Got a storage unit for the first time, the lady showed us where ours was since it was confusing on the paper, i was disappointed that this facility didn't have an elevator since ours is on the second floor :( I have a bad back and they don't have an option to choose which floor you get. The rates go up 4-5months after you move your stuff in. $15 at first then to $50 now. It's very dark since there aren't any lights in the unit, I have to use my phone flashlight, and it's not temp controlled. read more

We mentioned several times about the feces behind out trailer, used toilet paper, and other trash. Finally decided to take our travel trailer somewhere cleaner. Yes, it did cost us more a month, but we felt that we needed to go elsewhere, since our issues were not being addressed. The staff was always friendly, if it had not been for someone defecating in our storage area, AND the trash, we might have stayed. Price reasonable to park vehicle. Was given Wrong distance to Cincinnati Airport by representative Oct 18 when he made my booking, said 7 mile from Airport but it was 24 mi. Consequently I was late for Flight & had to rebook which cost $50. + Uber to Airport $50. + Hotel $185. Parking area secure, but bit of trash strewn around. I talked to brandy and her reply was well thats what our system says and i asked her to go back and let me show it to her and she won`t. Well there`s nothing i can do is her reply. So then I call cooperate office and they said there is nothing they can do. Well you people can do something. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are crooks and they hire thieves. Brandy carefully watches your unit and illegally goes into it. She WILL SELL YOUR ITEMS TO HER CLOSE FRIENDS OR FAMILY OR HERSELF! I am shocked that after being a customer for such a long time our family heirlooms were stolen and sold in "auction" but according to our investigation they saw one person there trying to "buy" our unit. She spoke to us on the phone and lied about dates because she knew we lived out of town. This is the worst location in the history of public storage you should be ashamed of yourself Brandy and ever single so called worker there who steals and lies. I was a little confused. The map they sent me email said building F then my storage unit was F but when I got there the out side of the building was marked A. We only found it because we rented an upstairs unit. Building A was the only unit with an upstairs. The unit was nice ,clean and actually not as hot as I expected. I didn't need temp. Control room but being up stairs ijust thought it would be hotter than it was. There was a hand cart right at the top of the stairs which was very nice to use. We couldn't find a dolly to use ,. It would have been a big help but it is what it is . We had a light fixture in the unit but the string was broken and no light switch. It would have gotten a better rate if we could have actually used the light in the unit. The hallways are well lit but wish the steps were better lit. We used online to reserve and pay but because we brought our own lock we still had to go into the office to return their lock so we could get our money back for. Bring your own lock. They charge $20 for a $5 lock. We did quickly and easily get a refund for the lock. Great job to the company for that. The office staff was very nice and polite. Over all we are happy with the unit and price. We just got the unit so hopefully things keep going well. read more

So I thought everything was great. I went to rent a space because I was tired of carrying boxes to my third floor apartment and I needed to get everything out of my old apartment in the next two days. There was no way I was going to get my stuff out of the old apartment and into the new apartment, so I decided to store it and come back for it a little at a time. The office wasn't open but the relief manager Tawnya was there and said I should go home and reserve the space online because it would cost more if I did it in person. Wow, thanks! Great customer service right. Wrong. Wait for it. I reserved a space with a $1 first month rent special, with admin fee, the website said the total cost to move in would be $25. Great! So far so good. Wrong. I didn't see the fact that this unit was on the second floor negating the entire point of getting a storage unit. After checking a couple of other storage places who were all closed on Sunday, I went home and checked the Public Storage website again and found a larger space on the ground floor with the same move in special (supposedly) and changed my reservation. I went back to the location and Tawnya showed me the space before I filled out the paperwork. She had a lock in her hand and I asked "Oh the lock comes with it? I thought I was going to have go buy one. Cool." Tawnya replied "Yep it comes with it." We went inside and filled out the paperwork. She had me intial a spot that said something about insurance. I had seen the signs about buying insurance. I didn't have anything of real value in the storage unit and I wasn't going to wreck the space, so I wasn't planning on buying insurance. Again I asked, "does this insurance come with the space, because I see all the signs that talk about it being extra?" Again Tawnya assured me it came with the space, After all the forms were filled out, I gave her my credit card, she charged it and I thought everything was hunky-dory. I had exactly $25 in cash on me and if I had tried to pay with that I would have found out that there $1 move in special was not $25 as promised on the website, but $68.08, which is what I woke to find out had been charged to my card. Imagine my surprise when I checked my credit card balance. I had just had to pay $1735 for my apartment deposit a week earlier and as you might imagine, I was strapped for cash by this point of the weekend. So now I have $14 to my name until my next paycheck. I called the location, assuming it was a mistake. They proceeded to give me the runaround claiming that they had never said any of this stuff was included and that I had agreed to pay this amount. They gave me a customer service number which did not have an option to speak to a real person. I called the 800 # on the PublicStorage.com website and pretended to be an interested renter (the only way to speak to a real person in a timely manner is to pretend to be someone wanting to give a company money, btw). They transferred me to an actual customer human who said he could only see the part of my bill that didn't include merchandise purchases (which I didn't make and which I was calling to dispute). The part of the bill he could see was $8 more than the website said was the "Move In Price." The customer service guy said the only person who could help me was the District Manager, who was conveniently named Richard. I called Richard only to find that his mailbox was full and couldn't accept messages. So here I am stuck with a charge almost 3X what I was quoted and no way to dispute it. So to sum up, DO NOT RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE, ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION. The move-in price quoted by the website is not even accurate before the location staff get involved. In this case, the relief manager (Tawnya) and the property manager (Hollie) are both scam artists who have no problem lying straight to your face and then pretending they never said any such thing when you try to dispute the charges. read more

