I have one unit at this location and was in need of another to store some tools and supplies. The property manager Ken was very helpful taking the time to go over the different size units and I ended up with the perfect size for my needs saving me money because I was going to rent a unit that would have been larger and more expensive than I would have needed. read more

I prefer this location over my other storage in pompano. The location is cleaner and not as crowded. The employees are much friendlier and helpful. The only issue I have is the price. The customer service at this location is a joke. The app said office hours are from 6am to 9pm. There's never anyone in the office when I go to the location or call. However, when I owed $4.65 for the second month of rent, they blew up my phone THE DAY IT WAS DUE until I paid it. When my EMPTY unit didn't have a lock on it yet, they called me several times on the weekend to secure it. I also received several text messages to pay my bill but when I check the app, it's paid up for the month. When I called them to go get the aforementioned lock, no one answered the phone, but they kept calling me. I arranged TWICE to meet someone to go pick up my lock & no one was in the office after 9:30am after the property manager said someone would be. I never even moved stuff into this place & I'm so glad I didn't. I'm closing my unit here & going to another company. So many headaches & nothing to show for it. Save your money, it's NOT worth it! ETA: I received two callbacks after I submitted my move out date. One call was regarding me calling YESTERDAY saying I was outside the office waiting for someone. The second was them wanting to know why I was leaving. Both were from the same lady (whom I will not name for privacy). She says when you register online, it's a different process & my lock was inside the unit. I told her I spoke with four different people, including her & specifically asked if I can go to the office to pick up my lock & ask questions & was told yes. The office hours posted are a lie & they don't check their messages frequently it seems. Thank God it wasn't an emergency. I reiterated several times I would NOT be staying there. I actually found a bigger facility closer to my house that gave detailed instructions for picking up the lock & completing the registration online. Looking at the existing reviews, I'm guessing Tiffany is good. But I haven't interacted with her. What I can tell you is that after being here are 2 things: 1. Storage wars is bullshit. What storage lockers are they at? 2. The horror movie industry has been slacking because this is probably one of the sketchiest and unsettling places I've been to. Here's why. To get in, you pull up to a sliding gate that could double as an animal enclosure. Enter this long ass passcode to get in, and just park wherever. It's desolate, like frighteningly empty and quiet. Congress is 30 feet away and you hear nothing. Except a disjointed series of bangs, groans, moans, and other unidentifiable noises. Once Inside, you get to enjoy resident evil style lighting and decor. Dark, numerous stains everywhere. The elevator is the best part- because it's a freight, you have to load it. Send it to the floor desired, and race to meet it there. Make sure you keep the doors open so no one can call it down and take your shit. During your race, you have to traverse the stairwell. If you've seen The Wire or The Corner on hbo, that's pretty accurate. Junkie and pee smell included for no extra charge. Now since it's a storage place, hand carts seem to be pretty logical to have on hand. Well there are 1-2 here only. And no one knows where. The woman here told me it's in a place that she tripped on. How?!?! It's all open and outside, and inside there's nothing obstructing your view. Are you playing Birdbox?? And.... if you tripped on it.... maybe return it to the place it's suppose to be? I rented a storage space for 2 months, June and July, to travel. I called and told them that I have returned and am picking up my truck. They gave me the gate code on the 28th and removed my vehicle on the 29th. On the 31st of July I started driving back to Nashville (I have plenty of food and gas credit card receipts). On the 1st of August I checked into a 15 day stay in Nashville, on the 2nd of August, I attended a meeting for work in Nashville, TN, on the 4th at 5am, I started work as a school bus driver. There is NO WAY, I could have used the gate code on the 3rd of August in Boyton Beach, FL like they are telling me because they charged me for the month. I need my $171.20! read more

