate office said there were wiring issues that were currently being worked on and that the light itself was in working order 3.) Follow up with both the manager and corporate office indicated that they were still working on trying to figure out the electrical issues for the light in the unit 4.) Manager indicated we could move to a unit that had a working light but we would need to incur the cost and labor to move our items. So electrical wiring in other parts of facility were ok? 5.) The manager changed his story to indicate the Public Storage will no longer provide lights for the storage units - what? He went on to say that if this was unacceptable we could move out of the unit and his facility After 15 months of this we were able to move out of the unit. I will never know what the real story was but will always remember groping around in a crowded storage unit with a flashlight to find my stuff. TIP: Make sure the light works before you rent a particular unit or at least before you move your stuff into it. read more

Stopped by the public storage to get a better feel for the size of the unit and realized I would need a larger space, 10'x7' or 10'x10'. Michael helped me decide what unit would work best for the amount of objects I wanted to store. He also suggested since I have a mattress and sofa to not store those items in the outdoor units and to use the climate control units instead. This is a very convenient location for when I was between moves and Michael is a great employee. Many folks seem to be just going through the motions on their job, but Michael was so energetic, dynamic and very focused that I should have an excellent experience. The rental process was okay, the units are okay, the service and the facility is just okay. It was the closest storage location to me that's why I settled for this location, otherwise I would have chosen a new storage company. Pro is the convenient location. Cons: dirty and very old facility, rental price is expensive (gone up 50 dollars since aug 2017), facility carts are never available, and maintenance requests are ignored. read more