I was there to rent a storage unit. I was quoted a reasonable price. They were offering a special, one month free rent. First it turned into getting the 2nd month for half price instead. I dont know why I agreed but that was alright and I needed the unit today because we were moving. After all the paperwork was done my $38 special turned into a $88.16 ordeal. The lock $18 was manidatory and so was the extra $9 a month insurance. I told her that was not acceptable and told her to refund my card. She said it went through and she wasnt going to refund the transaction! I ended up disputing the charge with my bank PNC. Guess what? the back took the charges off and then 30 days later charged me again. Is this nuts or what? Small claims court here I come. read more

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. Staff is rude. District manager doesn't return calls. I was given a unit with a light because I requested one with, to then find out after being told the bulb needed replaced that my building actually doesn't have electric LOL. Then they make you buy one of their locks..ok no problem, but the locks arent even weather resistant. LOL. So i have a rusted lock on my unit that's almost impossible to get on/off. Not to mention, I'm along side of a junk yard so feels very unsafe when accessing my unit. Now they've raised my rate without sending me any notice and Denise in customer service just wants to argue about it instead of answering my questions. I will be moving out and i will never recommend Public Storage to anyone! read more

I reserved a space online a week prior to my move. The online system was extremely easy to navigate and Brandi was immediately able to pull up my reservation up arrival. the process was simple, easy and very cost effective. The unit was clean and in a great location to the front gate. Brandi walked me to and from the unit for inspection and had my auto payment and access set up in minutes. This is my second time renting from them, and it will be the last. All my belongings are safe but the people that work there are awful and rude. I always try stop in and try to talk to them about my issues I'm having with billing and no one is ever there. it doesn't matter what time of the day it is, no one is there ever! I paid them on the second. I get an email on the 5th that I'm late and I need to pay.so I called on the 5th after receiving the email and I talked to this lady that wasn't informative or nice, I told her my problem and that i already paid on the 2nd, she just said oh your good, bye! that was rude of her, I was still talking to her and she just hung up on me. Then on the 8th, I get another email saying I was delinquent and that I need to pay. remind you the lady told me I was good. so now its the 12th. I tried to go up there twice a day for the past 3 days and NOONE IS THERE! why have hours posted if no one is goin to be there when their supposed to be open? I will never use this public storage again. I didn't have this much problems the first time I used them, but new people are working there now and it sucks.. don't try to call either, they wont pick up. Tawnya is rude! read more

I had a boat stored there for 20 years. Never once did I have a problem with vandalism, theft, or anything else. In particular, I want to thank Brandi who over the last couple of years has been very helpful and accommodating as I prepared my boat for donation to a good cause. She has a very cheerful disposition, is professional in her demeanor, and is well suited for excellent customer service. Horrible staff and facility. Rates are cheap to start but continue to raise at an alarming rate. Short term may be ok but if not, they will double your rent within two years. You are truly just a unit number to these people. Started out at 64.00 a month and two years later it was 110.00. read more