BAIT AND SWITCH! I rented a 5 X10 unit at Public Storage at 3400 South Congress Ave, Boynton Beach FL 33426. The unit was about 20% smaller than advertised. I called customer service and spoke with a manager (Michelle) telling her that I lived in NJ and needed the advertised size that I paid for. She said all advertised sizes are only estimates. I re-checked the website and saw that a link needed to be clicked which describes the potential for variance in size from the advertised units. My unit was almost 20% smaller than advertised! Why is the disclaimer for "estimated" sizes not more prominently displayed on their website??? I was now stuck with my furniture that would not fit in the unit. I had to return the furniture to my house. I explained to the manager Michelle that I would now have to come back to Florida from NJ to store the furniture in another ACTUAL 5 X10 unit. She said she can not guarantee me that another unit would be actual 5X10. I told her I would therefore upgrade to a 10 X10 unit but felt I should be offered some proper pricing accommodation for the INCREDIBLE INCONVENIENCE AND EXTRA COST incurred to me (including a plane flight) due to their misleading advertising. She said she would speak to the district manager (Dan Williams) and ask him to call me. Several days went by and no call from Dan Williams! I then called customer service three more times over three more days explaining my predicament. I was practically begging the representatives for Dan Williams to call me back. Each representative that I spoke with assured me they will send him my urgent message. I NEVER received a call back from Dan Williams!!!! I ultimately returned to Florida and rented a beautiful 10 X 15 unit from a company called Life Storage in near by Lake Worth Florida. The Life Storage unit and their entire beautiful facility BLOWS away ugly Public Storage and is even about 30% less expensive! The manager at Life Storage was awesome! Public Storage is a rip off! An ugly dump! HORRIBLE customer service from the Senior Management! I'm now just waiting for the predictable, useless response I may finally get from Public Storage because of this honest review. Return ALL my money, fix your misleading advertising, discipline your pathetic senior managers and lower your prices for your inferior product! Unless you are looking for a good nightmare sequence, impromptu threats of "police seizure of your property" and a solid encounter with one of the rudest and most disrespectful employees you could ever care to meet, stay far far away from this place, and specifically anyone who works there named Norbitt. Keep in mind that I am a lone 5-foot-tall 28-year-old female and not a hardened criminal or brute whose presence may have at all appeared threating or imposing and this man yelled and screamed at in such a way that I was physically scared and almost even brought to tears. After booking, pre-paying and providing a move in date and time for a boat trailer parking spot at the facility, I arrived with the transport company who had hauled my boat to Florida only to find the office locked and abandoned despite normal business hours. We waited an hour, knocking and calling with no signs of life. Finally the transporter said they couldn't wait any longer so having really no other choice other than leaving the boat in the middle of the entrance, we parked the empty trailer on the almost entirely empty back row of run down car and boat trailer storage spots. I then waited until someone finally emerged from the office so i could speak to them about the situation and make any needed adjustments. This man Norbitt told me he was going to call the police and have my boat trailer impounded because the spot it was parked in (in its very empty back row of boat trailer and broke down car storage) Might have been someone else's--even though it wasn't-- and that I was illegally trespassing despite having pre reserved and Paid for a spot and also already had an existing storage unit on the premises. I explained to him that I was very sorry and short of having the driver leave it in the middle of their front entrance I didn't have much of an option. I told him I would be happy to come back and move it to another one of the zillion empty spots when my husband got off work or if he wanted to help me roll it to another spot I could do it right then and then. After playing Gandhi for an hour and finally getting him to calm down and actually speak with me he demanded the title and registration for the trailer, for which I gladly provided him copies off including the bill of sale. At this point he lashed out once again, claiming that they would not accept copies and that although I had a notarized bill of sale and title signed over to me that they could no longer honor my booking At All unless I had originals on my person at that moment or I did not remove it from the premises within an hour he would call the cops and have it impounded. Not having a trailer hitch on my car or anyone to immediately help me mover the trailer I pleaded with him to give me a few hours to rent a U-Haul with a hitch or find someone to relocate the trailer he told me I had 1 hour before he called the cops! WTF! Finally after thankfully talking to someone at a Nice Normal storage facility they informed me that they could have one of the staff come pick up the trailer and bring it to their facility (way less expense and way nicer) for a small fee! Thank god for nice people!!! My experience with this man and this place is too long, drawnout and horrible to even fully outline but if you value your time, sanity and personal possessions do not set foot in that office! That being said my previous move in date I had worked with a woman named Tiffany who was nothing but the nicest and most professional person ever. Had a space barely large enough to fit my trailer. Occupant of the next space apparently didn't understand the purpose of the lines on the pavement. Management did nothing to rectify. My trailer was damaged by cats. They ripped up my spare tire cover and the trailer reeks of cat pee. Charged another month after I cancelled service. Told me they would refund, it't now 30 days, so I'm just going to dispute the charge with CC company. If that's the experience you want, then this is the place to get it. read more

The only reason why I'm giving this facility 4 stars instead of 5 is because there's only 1 dolly in ea building and it smelled a bit damp and moldy. Other Public Storage facilities I've used in the area have a bunch of dollies so you don't have to make as many trips.
