I had to store some boxes from work here, and there is absolutely nobody working here. The "App" they use is ridiculous and doesn't work 75% of the time. I cannot go in and go out as I please because it doesn't work. How about a regular lock and key??? I don't want to be stuck in a public storage parking lot all weekend because the gate won't let me out. Please, get some actual people to man this location, or I am out. read more

Local Manager was super helpful and respectful. Other than that, nothing was good. Rented a 10 X 25 outside space to park a large Sprinter van. When I got there, they sent me to the assigned spot. It was not 10 X 25, but 8 by 14 or 15. A standard parking space. Pictures below show my 6.5' wide by 24' long van in the spot. Very obvious this is not a 10 X 25. 5.5 feet of rear overhang and still 5 feet sticking out front. This space is maybe 15' long at best. Called corporate office to get a lower rate or find a spot the size I needed. Was denied. After getting transferred 6 times, I wound up back at the location phone who have no power to assist. Called back today since the local managers cannot do refunds apparently and keep getting told that I was over the 24 hour grace period to cancel and get refunded. My van was there 21 hours and I called to cancel about 8 hours after I had initially gone in and again in the morning. Can't get a human, so they should be able to get the timestamp off the voice mails. The latest is, they will not refund the "Administration Fee" even though they assigned me a space that was not what I had reserved. Not done with these people yet. I will get a full refund. If you want an over priced storage space with absolutely no service whatsoever, this place is for you. If you need to reach someone with questions? Forget about it. The office is never open, there's never anyone there to speak to. So when you drive over there with a truck full of stuff that's taken you all day to pack, then you can't actually access your storage locker, GOOD LUCK! This happened to me today. Office is closed - supposed to be open until 6pm. All three contact phone numbers go to voicemail and nobody will return your call, ever. Don't try calling their 800 number either. They just transfer you to the same number and no response. Store your valuables somewhere else. These people couldn't give a fuck about you or your business. read more

When I closed my brick and mortar store right before COVID hit, I needed a close, large storage unit ASAP, as things were happening quickly. I was able to get a decent spot at this facility, and Victoria was super helpful. After about a year, my rent was raised a little - to be expected. I will give them props for only increasing my rent once a year after that (another facility I rented from increased my rent by 30% after 6 months, but that's another story and another review). I moved out of Public Storage after 2.5-3 years (don't remember exact dates) due to a HUGE rent increase. Now, I get it, storage facilities evaluate the local market on a regular basis, etc. But when you have an already long term customer, who will stay - who WANTS to stay - for the long run, maybe take that into consideration when doing rent increases. (for the record, I stayed with my previous storage facility from 1995-2022... They closed when the land was purchased by Google. The rent increases during that entire time were EXTREMELY reasonable.) Pros - pretty accessible (especially with the app - love that aspect), good customer service (when you are able to get in touch with someone). Cons - not a very clean facility. Dark/poorly lit. Access doors and elevators only worked about 75% of the time, obvious break-ins at some units, and finding someone to talk to was difficult. My phone calls were never returned. The best way to reach someone was to physically go into the office. You would think with the amount of money made just from yearly rent increases alone, this facility would have made some significant updates in safety, lighting and staff; or at the very least guaranteed the elevators would work. read more

