I needed a storage space and this place had some of the best prices around. I rented one of the smaller ones that is up on the wall and accessible by using the ladder. That was the cheapest option and enough for what I needed. They have an app that you can make payments on and set up auto payments. It has all of your account information so you can get in with a code or the phone. The phone didn't work most of the time so I had to enter the code. There is a secure gate and then 2 more secure doors that require the code so it's well protected. You can only access the area where your unit is, so if it not on the second floor you can't get up there. The main complaint I had was people never return the ladders or carts so it can be difficult getting your stuff. The first year was one price. After that it went up. The local staff were great about showing the units, signing up and then ending the contract. Good place for storage.

We recently decided to switch storage places for a few reasons. Our rent had recently been raised at our old place, and the security wasn't great. We looked around for a similar size to what we had and made and reservation online. We postponed our move-in date a few times due to COVID, but they were understanding up to the point where there was a deadline for the reservation to expire. We were told to keep an eye on their website for deals or changes in prices based on availability, supply/demand, etc.. Our original reservation was for a 5x11, though the day before our move-in, we found a special online for a 5x15 that was less expensive than our smaller original reservation. I made the reservation for the new 5x15 as well, since why wouldn't we want more space for less money? I called the office and spoke to the manager, Lee, who explained to me the reason for the special low price was that it is actually three 5x5s side-by-side with the middle walls knocked out. So instead of your typical 5ft. wide and 15ft. deep, it goes only 5ft. deep and 15ft. wide (across). Other drawback was that there are 3 separate doors, all needing individual locks.*** We decided to keep both reservations so we could see both units and make a decision from there. They told me that only one person was allowed in the office at a time, and face-coverings were required (good). When we arrived, Lee informed us that despite our reservation, there were no 5x11s left, only 5x10. After looking at the units, we decided that the extra space at the better deal was worth having to deal with multiple doors/locks, and went with the 5x15. They have carts available to use that are generally available depending on how many people are there. The lights are all on sensors, so while it seems dark, things light up as you walk. The floors are soft and smooth which makes a big difference after storing somewhere that had very loud and uneven floors. To access our building, you do have to get out of your car to enter the code into the intercom box, which is a negative. The convenience and security of being able to pull up and enter your code from your vehicle makes a difference, especially for my wife feeling safe if she is going alone. They have security cameras covering the gate entrance/exit area, but nothing once you get further in. Part of me wishes they had more coverage once inside, but their reason of protecting people's privacy also makes some sense. The units themselves seem very secure. Our last place we ended up having to get a collapsable shower rod and curtain to hang on the inside because you could see through the sides of the doors right into the unit. This Public Storage does not have that issue, which is really nice and comforting. There is a steel mesh type cover over the top in our building, which seems secure so people don't come through the top. Overall we are happy with our move and decision to switch to Public Storage. This location is convenient off the freeway and we feel comfortable with the security of our stuff. Lee was very nice and easy to work with. From what I've gathered, she has been the manager there for 10+ years and runs the show for all things logistics and security. The process of doing all the paperwork and setting everything up was very quick, smooth, and easy. They were very cautious about staying a good distance form each other and even made my wife stay outside initially until they let her come in and stand in the far corner (lol). We felt safe and comfortable the whole time which was important to our experience and desire to stat long-term. They have an ongoing deal for $1 first month's rent and 15%-30% off rent if booked online. We plan to stay here for as long as possible until they raise our rent to the point where it's unaffordable and we have to move on. Hoping that doesn't happen! Thanks again Lee and the rest of the PS B-Game staff! ***NOTE: They use special bolt-style locks that are specifically designed for their storage doors, meaning you have to purchase a lock through them ($20/ea). If you have your own pad lock, you can use that as additional security, but their lock is required to store there.

I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years but they no longer value my patronage. They not only raised the monthly rent multiple times (which is expected for inflation) but they also discontinued a discount that I had on my unit since they knew I would be a long-term renter. When I tried to negotiate a compromise, all I received back was pretty much a "Don't like it? Then get out." I hate businesses that don't keep their word. Very disappointed how they've become just like any other public storage location. =(

In our time there we never had any problems with the basic functionality, like the elevator, or using our code to get in. I got a space here back in 1998 when my mom dumped a bunch of fancy furniture on me that I wasn't ready to move into my house. After that it became a catch all for some random family heirlooms. It was around 2007 that there was a leak and they needed to move all my stuff to another unit. I was out of town for a business trip and gave them permission to move my stuff. I got back and checked it out and everything was fine. This is also when they got their first strike. One of the employees asked me where I was for my business trip. I told him and he looked at me (and my mom who was visiting) and while referencing the nationality of people from that country, referred to them as the N-word of that part of the world. Shocked, I looked at my mom who was shaking her head in disbelief. In 2013 I had changed banks and my autopayment from my old bank still got sent to them even though the account was closed. The check bounced and I went in there to give them money and let them know the autopayments would be coming from another bank the following month. The same employee as the 2007 incident was there when I walked in with my Asian partner. He must have recognized me and wanted to ask me about the check because he came up and said "SUMTING WONG!!" which was in reference to the check from the closed account. That took off another point. They lose more points for letting everyone that ever worked there smoke in the office and entryway. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE. The original small statured man from 1998, to his replacement, to the guy with no filter... when they finally shut down and I had to pull everything out, they had a woman there watching the doors who sounded just like Marge Simpson's sister with a Camel cigarette hanging out of her mouth. The only reason they got 2 stars was because the rate never increased in 20+ years.

When we asked what they were referring to they said now it's closing October 1. The place said that they sent out three warnings that neither of us got?!! They couldn't find a contract to know if there was a deposit paid that was refundable. Before they told anyone else when we were there last June we also didn't get a notice that time... I had to run out and get a new storage place for my stuff before I figured everyone that has been there runs as well. Unfortunately more expensive but nicer, no rats or water damage from leaky pipes (you waived liability when renting). As you get off the freeway you see there is another storage place somewhere across the street so I suppose some people could have moved there. It's too bad everything small and private keeps getting ripped down for condos and apartments and more condos and apartments.... They never raised the rent though which was refreshing and they did not demand coverage by homeowner or separate policy like others.
