THE BEST! I've moved 8 times in the past 20 years. I've had 2 great moves (if any pain-in-the-neck move can be considered great), 5 average moves (always some minor to moderate damage, sometimes hidden), 1 bad move (items stolen or missing). Ada Moving was one of the GREAT ones. 1. Responsiveness was amazing in today's world of telephone bots/press 1/leave a number for call backs that may or may not come. Ada or wife Beth never failed to call me within minutes of me calling with a question. Note: Ada does not check voicemail which was a little off-putting when I first heard their greeting message. But I quickly realized the reason is Beth or he is in touch voice-to-voice within minutes to avoid phone tag. 2. I moved to a high-end condo project with crazy strict moving/insurance/hours policies. Ada handled all the requirements, contacts, negotiations without me having to lift a finger. 3. The Ada moving team of Jay, Tito and Eric showed up exactly on time each of the two moving days. I was ready with coffee, juice, bottled water and McDonald's breadfast. It was appreciated but went almost untouched as the guys worked lirterally non-stop for 8+ hours each day, not even stopping for the Chick-fil-A lunch I had brought in. All furnishings and unboxed accessories were fully wrapped and extreme care was shown with not even a smudge on a wall as everything was taken out. And then unwrapped and deposited exactly where I wanted it on the other end. FABULOUS work guys! 4. We used Ninette, an independent associate of Ada, who spent two days with my wife packing kitchen, bathrooms, accessories, clothing, including valuable designer bags and shoes which were segregated for special handling. After the move, Ninette spent a day unpacking and logically placing everything in drawers and cabinets with no guidance needed. BRAVO Ninette! 5. Bottom line: Is Ada cheap? YES when you consider the added cost of bargain movers I've used in the past. Money spent to repair damage, fees to have my attorney threaten or file lawsuits, not to mention spending my valuable time stressing about shoddy work. So JUST USE ADA and put a smile on your face when your upcoming dreaded move is quickly behind you with perfect results. read more

This company taught me a lot. I learned that when they relieve you of your items they say you have insurance. Well it's 60 cents a pound and if the movers relieve you of your expensive possessions and you think your painting that was worth thousands but by the pound it's only $6.00. This team are best movers I have had. I have moved around the world from Vietnam, Manila and across the US, have had numerous issues when moving. This is not the case with ADA, they were punctual, packed everything with care and nothing was broken. I really appreciated their attention to detail. Terrible service. Owner was rude. They were a day late which screwed me up with my building elevator schedule. This isn't just a one off either. I have used them for years and the service gradually got worse and worse until this time that was a disaster. I paid to crate a 63" plasma which they managed to break Do not use them for anything. Initially, I was pleased with this company, because they were available with short notice on a holiday weekend. I should have noticed from the beginning that this company was going to be an issue. When I first called, the owner said to send him an email with details of my move and then hung up (without providing his email address). He later text me his email address, and I figured he was busy so not a big deal that his customer service skills aren't quite up to par. I spoke with his wife (I believe that's who she was), and she was very friendly and helpful. I hired them to move a one bedroom apartment into a moving trailer. I hired another moving company to unload when the trailer arrived, and the first thing they wanted to know was whether I packed this myself or actually paid someone to pack it for me. The moving company was concerned, immediately took pictures, and had me look at the poor quality done before they began unpacking anything. Fragile and glass items were placed on the bottom, with heavier boxes placed on top. Boxes were crushed and furniture was damaged. Including tip, I paid over $400 for Ada's moving services. I contacted Ada Moving that same day (Friday) to discuss my complaint. Ada was not in the office and I was told that he would contact me later; however, I was never contacted. I called again on Monday to discuss this matter with him; however, nobody answered the phones a single time. I later received a text instructing me to email him my complaints, which I did and requested a phone call in return (which never happened). I received a rude and unprofessional email in response from Ada himself. I expected a business owner to at least apologize for the poor quality of the services I paid good money for, but it quickly became evident what kind of company I was dealing with at this point. I am not going to ramble on, because I do not expect this company to resolve this matter and it has been much more stressful dealing with them than I intended. I expected to hire them, have them move my items, pay them, and be done with them. Given that Ada had zero intentions of at least returning my phone call to hear my complaint, and then blaming me for these issues via email, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. Ada's moving company is not BBB accredited, and their rating with the BBB is a C+ due to not responding to previous complaints made by customers. If you have any issues with this company in the future, do not expect them to care to resolve the matter. I am skeptical to even post this review online given the emails I received from the owner, and expectations that he will likely reply with some rude comment, but I think it is important for customers to know this information prior to considering hiring them for their upcoming move. What A nightmare! I would never recommend that you suffer through the BS that we went through. The owner of the company is completely off his rocker! After getting a fairly reasonable quote, we decided to choose ADA. It all went downhill from there. On our moving day, the truck was not big enough to handle everything we had to move. The next day they came back with another truck and they were still unable to get everything. When I reached out to the owner, he began screaming at me like a madman saying things like, "You are not a professional mover! How would you know what is entailed in moving." He also changed the price twice while we were in the process of our move. The men actually working hard were great, but that does not make up for the unprofessional behavior of the owner.