With the thought of having one of my best friends help. Well I caught her with my partner in a awkward position. The next day. Distraught I called the wrong people to help. They left me with a huge mess. Disabled , it was just me. Victoria and Kevin worked with me. We're so very patient Accommodated me being handicap. It was all I had left. I thought I would lose everything. But renting me a unit there. Gave me a chance. They gave me the opportunity to feel whole again. Since i became disabled. Giving me time. I called Public Storage customer service to inquire about check out. I was told that all they need is a 3 day notice. I'm thinking...what a great company. I then go online to research further and they walk you through the process. Again thinking, what a great company. I stopped my automatic payment as suggested and paid for the few days I had my unit this month. I went by today and pulled out the couple of things left then checked out in the front office as recommended. I was informed that I would be charged for the whole month. I informed the manager I was told by customer service that I just needed a three day notice plus online the information mentioned the 3 day notice then settling up with a payment or credit. The manager had no sympathy. She said I had the option of not paying and being taken to collections. Really! I asked her if she was going to keep the unit open since I paid for it for the remainder of the month, or rent it out and get paid double for it. She said I could go put my lock back on the empty unit but if I forgot to cancel it at the end of the month I'll be charged for another month. Again...really? If I was clearly informed of their checkout policy I would have remove my two small items at the end of last month. But I'm thinking clearly informing the consumer is not to their advantage...but deception is. I'll never use Public Storage for my storage needs ever again. And I reccomend you take your business somewhere else as well! read more

I needed a quick fix that day storage unit and public storage was the only facility open. They were able to rent me a unit over the phone. However out of the dozen or so units I've rented across California, this facility is grungy and not user friendly. Starting with the entry gate, you have to exit the car to open the gate, both entering and exiting. I appreciate that you must enter your access code to use the elevator, but the elevator keeps wanting to close on you as your entering it. There doesn't seem to be any ventilation on the second floor which makes for an extremely hot and stuffy environment. My unit was rented to me a 5x5x8 however it had a sprinkler pipe running thru the middle which took two feet off the ceiling space. The staff was been very friendly and accommodating but I won't be staying with this unit. It's too inconvenient and difficult to access. read more

I've been renting a 5x10 with public storage for the last 2 years, their customer service is excellent but their rates are too high. Earlier this year, they decided to up my rent by $30 dollars and when I recently lost my job, I figured I'd see if I could have my rate lowered. I called earlier this week and spoke with the property manager to make the formal request. She let me know she'd submit the request and let me know their response. I called customer service today and was just told that my request was declined, no reason given. I make all my payments on time each month and I never cause any trouble. Please do yourself a favor and save yourself the money, go rent with someone else. Not worth the headache of having to move elsewhere after a couple of years. read more

My unit's sliding door was broken and despite complaining to the property manager on 2 separate occasions nothing was done to fix the problem. Elevator stop in building A does not work on the lower half and is a major hazard. I also moved out the day before the next billing cycle and was still billed for the next month through auto pay with 0 customer service help. Avoid this location, they dont provide the "product" you pay for and overcharge you on the way out. read more

The management were asking people to leave 5-star reviews after renting out a unit... I had two terrible experiences. The first was when the person who was working reception was sitting in front of the store with 2 other people smoking cigarettes. She was telling people the manager would be there soon until after maybe 20 minutes she opened the door and let people in. I was told on the phone that I wouldn't have to pay for storage until midway through the month. Turns out that meant "the last day to pay for a unit" was midway through the month. Man, I wish I Yelped this place before I moved all of my Grandma's antiques and dad's electronics there. If you don't mind having all your stuff stolen, rent a place here. I was emailed that the lock was missing on my unit and that management had replaced it. When I went over later that day, my unit was cleaned out. I'm not sure why they don't pay someone $15/hr to watch the grounds, but clearly they don't give a shit. I can safely say that there is a 99% chance that your unit will get broken into. I have rented many storage units over the years, and honestly, what makes or breaks the experience is parking, cleanliness, hours available and customer service. This spot has great parking. After a few months of ghetto conditions, it's relatively clean now. The hours and customer service are horrible. The lot used to be open 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Now is it available, ostensibly, 9:30 - 6:00. I arrived today (Monday) at 5:40. No access to my unit. The office was locked although the signage states office hours are until 6:00. I can't access my unit until 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, which won't work for me. My rent has tripled in 4 years with absolutely no notice. I've had horrible exchanges with the office staff; although, I haven't spoken with them recently, so they may have been replaced. I've been renting here for a while, and I have to say I'm pretty unimpressed. Aside from the reports other people have of theft, the facility provides very little. Sure, they provide a 10x10 room for me to dump my stuff, but the rates have been rising ever since I moved in, and now they want $190 per month for what used to cost me $120? No, thank you. They've provided nothing new that would merit such a rent increase; they don't even have dollies available to move things. I'm moving out by my next bill, and I called the central call center to try to do something about their absurd rates. They'd rather just let me move out. Well, I can see about 5 other storage facilities from the nearby freeway overpass, so I'll be going to one of those. read more

