$ Saving Tips 1. Reservations-make reservations online by going to the Public Storage website. You get better prices and better deals/promos. Walk-In-Customers usually get ripped-off. 2. Insurance-Decline their Orange Door Insurance. Use your own insurance like "Homeowners" instead. Why double pay when you may already be covered by one of your insurance providers? Call your insurance providers to find out. You don't need to provide them with proof of insurance coverage, just decline at the time of rental. If you do buy their Orange Door Insurance, go for the cheapest and don't store more than you're covered for. If they ripped you off already and you're currently renting, you can remove their insurance at any time to save money, just visit the office. 3. Overpriced merchandise-Buy cheaper merchandise (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.) elsewhere. 4. Overpriced locks-Secondary-locks (padlock, disc-lock, etc.) aren't necessary. It takes a thief less than 1 minute to break through all door locks. If you do buy a secondary-lock, buy for cheaper elsewhere. 5. Promos/Deals-If you're a Current-customer you don't qualify for a new promo/deal during transfers or renting additional units. Only New-Customers and Returning-Customers qualify for deals. To be considered a Returning-Customer you must vacate for at least 7 days. You also can create other accounts using other names to get promos/deals. 6. Late Fees-Each customer is entitled to a one-time late fee waiver. If you ever get charged a late fee, you can request this waiver to get a refund. 7. I used the Public Storage facility in Ewa Beach for over five years. I needed environmentally controlled storage that was secure. I was assigned a unit on the second floor, which was acceptable to me as there was an elevator and pallet cars provided. Unique security codes are assigned to each renter, which are required when entering the storage building and using the elevator, so being out of the country I was confident about the security. I forget who helped me initially five years ago, but when moving out, Wayne and the other office staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful. They supported all of my needs from providing business cards left by moving companies to directions to the local refuse dump. Originally I had intended to use the storage facility for only a year or two, but after returning five years later, everything was in tact as I had left it. I had some moisture-sensitive items in the unit, but I was delighted to find no mold, as is problematic on the islands. Returning to Oahu to retrieve the remaining items was stressful as so much time had passed, but Wayne and the staff made the experience easy and trouble-free. Period! I operate an online storefront and send hundreds of fragile, vintage, and near irreplaceable items from Oahu every month. While I've never utilized their storage locker services, I have determined that they are the most economical and cost efficient supplier of large/small bubble wrap, packing paper, and cardboard boxes on Oahu... much more economical than even the local UPS Store and similar. Such cost savings on packing supplies and materials aid in keeping my operating expenses low; yet, I'm able to still pack my products with quality-made shipping supplies! Weaver- is a dream to work with! She provided a quick, safe, hassle free experience, and got my husband & I an affordable 10x20 (200 sq. ft.) storage unit in less than 30 minutes.  We got just the right size unit we needed - not too big (no upsell) and not too small - during the property tour I was able to verify that our unit was very clean, dry, and easy to access prior to signing/paying for anything.   Overall, I was very impressed with the customer service and level of care that was taken during the entire process. Its actually been a long time since I've experienced awesome customer service like today. Also, they have a very convenient auto pay system that will deduct the rent from your account/CC every month, which is a really huge perk for me.  I HIGHLY recommend this facility- and definitely ask for Maggie cause she'll take care of you! read more

I reserved a storage space yesterday and they called me to confirm and I asked for one more day to do it because we were on the process of moving back to the mainland and we were not sure if we were selling the furniture or just putting on the storage. ... they were perfect and said that wouldn't be a problem I spoke to Paulette she was great and helpful. I received a call today and I asked to cancel the storage space because we ended up selling everything on the last minute. ..I spoke to the manager which unfortunately I can't remember the name but he was also perfect. So all I have to say is that they have really good customer service and they really try to accommodate your needs as best as possible. And they also have great price! Public Storage in Ewa Beach is great. Had an issue of trying to get an out of state storage unit and Wayne did an awesome job contacting the mainland location as well as his district manager to make this happen. He was professions, courteous and very patient. It took longer than normal but he did great helping me and taking time to assist other customers waiting. Great place and all the work he did, it is the location in Oregon that is making money off of my rental but Wayne treated me as though I was a paying customer at his location. We have been storing our stuff for quite a while at this facility. It is a clean facility with super friendly staff. Last weekend we we interested in seeing if an exterior unit was available that would provide us with drive up access. Wayne was very happy and found two options for us. He reviewed our needs and recommended a unit that would be perfect for us. He quickly processed the paperwork and we had access to our new unit within minutes. Our unit is very clean and easily accessible. Kathy and Lee were very helpful and understanding of our need to move quickly and the stress level involved.