I have to say though that Jason and Victoria have been nothing but absolutely amazing! They have gone above and beyond to help my family and I. Moving a storage unit to another location is a real pain, but it's something I'm going to need to do at some point in the near future. I'll need to do so because this place has lost it's appeal as a an easy-to-use storage facility. I currently have 3 storage units but have had several more at one time. I have only this unit with Public Storage and I'll not have this one for too much longer (free time permitting). Towards the end of last year, I recently received a notice of a rate increase after having had the unit for six months or so. Not cool but it's not like one wouldn't expect a rate increase once a year or so anyway. But just six month into the rental isn't cool. A month or so later, THEN they sent out a notice advising us renters that access would ONLY be allowed during the hours when their on-site offices were open. Sorry, but that REALLY doesn't work for me. I'm often out the door early in the a.m. and home later at night. I can't always get to my unit during the limited hours their offices are open. And, to top it off, someone that works very near to this place tells me that the police are there almost daily because there are lots of "issues" with this location (thefts, other things). The grounds have really gone down hill as far as the "looks" of the property. And, when I was recently grabbing some stuff from my unit, I noticed another unit that was partially open and stuff outside of the unit but nobody was around or were there even other cars in the lot. I informed the on-site manager and her response was essentially "yeah, so what?" Not her words but certainly her attitude. I would NOT recommend this location. read more

I have recommended this place to 2 of my sisters (in-law) and helped move them in. I have had no problems with any of their staff, in fact they have been very accommodating and helpful every time we go in. They are alway very positive. Whenever I have had any problems (like losing the gate code) they are fast to resolve it. I just moved one sister out of her storage as she has moved into a new place and they have made it very smooth and hassle free. We took advantage of their first month dollar deal and pricing here is very competitive even after the first month. It was the lowest I found both times I looked at places on line. Top storages can get a little hot but what can you say its summer. They have some floor vents I definitely recommend this place even if it's for a short time. read more

I have always liked Public Storage, good facilities, competitive rates, helpful staff. I rented space a couple of months ago, and it has already become less attractive. Instead of daily access, as of Dec 1st, access ends during weekdays when office hours end. This means if you work and don't want to wait until the weekend to get to your stuff, DO NOT RENT HERE! It is completely against the concept of easy access to cut the most critical weekday hours. read more

I really hate to complain on yelp but I cant get over my experience with this location. I had a large storage unit for almost a year and I had put my notice in a couple months ago. I hadn't been to my storage unit in a couple months and when I was removing my items, I found my couch, a box of meaningful personal items, and a rug covered in mold. There had been a leak from all the crazy storms we were having. Luckily, I had insurance which was able to cover most of the items. The part that really irritated me was when I let the office know, the woman in the office could have cared less and I don't even think gave me eye contact. She just handed me paper with insurance information and told me to call insurance. I asked her if she should come look at the unit since there is mold and she turned to a gentleman in the office and said, "will you go look at the unit since insurance will call and asked if we checked." I then figured I would need to call a company to come pick up the moldy items and dispose of them. I asked if I could have a couple extra days to get that taken care of and she said she would pro-rate me the days. She then called a few days later and asked me to pay my months bill and I had a late fee. Extremely annoyed, I called corporate and the regional manager was so helpful. He said I wouldn't have to pay for the time and he would help me dispose of the items. I was so happy with the situation until I got a call from a collection agency saying Public Storage sent my month bill to collections. I called to speak with the manager and she hasn't called me back yet. Extremely disappointed. read more
